Fantastic experience here. Food is excellent, service is awesome... Aaron and Tara make you feel like you're part of the family. Parking is great, can get many large truck and trailers in and out with ease. I highly recommend anyone to stop here!!!

Stayed a night in our caravan had a few beers and the best bacon and egg burger ever. Great hosts and a friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend stopping in for a break.

Nice rural pub with great well priced food. Worth the stop on your journey along SH5.

Worth a visit especially for their burgers, Best I have ever had. We also spent the night. Really rustic but super comfortable. And Arron is a great host.

Lovely people running this establishment, great atmosphere, down to earth these little pubs are Dying out. Please call in and support the little country pubs before they are all gone. Keep up the good work

This is a great place to stop very friendly owners and huge portions on the plate easy parking and lovely view Place is full Of history so don’t miss it It’s a good spot to stop as the next food and bar is Taupo We forgot to pay for a wine and rang to ask for their bank account but the gracious owner said no worries enjoy our drive🤓😵‍💫👍

Another great lunch had at Rangitaikei Tavern today. It's the 4th time I have just headed out there from Taupo to enjoy the food and atmosphere, and had visitors tag along with me. 👍

Great place to stop to break the trip home. Food was hearty with chips to die for! Great Value! The hosts were friendly and talkative. Would stop again!

Super grateful they being around for a much needed driving break!
