Review Robert Harris Cafe - Rotorua

A sight for sore eyes for the weary tourist, like us! A welcoming vibe, warm decor, spacious. Coffee was excellent. As a traveling coeliac though, not much food on offer for me, but that's another story. Light baked snacks (muffins, scones, brownies etc) looked wonderful and were reasonably priced.

The coffee and food here is excellent and the staff are very polite, helpful and friendly. Plenty of options for a small snack or a nice breakfast or lunch.

Nice coffee and breakfast. Best that opens 7:30.

As usual for us late to find a lunch stop. Very helpful and friendly staff. The cabinet was a bit light on food but it was after 1 p.m. We ordered toasted sandwiches which were excellent with plenty of good quality filling. Thanks guys!!

Great cafe. Clean and spacious. Really friendly staff/owners. Food and coffee were great. Totally recommend the hot pork sandwich. It was amazing. Fresh and just what I needed!

I ordered the salmon eggs benny which came out perfect, lots of hollandaise and I ordered a soy mocha which was delicious too, only 4 stars and not 5 because my partners French toast bananas only came out half cooked. I would come back again.

Thought we'd 'mix it up' today and sample a RH breakfast. Ordered food from the breakfast menu, tasty and well presented and ample for the price, and great coffee too. Many thanks.

Lovely staff and atmosphere. Not much vegetarian and nothing vegan other than a smoothie. Chips are fried in palm oil so not vegan friendly either.

Visiting from Hawaii ... excellent service and excellent coffee. They do it right on both fronts. A suggestion. Put your operating hours on your website. We want to try your breakfast, but not sure what time you open, which means we're not sure it'll fit into our day's schedule. kia ora ... & aloha

A New Zealand establishment cafe. Robert Harris greets its customers with trays and plates on which to place an array of kiwi bakery delicacies. Lamingtons with fresh cream, eccles cakes, donuts and pies galore to satisfy mid morning hunger pangs. All washed down after ordering lattes, espressos and flat whites at the check out. The rustic interior is full of the sound of good kiwi conversations and easy humour. Tourists are hard to find here in this kiwi establishment despite Rotorua being one of the major tourist towns in New Zealand.

Delicious food, friendly service, plenty of space to choose a seat. One star missing due to lack of wheelchair accessible toilet, there is a public one very close though.

Bought a Grab One voucher, $25 for two breakfast meals and two hot drinks - a great deal! The eggs benny was amazing. A generous serving of hollandaise and it is rich and creamy! So delicious. It was double layered muffins with bacon between - bacon lovers rejoice!! The egg was perfect and yolky but still runny. A good experience. Would have been 5 stars if the counter staff smiled more. :-)

Had breakfast here 12/09/2015
Me and my partner had the small eggs benny and coffee deal for 10 dollars. My eggs benny was tasty and long black was good. Staff was really friendly. We really enjoyed our time here.

We visited Robert Harris casually on our stopover last weekend and the experience was good. We loved coffee and breakfast. The food was great and fresh. Staff were friendly and hardworking. Come on people you can not rate just 1 star to any business for what you spend by money and time. There is good franchise set up with lots of effort made to bring it out coffee to you. Keep it up people.

Typical of this franchise. Crap coffee. Overworked but friendly staff. Food was okay but, not a star cafe by any means

What can I say, long weekend and no food available at lunch time. Staff were uninterested in helping or providing food for the long queue of people coming into the cafe at lunch time (Queens Birthday) will not be going back.
When food was ordered we were told after 20min that they had run out and we had to ask for a refund.
