Review Hokianga Takeaways - Rawene

Great kai (excepting the wontons) though portions were small and the price a little steep. But, when you're the only joint that's open in a tiny wee town, you charge what you like / need to. I'll still be going back there next trip up! The crew were lovely also!

Hand on heart the best fish and chip iv had in years. The kai was perfect the burgers amazing juicy and worth every penny. The batter crispy and succulent. Customer service is beyond amazing they go above and beyond to make sure you and your whānau are well taken care of. Atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing. Ill definitely be back again🥰

Delicious food! Such a great price and you get local fish. Really friendly staff too. Grab some fish and chips if you are in the area. Leftovers taste great the next day too. One of the ladies there gave me an extra fillet cause she said the first one was too small!

I visited this spot during my Northland trip. Good spot to eat some fish and chips. I got chicken burger which was really nice. I was pleased to see that the entire place had only women staff! The staff was very friendly with some great customer service skills. For the first time ever I saw an Aoxoyl fish! I would definitely visit this takeaway again when I visit this place next time and would highly recommend! Cheers

High quality fish and chips. They use proper fresh fish, not frozen cheap stuff. I had a nice juicy Warehou, (sustainably fished apparently). Batter was thin and well fried, not thick and gloopy. Mussels and scallops were juicy. Can’t comment on the chips because I got potato fritters. Would 100% go here again.

Lovely service, we felt so welcomed there, first time in Rawene; The owner gave us some recommendations to visit in Northland. Garlic chips are a must to try there! Also, it has a pet friendly area :)
