Review Cafe At Vicky One - Remuera

Moisés Andrade Lawliex
One Vicky Ave Coffee offers a delightful coffee experience. Their coffee is superb, with a rich and inviting flavor that keeps me coming back. The staff is exceptionally attentive, always ready with a friendly smile and eager to assist. The ambiance of the cafe is incredibly pleasant, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for both catching up with friends or enjoying some peaceful alone time. With soothing lofi music that perfectly complements the cafe's atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great coffee, and lose yourself in the charm of the surroundings. It's a hidden gem in Remuera, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great cup of coffee and a warm, inviting space.

Ordered a $5 "medium" flat white to go. It is made within 2 minutes, but is a very small cup that made me wonder if the staff had got the wrong cup! It tastes ok, but I think is too weak just because I didn't get double shots. See the photo for its size.

Warm welcoming and quick service! Salad and carrot cake were yummy! Great spot for a PIT stop among daily chores!

Beautiful little cafe. Really good food. The hash cakes with the eggs Benedict were amazing! The only downfall is the location... hard to get a park, quite loud from the near traffic and cramped inside but it is worth it! Lots of yummy food to choose from. If you’re in the Remuera village, check this one for sure...

We were a party of five and the ladies at Vicky One quickly put two tables together away from the breeze of the open door. Food and drinks were served in a timely manner, with a smile. Helpful and friendly staff with delicious food.

Coffee, food and service are excellent! You can feel (and see) how much live these people invest on what they do. <3

Waitress was so kind and considerate, I heard people were leaving bad reviews and I couldn’t believe it to be true! To the owners of this cafe if you are reading this, please praise this young waitress as she is very good at her job and deserves a raise. I will definitely be coming back here again.

I had omelet with bacon, mushroom, tomatoes was really great, I love it

Stumbled across this gem by accident - amazing coffee, firstly the perfect temp and secondly the flavor of the coffee was best I've had anywhere. Breakfast was also beautiful. I had the black breaky and every single element on my plate was perfectly executed. Staff excellent. Highly recommended.

I love this cafe! One of the VERY FEW cafe's in Remuera where staff still wear masks and you feel safe covid protocols are still being followed. Staff are super friendly, and make a great hot chocolate :)

Such a treat to enjoy Coffee in the beautiful City of Auckland. One Vicky Ave offering great location and excellent fare. I appreciated the friendly efficient team's focus on attention to detail, and service. My hot lemon ginger drink a delicious alternative to the fav long black. Thank-you 🌹

Lovely local in Remuera. I came for years when 2 lovely sisters from the neighbourhood. I came back today and the young ladies are not there anymore but the new staff were friendly and food was tasty. Totally recommended.

Best coffee (and banana loaf) in Remuera, Norie and Aaron are the best! Come here for 10/10 service and a fantastic vibe.

Steak sandwich was good, not much to fault, just like any other burger but healthy and good quality.

This cafe is a semi-regular spot due to the handy location. This time we had a salmon and cream cheese tart, a chocolate brownie and some tea and coffee.
The staff were friendly and polite, and food came fast. Prices are very reasonable and the food is okay. The cafe decor is tired and needs a freshen up and little things like salt and pepper is missing from the tables.

A rip off with average service. Check out the picture of the $7.50 milkshake. Will never go back to this place and will be sure to tell others not to both.
Stopped by for a takeaway coffee after a meeting in Remuera, I don’t usually come to Remuera often so wasn’t too sure what to expect. Cant really complain about the coffee, standard pricing and I liked how piping hot the coffee actually was.

Also grabbed a Rhubarb and Raspberry Muffin, I loved how moist the muffin was. Although the flavour was a little light, overall a decent muffin.

Showstopper: Rhubarb and Raspberry Muffin was delicious.

