Review 4&20 Bakery - Remuera

Dora Green
This popular bakery has a great variety of breads and pastries. Unfortunately it is Remuera pricing so be prepared. $35.40 for the selection in the photo. A spinach quiche, a pear Danish and two medium hot drinks (one half drunk 😉).

I stopped by to grab some breakfast pastries since I was in the area. It is located across the road from New World, just off Remuera Road. I need up looking at their cold cuts section and also got some of the chorizo. I also ended up getting one of their sourdough loaves. The pastries were all quite nice. the pan au chocolate was quite bready though but still crunchy on the outside. The cinnamon roll was also nice. The bread had a nice texture since it was a little chewy. It was a nice bakery to stop by for both bread and pastries.

Remuera's best bakery. Great bread. Rye bread on Saturday. They'll slice for you. Expect lots of choices here.

Friendly staff and great quality and mostly organic sourdough selection.

Fantastic Place. Their pastries are delicious and I can totally recommend their takeaway picnics! Just brilliant and last for ages. I will always get a picnic from them but its not cheap at $110 however totally worth it. The person at the till was really knowledgeable about it and even asked the sorts of things I like and had recommendations which I really appreciated. More to the point she was right and we had a fantastic day.

One of the better cafe's I've been to. Their Almond croissant is just divine.

Really nice bakery. Get in early as they tend to sell out. A bit expensive but I guess you'd expect that in Remuera.

I mean they are expensive, but the location is prime. And the pastry wont disappoint you. Havana coffee is good too. And they have excellent stuff for take away such as amazing goat cheese. I love the vibe there and friendly staff. It is tiny cute little shop.

My favourite local baker. For taste and quality, this place deserves it's five star rating. Some of the must haves are the chicken salad & ham n cheese sandwiches. Special mentions are the custard filled doughnuts, oil brushed garlic bread and the quiche Lorraine. Yes, it is a bit pricey but the quality is outstanding. The girls behind the counter are always very helpful and polite too.

We had the most delicious Xmas Eve shopping here that you could imagine. The staff are thoroughly helpful and the coffee is superb. The threat of drizzling rain made our stay even more enjoyable.
