Only went in for a coffee as wed unfortunately already had breakfast. Really busy but managed to get a table. Coffee as usual was on point, ordered a mocha and soy latte. love the consistency over the last 18 years.
Tasty filling portions, a friendly chilled atmosphere, $4 for a flat white + the best playlist of any cafe in NZ make this the prime place for a coffee break in Rotorua. The mound of wedges, with cheese, bacon, salsa and sour cream for $11.50 is perfect for a winter day.
Lovely wee cafe on the main strip and quite busy for 7am. Full of locals coming to pick up their coffee.

Lovely ambience, great staff and customer service. I highly recommend their BLAT! It's just amazing i couldn't fault it. Coffee is absolutely great as well. If you're visiting rotorua and looking for a place that's affordable yet offers great food go to zippy's. Every dollar is worth it!
Bit of an institution here in Rotorua. Staff are friendly and professional. The food is standard cafe fare and very enjoyable. There is a long list of bagel combos available although I have never selected those.

Just finished breakfast at Zippy. I would have taken photos of my Eggs Bene but it looked so good I didn't want to waste the time to take a picture before filling my face. It was excellent, eggs were perfect, bagel perfect, hollandaise perfect, coffee perfect. I'm coming back tomorrow...
Very friendly service, great food and perfectly made coffee. I went for the "lil zip" brekkie and the portion was definitely not little!!! I had no intention of finding out what Big Zip would look like.
Great friendly staff and the pricing of their menu seems more reasonable than its neighbour cafe!
We've all blown away by the gourmet cafe main menu. We ordered a total of 3 mains (please check out my photos), decent proportion and a very strong homie kitchen delicious flavours.

Superb coffee and service. Eggs bene cooked to perfection, prices are very competitive, atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Ordering at the counter from a board rather than a menu seems a trend in rotorua that non locals must adjust to!

Steak was cooked to perfection whilst my partner enjoyed the eggs benedict. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will return in the near future.

Great place great service. Meals arrived quickly and were cooked to perfection. Poached eggs were perfect! Definitely a place we will return next time we are in town.
On a side note the booths are quite narrow to get into so recommend anyone with mobility difficulties to use the chairs and tables instead.
The best coffee in town, surrounded by a creative and inspiring environment. ZACK is the barista you want in your life, he makes amazing coffees and always has the sweetest smile and attitude. Definitely recommend!
Thank you for the hot coffee on a cold sunday afternoon while waiting for my connection Bus to Hamilton. Coffee was presented with some m&m's and a marshmallow. By what I could see also was the friendly vibe from cafe staff & customers. Very walm welcome. Thanks guys.
Loved this cafe. Breakfast (mine granola with yogurt, fruit & compote, my husband eggs & bacon) was so good we came back for supper vege salad/beef tachos /- both delicious. Coffee excellent too.
Delicious food, great options on the menu, lovely staff. Highly recommend for families, great kids options. Our fussy little eaters loved their bagel and porridge. 5 stars for sure !!
Have been warmly welcomed here all week long. The food has been brilliant - the chicken wraps for lunch were delicious, the coffee was delicious and well done.
But the staff were phenomenal, warm, engaging and enthusiastic and generously genuine each time I visited. What struck me is that when I ordered my coffee to go, they’d walk around from behind the counter and to me, to hand me my coffee - most cafes just put it on the counter and make you come to them. These guys are always looking at how they can come to you, even though it’s small - it made an impression and I’d definitely recommend them.

Love this place. Its cozy, people are friendly and the food was healthy. Loved how everything was presented including tje little flower in my salad. Great views while you have lunch and amazing menu when you're hungry or just want a light snack on the Opp.
