Great coffee and delicious food. My order wasn't quite per order but very good. Nice vibe and yummy prepared meals to go. Will definitely go back

Best place in Remuera for a coffee and bite. The staff make a point to get to know the regulars by name and what their drink of choice is. Have been going there virtually ever day now for a couple of years. Thanks for the great coffee & service Teresa, Ashleigh & Naomi.

Absolutely delicious food and drink here and friendly staff. I will definitely have to come back for the French toast again, one of the best I’ve had in Auckland and I’m always on the lookout. Everything was perfectly made - the French toast was thick and fluffy, the soup was warm and wholesome, the bread was perfectly crunchy. Thanks for a lovely meal 😊

Always wonderful. Fresh, tasty, filling. My go-to: Chicken Turkish, ricotta plum cheesecake and cappuccino. If you're mega hungry, to the big breakfast. It's huge Also a great deli counter with salad and take home items.

I've had a lot of disappointing pastries lately... these did NOT disappoint. Great coffee, and I especially recommend the lemon slice.

Morning tea yummy date scone and coffee. Great thing about this coffee is that it is underground coffee. This is one of the things I miss about Christchurch. If you are a discerner of coffee the I highly recommend underground.

We live in the area and visited here for the first time last week. Can not recommend these guys enough! Customer service was amazing with staff making you feel special the whole time. The food was also GREAT - most certainly will be returning and we are so thankful you are our new favourite local cafe!

Lovely staff and the Turkish chicken sandwich is awesome! The vege muffin is fab too. Won't get that sausage roll again though - sorry, but that thing is definitely NOT homemade.

Experienced the eggs benedict on potatoe hash with crispy potatoe skin. OMG This is the tastiest eggs benedict i have experienced. This place knows how to treat its customers.

Amazing selection of food. Some of the freshest I have had and served with a smile. Try the creamy chicken and avocado sandwich.

Popped in for a quick lunch and food is delicious, super lovely service from the lady working the coffee machine and food came so quickly! 10/10 would recommend 👌

Popped in yesterday for a quick lunch with my grand daughter yesterday. Such a lovely welcome. The food is fresh and tastefully displayed. Coffee is close to the entrance with a variety of milks available. The hoki fishcakes with salad were very tasty with tartare and a mustard dressing.

Excellent food and service. We shared the eggs Benedict with bacon & potato skins and then theHomemade Hazelnut cornflakes crumbled brioche. A perfect breakfast and gorgeous flavours and taste with both dishes. Highly recommended 👍👏

I am not at all happy with the service. Staff put incomplete set of cutleries and even asked before we can get the forks... she banged them onto the table...just appalled- will not go back here ever...on a very cold winter day... food was cold as well...

Checked out this place for a quick breakfast. They offer a wide range of breakfast and lunch options. Had the Eggs Benedict and raspberry and banana smoothies. The eggs were perfectly cooked however the overall taste was just ok. I am not so sure although the hollandaise was creamy but it was underseasoned. All I tasted was lime and it lacked that rich flavour. While the raspberry and banana smoothies tasted nothing of raspberry and banana :( It was like a combination of orange and yoghurt. The staff was friendly and service was fair.

I come here often for breaky or lunch with Mum. Such good value for money and the staff are super friendly. The head waitress knows everyone by name and is super genuine. I like that it’s simple food done well and you can get cabinet food too (Mum likes to see before she orders) they do take away meals which is great. Coffee is always good and consistent and it has a really good community feel. There’s noting super fussy or fancy about it which I absolutely love I just like getting exactly what I order and it’s always consistent. As a millennial I love smashed avo on toasted sourdough and this place has the best in Auckland !
Service 10/10
Food 9/10
Ambiance 7/10
Highly recommend !

This lovely place is never empty and it seems to have a loyal following of appreciative regulars. An impressive selection of things to eat. You can even select something to take home for your dinner. High standard of food safety.

Having been hanging out a lot on this street in Remuera area. The Deli is a spot for friends and family's catching up.

Homey, Cozy, full of breakfast and lunch options. You can find from regular scones, slices, pie to meat loaf, Turkish bread, beetroot salad, fish cake etc. of course there is a menu to add your hot dish desire.

Sitting by the French door outside, you will find running people pop in for takeaway coffee, new tourists coming sitting down for a relaxed coffee. or people living in the neighbourhood bringing their family for lunch treat. That's always vivid scenery for a Cafe recognised by its local people.

Next time swing by for a flat white and carrot cake. You won't be let down. Just stay open minded and try!

