Review The Raumati Social Club - Raumati Beach

Peter Kurdulija
A neat cafe not far from Wellington. The new freeway made it even more accessible. The wooden interior makes it very warm and welcoming, the friendly staff adds to the feeling. The food and coffee were good, and I will certainly be back.

I was impressed by the fast and friendly service here. Food was lovely and coffee was amazing, i would come here again, very pleased

Wow amazing food and equally amazing customer service from front-of-house staff. We’ve now found our new favourite local food spot here in Kāpiti & will be looking forward to coming back again soon!

This Mōrena I visited The Raumati Social Club for breakfast. Scrumptious kai, great kāwhe, delicious smoothie. The atmosphere was pleasant, plenty of ka pai places to sit, inside or out. Service was excellent, very welcoming and polite, and served promptly. Well frequented by locals, having their mōrena kāwhe and a read of the mōrena paper. Great menu for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. We'll worth the visit.

Awesome 'local' cafe, incredibly good service and care, speedy brunch arrival, great coffee (cappuccino, americano and oat latte)

Turned up last minute, was lucky to get in for $10 Burger night . Staff super friendly which made it easier as first timers. Had 3 out of 4 of burger choices, cauli burger by opinion was best looker, I had beef which was good and chicken also looked good. No issues with food - haven't marked low just have high expectations to get a 5 star(sorry) Very busy tonight, my seat was facing wall so couldn't give 5 star atmosphere as couldn't tell. Overall would I go again yes , would like to try other food options , good stuff Raumati Social Club 👍

Amazing little gem out in Raumati. Popped in the other day on a mission out to Staglands and got a great pair of coffees for me and my date (so good we got two more despite our better judgement). We didn’t have time for food that day, but there was a delicious carrot cake in the cabinet we had, and the menu looked stunning. Despite it being a 40 odd minute drive from my house, I’ll be sure to make a round trip in future to get a meal and some more coffee - I’ve been fortunate enough to have been served food prepared by the Head Chef here at past workplaces and have no doubt in my mind about her excellent work. Stellar place, great fit out, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Would love to see it in action in the evening, maybe for next time 😉

So many delicious options on the menu! Really lovely staff, great music, cool atmosphere. It's our new favourite on the Kāpiti Coast!

This café goes from strength to strength, whether its just for a coffee and one of their excellent scones, or a social evening with a superb meal and ale. It is still my favourite place to get a steak! Just love the smoke marrow butter on the perfectly cooked meat! One of my two top picks on the Kapiti coast :)

Warm atmosphere, amazing coffee, incredible owner. Love hanging out there in the mornings with my boys on weekends on the comfy couches and have equally awesome times going to concerts there. Truly unpretentious and a huge part of Raumati Souths charm

Superb fodder and water for any dark 🐴 or human. Jelapeno poppers a must - not for the faint 💨ed . New addition the hand cut 🍟 To wash the APA 🍻 down nicely. ☕️ unbeatable on the coast, pop in to the roastery in Paraparaumu if on that side of town and give Matthew 💩 if he is working.

A shining star on the Raumati South Coast. This cute cafe run by Matt and his partner offers a great selection of food and drinks served by the most friendly staff you can ever find on planet Earth. Live music is also available on selected days. Thumbs Up!!!

Love this little gem for brunch or lunch. Small but warm and quirky interior. Good menu offering slightly different to usual. Sell a range of gluten and dairy free products. B.Y.O too which is a winner for me!

Out for a ride and dropped in for a quick coffee this arvo.. couldn't resist the little lamb sausage roll at the counter.. was delish! Always really attentive service no matter what you are calling in for. Thanks guys..

Cool little cafe in Raumati South, 5 minute walk from where we are staying so though we would check it out. Big breakfast was nice a filling, nothing special. My friends had the Philly steak sandwich which was unfortunately a bit soggy. Service was okay. Coffee was nice and strong!

Love the quirky alternative atmosphere here (like carpet on the ceiling and not the floor).  Great live music at weekends.  Friendly staff (miss Melissa though now she's gone off travelling).  The Russian is a great meal - had it every time I have been here.  Great local café.
Rebecca
Great coffee and always have their Russian with pastrami breakfast. Pretty hard to beat for brunch in the northern parts of Wellington. :) :)

Cute little cafe and bar on the Kapiti Coast with Wellington vibes, tasty and healthy food options and a really good selection of beers and wine

We could tell all the food ingredients were fresh and high quality. The breakfast menu was limited, and the portion sizes were very small, so not very good value for money. Although the dishes were all well executed, it turned out to be a very expensive brunch.

Fluffy Review #2: Quality. Served classically - two marshmellows and a demitasse cup. Faultless really, presentation was nice, perhaps a little uncreative. Would have scored 4.5, but it was $2, which we consider too much for a fluffy. Chill atmosphere was a nice accompaniment to the beverage. 3.5/5

A new favourite. I had the pulled-pork sandwich with fries which was delicious. The blend of flavours in the sandwich was perfect, while the fries were crisp and sufficiently salty. Aside from the food, the atmosphere and service were exceptional. A genuine exemplification of the oft misused 'hidden treasure' cliche.

