Review Armadillo's - Richmond

Absolutely brilliant venue for a working dinner meeting. Food was awesome, the seafood worshop brilliant perfect serving. Our waitress was just gorgeous. A fantastic evening. Thanks team

Booked for 5 pax at 6pm, and just as well I did. Was quite busy, with some other tables with 5 or 6 guests so I suspect the kitchen and bar got a little slammed. Regardless, we got our drinks and food without too much wait. Everyone at the table vacummed up the food. Ribs, Fish & Chips and Lamb Hotpot all great. A second order of 2 pints of beer got delayed, but we were not that bothered. Friendly staff, with a smile. Could have been a little warmer for my elderly mother, but my guests from Auckland said they would be back. Nothing but rib bones left. :-)

Love the venue, the staff are so friendly and professional in their approach to the customers. Nothing is a problem to them, I would recommend thus restaurant to anyone

Great place to go for family outings or for an after-work get together. Great specials all week, especially their $20 chicken schnitzel on a Thursday night, it's my nana's go to. There is wheelchair access however you have to park in the gravel carpark quite far away from where the front door is.

Well presented restaurant and very nice meals plus the cheap $20 lunch specials between certain hours makes this place a must stop lunch-out or dinner dine. Usually, it has a great atmosphere here and enough space for a decent sized venue. Consistently awesome staff 👍. Also, the best mushroom sauce for steak is still present. Give it a try, you'll be surprised!

The food was very nice..had the sirloin reef and beef and my wife had the pasta ...it did take 40min to get our food as there was a good crowd in and only really two waitresses on and two on the bar ..but all in all a great feed and atmosphere

Food was really average. Service was really unwelcoming. Waited a long time for someone to clear our table so we can order desert but waitress kept walking pass us and cleaned all the tables around us with no customers except ours. Even when arm were raised for service, I noticed waitress looked and turned away. Will not be coming back

Absolutely disgusting food and will never go there again. Pasta tasted like sh** and how can you mess up zucchini fritters? Also no drink menu anywhere. Terrible experience

Just had what can only be described as the best meal in a long time at this restaurant. The 15 lunch meal was excellent and well cooked. and we ordered off the main menu as well which was also well cooked and very tasty. Portion size was huge. Service was great and staff friendly. We will most certainly be back.

Had My 70th Birthday on a Tuesday recently couldnt find a satisfactory Venue, approached Armadillos Richmond , they are usually closed on a Tuesday but opened their Restaurant for the occasion. Let my wife put Streamers Etc up which made the atmosphere awesome. Food : Was absolutely Brilliant cooked to everyone's satisfaction and food was well presented Thank you. Kids hamburgers & chips were very nicely presented & huge , Sweets well all of us sweet tooth people were impressed .. Staff:  Chef, Kitchen Hands Thank you Bar Person come Waitress Thank you you did a awesome job of both and for 35 people we were grateful, the staff were obliging Friendly  & a good SOH as well. The last Thanks goes to Kash who made my 70th Birthday a very memorable one, Thank you Kash & Armadillos Richmond ..Will Be Back

This place served me the worst burger I have ever tasted    I will never return   beef  burger on the menu    The finished result tasted like crap   Fries  and  chilli bread  excellent

We arrived just after 8.30 pm thinking about catching up over a cuppa coffee. Unfortunately, we were notified that they had cleaned the coffee machine so no more coffee for the night...like seriously before 9pm?? Hell of a restaurant who advertises online that they close at 10.30pm? I find that really absurd to say the least. And when we asked for drink menu, they directed us to the tables...wow....what a great service...they don't even have drink menu at bar counter when that's where people order drinks...bullshittttttttttt....we went to one of the tables just to realise that there's nothing on it and requested for drink menu AGAIN!!! The waitress gave us this look like we're not supposed to be there at that time of the night and walked away. We left the shitty restaurant after more than 5 min when no one showed up with drink menu. Just an advice, if you don't feel like serving customers after 8pm, please shut your restaurant earlier and not give false advertisement online. Thanks but I feel sorry that you've hired front of house staff with really poor working attitude and worst customer service ever. Also, I'm not sure if the manager/supervisor was the one who presented me with despicable attitude like we were not supposed to show up there at that time. Overall, I don't think this place deserves even 1.0 for the rating!!

Dined at the Motueka Armadillo's Sunday 31 May. Excellent steak meal, beautifully cooked. The atmosphere was warm friendly and inviting. We waited approximately 15 minutes for our meal which was perfect. We have now dined there four times and each time has been great. Keep it up. Great for Motueka. We will be back!

Attended Armadillos Motueka 17th May booked table for 6 pm when we arrived we were taken to our table and after waiting for over 20 minutes we had to ask for a waitress to take our order.<br/>Meal didnt arrive at our table until after we had been in the restaurant for over 1 hour<br/>We all had ordered a steak meal 3 mediun rare and 1 well done the Two of the med rare were very tough and chewy and 1 of the med rare was still raw in the centre and couldnt be eaten in fact when the waitress took our plates away we told her to watch it as it might jump pf the plate and on paying our bill the guy asked how was our steak I told him very tough and one was still raw when it was returned to the waitress and his answer well at least we tried A real dissapointment and as this was our first visit to your Motueka restaurant it will be the last time we attend and we will certainly advise all our Motueka friends to think very carefully before going to your restaurant A very real dissapointment and a very poor presentation and if the waitresses smiled a little instead of walking round the restaurant with a long face and dirty tea towell stuck in her belt it would have given a better feeling to the place <br/>The worst restaurant we have attended to in our 4 years living in Motueka and certainly the last for us and our friends

we had the sunday roast smorgasbord for $15. It was a great price and great service and the smorgasbord meal made the portions great too, however i felt there was not a lot of variety

Well what a difference, great menu great staff. We had the express lunch which was $15 per person, the meals were very good portions and very tasty<br/><br/>Highly recommended