I have lived in Remuera for neally 9 years and over that time I have often frequented this cafe. The food has always been delicious ESP the full breakfast and any of the tasty dishes on offer in the cabinet down the back, particularly the meatloaf. The coffee is always on point and the service is always prompt, efficient and friendly. There are so many choices available in the area which are also of a good standard but everytime I come to The Deli it's always reliable on taste, service and reliability! Worth paying the extra $$ for.

The Deli is a homely local cafe that my boyfriend and I frequently go to.

The first time we went, I was very impressed by the quality of the food, the friendly and expedient service, delicious hot chocolate, environment and aromatic smells luring you in for a second visit.

I have since been with friends and family who visit from Melbourne and they loved it too.
Simple. Homely. Friendly. Efficient. We keep going back, it is just what you need for a weekend brunch location.

Great food at a reasonable price. Never too busy to get a table and staff are always friendly. Definately my go-to place for brunch on the weekends.

Went to play against one of the local rugby teams here during the regular season last year. But before going to the game, thought I might stop here to get something to drink since it was still morning. What better to start with some Hot Chocolate.

It wasn't as busy in the morning considering that it was a Saturday, but the service was just the ordinary greeting and what I wanted.

It's a large entrance, rather than those ordinary small doors where you have to either push or pull to get in. Just seems like those really busy cafes you see in the city, but there was hardly anyone since it was still early on the Saturday morning.

Last time I dined at this establishment was it first opened. Wanted to try it again as my impression from those days was great. Where to start?

As I don't really want breakfast, decided to order moccachino, fish cake with kale, poached egg and tartare sauce.

Service. All the servers are friendly, polite, attentive. Quick to respond. The only minor deduction of point would be the coffee came well after the food arrived. 4.5/5

Food and drinks. Very disappointing. The fish cake. All I can taste is potato. Can't taste the fish at all. Maybe they cut the fish into very fine pieces. I don't know. Moccachino tastes more like cappuccino.
The Deli is our "go to" in Remuera for breakfast and a coffee and cake in the arvo. Prices are good and food is great. Creamy mushrooms are divine & the chicken loaf is great. They also have frozen and fresh take home meals. Service is always with a smile and is really efficient.

Set in a great location, The Deli offers a very welcoming environment. My partner ordered mushrooms on toast w/ avo which was full of flavour and was a great portion size. I had the eggs benny with bacon which I was unfortunately disappointed with. The hollandaise sauce was interesting with a touch of lime and mustard seeds which tasted great. However it was sparingly added and I had to savour the little amount given to last the whole meal. Additionally the eggs were overlooked, lacking a runny core. Overall the customer service was great and the staff were very friendly, not my go to for eggs benny though.

Worst place I've been to in a long time. It's pricey with no service to speak of. Waited over 45 minutes for some takeaways. There's plenty of great places to have brunch in Auckland, this is not one of them.

On even given this place a second try ( after walking out the first time unseated ) it proved to have the worst customer service we have experienced in years.

we cant comment on the food but it must be good if your prepared to put up with the appalling attitude of the staff.

Awesome little cafe.
We had Just Happy Eggs and Hot smoked salmon and corn fritter stack.
Happy place and very tasty meals at reasonable prices.

I work above this great little cafe and the owner Annie and her staff are wonderful to deal with. Great little place with a good cabinet of food and deli items also. I love the soup of the day with lightly toasted ciabatta and the fries with mayonnaise and hot chill sauce are heart stoppingly good. Sorry Annie but I love my allpress coffee so I still pop down the road to Browns for that - Forgive me! Has lovely tables to sit down outside in the sun.

I live in Melbourne and haven't actually eaten at The Deli but instead have arranged for a substantial amount of pre-prepared meals and desserts to be sent to my very sick brother-in-law as my sister was away. Annie, the owner was more than accommodating and after quickly getting a handle on the food required, offered to drop it off to him on her way to an international flight - that day. He was very grateful and loved the food so when I am visiting in March will drop in for a meal and a personal thank you for service that could only come from New Zealand!

I have been an avid customer of the deli since I moved to remuera (about 6 years ago). An ideal spot for a quick, healthy brunch. I've never been dissapointed with this eatery, whether it's hearty minestrone, fresh fruit salad or a delicious eggs benedict, The Deli always executes their dishes superbly. Although it's a bit pricey, the friendly service and fresh food is worth it! Fantastic coffee and an array of sandwiches and pastries will entice anyone to enjoy this rustic atmosphere.