We went to the Raumati Social Club on Saturday 18 July for lunch.  We were seated promptly and our orders taken. There is a good local feel here. <br/>Two of us ordered the Fish and Chips - description being "Fish and Chips - beer battered fish, hand cut chips, slaw and tartare sauce".  On saying that I preferred aoli sauce rather than tartare sauce we were informed that it actually was aoli not tartare sauce.  <br/>We had a very very long wait for our food.  The restaurant was very busy but it did seem like our order was forgotten.  There was no apology.  We were left waiting with no communication for a long time.<br/><br/>The fish was average - the batter undercooked (i.e. was gluggy inside).  The chips a real disappointment.  The menu said hand cut chips. (there was also the option of shoe string fries with other items on the menu).  The chips we were served were not hand cut.  They were shoe string (probably of the frozen variety).  This was pointed out to the waitress and she was very off hand saying yes we should update our menu... the price remained the same $21.50 which for what we actually got wasn't good value. but the food itself wasn't great either.<br/><br/>I was really disappointed as this is a local restaurant and I was hoping that I would be writing an awesome review. <br/>Would i go back for a meal and would I recommend it?  Sadly no. May be for drinks and the live band.  But not for a meal.

Great food, great wines and bar, great music, great vibe ! Top 10 out of 10!!!! Been twice now and is certainly one of the nicest eat outs in Kapiti.

I popped in with a friend for cake and coffee. Decided against the cake as there were flies buzzing around in the cabinet, but my chai was lovely and my friend enjoyed her coffee. Nice ambience to the place with versitile seating options.

I called in for a spot of lunch whilst passing through Raumati on business. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I found a table in the sun and ordered the polenta stack. There's a very relaxed atmosphere and the food and coffee were superb. I'll definitely be back and would recommend to friends.

My son and I hang out down at raumati social club every Friday or sat to give my wife some well deserved sleep. He loves hanging out on the couch and playing with the toys and we get some awesome hangout time. Just a super relaxed cafe and Always has great friendly service and the best freakin coffee on the coast. Nice beats on the stereo too. Nice one

I seem to be popping down to the social club a lot lately, the atmosphere and the service are AMAZING! Along with the great coffee and food! As soon as you walk in you feel comfortable, I could sit there all day if life didn't call to take me away! Thanks for being part of our community guys see you again!

We are now regular visitors to Raumati Coast and decided to try the Raumati Social Club it is fantastic....it was Saturday night we couldn't get a table for two but we were happy to join the sharing big table with other diners. The staff are happy and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The starters Calamari was a large delicious dish and the salmon cakes were a perfect balance between fish and potato. The mains ..my husband had a great mussel dish and I had the lemony buttery fat prawns....cooked beautifully....a good selection of wine and beers. we will be back.

My partner and I go here at least once a week we love it, beautiful food, relaxed atmosphere and excellent wait staff :) By far our fav place to dine on the Coast. We would recommend the pork belly If you are heading to RSC for dinner. The platter is pretty good too.
Joanne
Had a few nibbles as we didn't feel like a big meal with a girlfriend had a nice bottle of wine and it was really reasonable - waitress was lovely and made the visit enjoyable - will definitely be going back there and will be telling all my friends about the lovely food and atmosphere - Joanne

Had a delicious lunch at RSC this week. Five of us dined - everyone really enjoyed their meals. Can highly recommend the winter bruschetta with pumpkin, feta and pears poached in red wine. Very yummy. Service was fantastic - nothing was too much to ask and staff were very attentive. Will definitely be back next time I'm on the Coast.

Recently we held a birthday function at the Raumati Social Club. We booked the whole venue and had a family style menu served for our guests. The service and food was excellent - plenty of variety and plenty of food. The atmosphere of the venue is warm and inviting and the acoustics are good too! We provided our own music and were pleased that we could, sing, dance and still hear ourselves talking! We will definitely do it again. Malo lava

Went for dinner for daughters hens night. The food was very good, and well presented. Scallop's are amazing, steamed vegetables fresh and crisp. staff very attentive and friendly. Prices on par with other restaurants in the area. Would recommend, and will definitely be going back. Thanks guys and gals for a lovely evening

Been to Raumati South Social Club twice and enjoyed both times. The first was to see music on a Sunday afternoon and the acoustic show was brilliant. The second was for brunch which was also very nice. <br/><br/>Only downside is the staff seem to be a little more interested in socialising and making sure the look the part than making sure people walking in are attended to. That said the coffees do arrive quickly after ordering and the food is very nice.

We are locals who spent a lot of time at the previous Lembas. It's great that RSC has a fresh look - the food has been very good-to-great (although the corn fritters were overly quick to disappear off the brunch menu) Love the carpet on the ceiling, mantlepiece and new bar - not so sure about where the stage is as always afraid of tripping over it. <br/>The cafe has a laid back and friendly feel and I hope they do well.

First time we've been here since it changed hands and what a revelation .... Raumati Social Club is superb! The service is great, the food is excellent and the place was buzzing, with every table occupied by happy customers. Nicest lunch I have had in ages (try their pies .... best on the coast we reckon) ..... With brilliant atmosphere to boot. Highly recommended.
