Review Thai Corner Restaurant - Rothesay Bay

After visiting Thailand, it was a big struggle to find that authentic flavour again until I met The Corner. In my taste bud’s opinion, it is the closest you will get to the real deal in the North Shore. Full of flavour, clean and beautiful presentation. On the pricier end for takeaway but trust me you get a whole restaurant’s worth of tastiness! A little warm inside though 😊

The food here is absolutely amazing. A true gem in Browns Bay. If you like Thai food, you will love this place.

Our recent visit to the Corner Thai was a culinary delight. The food surpassed our expectations, boasting rich and delightful flavours. The staff are very friendly, contributing to the overall pleasant atmosphere, and the service was commendably prompt. We opted for the Massaman Beef Curry, a savoury dish featuring tender beef immersed in a flavorful curry, and the Tom Yum, a well-balanced blend of tangy and spicy notes. Without hesitation, we recommend this place to anyone in search of a satisfying dining experience. It's a solid choice for those who appreciate good food, friendly service, and a laid-back ambiance.

The ingredients used in the dishes were of good quality, resulting in a flavorful taste. However, the portion sizes were not sufficient. The restaurant had a cozy and intimate atmosphere due to its small size. The staff members were okay and provided good service.

Lovely Thai takeaway shop in Browns Bay that serves all the popular options. The kitchen area is clean-kept and the ingredients are very fresh. It’s also affordable and portions are decent. I would say that it is slightly lighter on the palate compared to most other Thai takeaways (i.e. less salty, oily and sweet), which brings out the flavours of their raw ingredients. We were very impressed by the quality of the dishes and will surely be back again soon!

Tried this new Thai in browns bay. Our new favourite now over the others! Bigger portions, more flavour, more authentic. Got it on Friday and now again on Sunday night. Green curry and oyster stir fry was a stand out, so fresh and tasty. Will definitely be getting regular for some good Thai!

Absolutely amazing authentic Thai food, We had the Nam Tok and ginger noodles, curry puffs and fish cakes. All was super fresh and full of flavour, the curry puffs were light and and buttery. All of it was deeeeeeelicious. And they let us bring our own containers. Prices are also so good!

We had the beautiful Pad Thai and Nam Tok Beef. Flavour and portion size was amazing for the price, we really loved it. One thing that made not score 5 stars is that we had mainly fat bits of beef instead of meat in the Nam Tok salad. I would happily pay a few more dollars to get more meat - that doesn’t remove anything to the beautiful flavour though ! Recommended overall 🙏😊

So glad my daughter felt like noodles and we tried this place. We'll definitely keep coming back. First of all it was so clean and tidy. We got two different noodle dishes and both were jam packed with fresh ingredients. Great portions too! Both were so delicious. You can tell it's all very fresh and from scratch.
