Review The Indian Cafe Richmond - Richmond

Absolutely worth making your local curry stop and having a rant about. The Indian Cafe Richmond is fantastic. With great tasting food, consistent standards and friendly staff, it doesn't matter if you are dining in or smashing straight from the container, it's always going to be a treat.

Good food. Large portions. We ordered the vegetarian platter - comes as 3 courses with fritters/samosas, main course with 3 curries and kulfi/ice cream dessert.

Great lunch menu where you get to try four curries for less than 12 NZD. Korma (korma was slightly sweet.and had that fresh taste to it) and butter chicken (more tomato-y taste) are incredible. I found cheese and garlic naan to be nice as well (not too cheese with a nice balance between garlic and cheese where neither overpowers the taste). The restaurant looks very modern and is definitely worth a stop.

Delicious food whether eating in or having takeaways. Ive recently moved to Richmond and have been delighted with the quality of the food from this restaurant. Will continue to support for the future.

Still blown away by how good this Indian is!! Iā€™m not normally rocked by mango chicken but this one is insane šŸ˜ All the curries have so much depth of flavour and the spice/heat level is done SO well. So affordable too! Great service and friendly accommodating team. Already looking forward to my next trip back so I can go again šŸ˜Š

Delicious meal & service. Background music could be better, the radio with Ads is not good.

We love the Indian cafe in Nelson, it's never been beaten in all our NZ travels. The Richmond branch is closer so we tried it again and liked it a lot. Food is excellent, atmosphere judged against the Nelson branch is not as good but was still good. We eat in as dishes are only $1 more to sit in than to takeaway..but no washing up or cleaning up to do! Would recommend the food anyday.

Always exceptional service and friendly staff. Had a birthday and they made the extra effort with a song. Love the place!

Vegetarian food was really good, great flavour. The cheese cake was average but the traditional Indian deserts I have had before and they are good, atmosphere is reasonable for Richmond
