Review Rangiora Smokehouse - Rangiora

SO BLOODY GOOD. We got the sharing platter for 2 and everything was amazing. I was skeptical about it having mashed spuds because that sounded boring but these were the best spuds and gravy I've ever had. All the meats were delicious, our favourites being the pork belly and slow cooked brisket. It was the perfect amount of food for my partner and I. Definitely will be back, keen to try the southern fried kitchen and ribs!

Really enjoy the Holly smoke brisket was tender and juicy pork rib was good too the whole meal could be better if have more choice of sauce to go with it seem to me that BBQ sauce is on every meat and not very much taste of anything else it's just spoiled the rub on the meat service staff did a wonderful job all by himself 6 table at the same time and the food was served to our table at all perfectly timing manner, conclusion 🙂 will coma back for more and would recommend to any one that's not vegan.

Service was great. We got the platter for 2. Good food but the brisket was still chewy and the only meat that was smokey were the wings. The pork belly was done well but again could only taste smoke on the fat.

Just OK for us. Very friendly service. Great waffle fries. Slaw and potatoes average. I found some of the meat a bit dry but quite tasty. The platter was good value for two to share and was served surprisingly fast. We prefer a tap beer, which is not available here. Overall good but not great. We'll likely be back to try the ribs!

A really good place to go for lunch, the food and the prices are fabulous, the only thing that this restaurant could do better is the seating. All they need to do is to put some cushions on the chairs

Rangiora Smokehouse is delicious! I can't get enough!! I highly recommend the sharing platter called the 'Papa Likes' which feeds up to four people, I personally think this is the perfect dish to order for trying something new because the platter has great variety of what this amazing barbecue restaurant has to offer. I definitely agree that this restaurant is a great add to the Rangiora community, the brisket and waffle fries has to be my favourite. Very friendly an welcoming owner!! 😎😁

Was ok big platter 80 plus dollars for 2 adults and two kids. No chemical aftertaste in very tender my tasty meat.

Easy for me to say that they have the best pork belly I've ever tried. It simply melts in your mouth. Brisket was also delicious and the combination on the platter with coleslaw salad and mash potato on gravy sauce goes very well. Excellent food overall! Also, very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fabulous, partner and I couldn’t decide what we wanted from the delicious sounding menu so we ordered a platter, southern fried chicken and a half rack of ribs. Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff were very friendly, polite and attentive. Will definitely be back!

After months of delivering food from here, and driving myself made with the aromas my fiancee and I went out here for dinner last night . Wow absolutely perfect. Brisket and pork belly absolutely melt in your mouth perfect.. and the ribs so meaty and juicy.. the southern chicken was a pleasant surprise right amount of seasoning and crunch. As a ex chef myself I can appreciate the time and love that goes into that meat, and the owner is a good guy as well, always good for a chat.

We came here for the first time and it was just divine! We ordered a Holly Smoke which was the big sharing platter that came with everything in it. I am not a bit fan of Brisket but it was very tender and very juicy not dry at all. My husband said that this restaurant is on par with those BBQ shops in the states when we visited years ago. The service was prompt, helpful and friendly. We will definitely come back for me and we were very full so didn’t try the desserts but they all just look yummy.

Had my daughter's birthday dinner there. We ordered a 2x holu smoke platters, next level birthday platter, spares ribs and buns. Meat was flavoursome and very tender. Even the fussiest eater enjoyed their meal. We had to take the rest home because we couldn't get through it all.. Staff was very helpful and very pleasing. Great atmosphere too. Thank-you for an enjoyable dinner.

Bit of a late review went here a couple of weeks ago. We got the platter "Papa likes" ($44.50) to share between two people which was plenty of food for us. I have to say its ALOT of meat, it should be being a smokehouse! if your vegan maybe give it a miss. Personally i enjoyed the brisket, pork belly and sausage the most. Very very tasty not sure how they got the brisket so tender but they did amazing. Shearing the platter $22.50 pp is good value too considering the amount of food. Give it a try!