Overall Grade: B

Excellent food, warm and friendly staff in a cosy cafe. The girl over the counter welcomes the customers with a great smile. I had the Salmon Eggs Benedict and mixed berry smoothies. I must say that this was one of the best tasting eggs Benedict that I had. I would have given them a higher rating however, both eggs was over cooked and it took at least 15 minutes before my smoothies to arrive. But I can’t deny the taste as it was good. The combination of the hash, spinach, salmon and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. The mixed berry smoothies tasted fresh and very refreshing. I am very keen to go back to try the other dishes from the menu.

A long established destination across from the Post Office in Remuera. Certainly popular but particularly attractive for cyclists. Here you can leave your valuable velocipede under your visual supervision on the spacious sidewalk without obstructing complaining pedestrians. A rare oasis to be included in your urban training route.

I have been to vicky one cafe quite a few times and every time you enter the cafe you get welcomed with a warm and friendly smile from the two girls. I love sitting at the window seats and watching cars and people passing. Today I started my day there with a nice coffee and the best muffin I have ever had, an apple pistachio cranberry muffin, so moist and fresh, a touch of sweetness, a little bit sour. Just perfect!

The girls here are so lovely...not a huge selection but we had the corn fritters..best ever!!! Charming little cafe, fantastic coffee and service the best. Well dobe girls !!

My workplace is nearby this cafe so I started to grab my coffee from here. I drink iced americano and it costs around $5-6.50 at other cafes in this area but here it is only $4.00. Plus, their coffee is damn good. I am really picky on coffee so you can trust me on it.

The staff here, especially the bubbly lady is awesome! She always greets customers with a smile that makes me smile too even if I am really really tired and don't feel like working. After only two or three visits, she already remembered my name and my coffee, even though I didn't go there every day!

I love this place and I am more than happy to check their food menu out next time ❤️

Due to the size of the outlet, the sitting is quite intimate. Service is excellent. The girl who took my order always has her smile. I ordered the big Vicky breky. Looks nice and tastes yummy too.

Excellent service from friendly helpful staff. Food was delicious. Agree that it is a little bit tight but the food and service more than makes up for it! Would definitely recommend.

I had brunch today at Vicky One with my partner and we enjoyed the experience.

The cafe looks like the little cozy cafe for locals in Remuera and the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.

Staff were very nice and friendly and smiley at all times.

The food was excellent, I really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and the chocolate milkshake was great and refreshing.

It's definitely a great spot to get a quick brunch or coffee.

Heads up, venue is very small, not a great choice for 4 people or more.

Morning! Just had my petite déjeuner at cafe@vicky one. I was planning to try the Fuze cafe, but I couldn't find it .. Can anyone tell me where it is? The GPS can't even take me there >_<

Then I found this little café at/on/in ? The corner. The button mushroom was alright, the fruit tart looked lovely but it didn't taste so good o_o..

0.5 star for the girl behind the counter ^_^

An all around average experience.

My coffee, though very reasonable priced, was bitter, and not really hot enough. Perhaps that's subjective, but I've definitely had better.

The food I thought was quite expensive, but this is Remuera I guess. The disappointment came as my sandwich, whilst quite delicious, suffered from the old bakery trick of being full on one side, and empty at the other. This can be forgiven when you pay $4 at a bakery, but I think for $9 they could do a bit better.

As for atmosphere, there was a steady stream of what I would call Remuera types, and the placed seemed appropriate to their expectations, but I would liked to see it a bit less cluttered. Again, perhaps I am not the target market, and the place seemed busy enough that this is not really an issue for them, but I will not be in any rush to head back.

Most friendly service in Auckland and the food is extremely good. Recommend the bacon bagel and the chicken and cranberry pasta salad. It also seems to have lots of regulars which always a good sign and you can park just down Vicky Ave.

High quality coffee, food prepared daily on the premises,
big smiles from the staff who all know the regulars and who likes what, delicious light meals, and the price is right...this is a great place to meet our friends. Thanks to Sunny and the team! Gets better every year.

I went there the other day and it was fantastic. Great friendly staff, great food, great coffee

I highly recommend the Spinach and Feta Scones!!

Small little local cafe, coffee and food are average, but the waitress is not friendly at all, I might come on a wrong day of the month. I will go back for food if no where else open.
