Nice food, the prawns are well-cooked. Excellent view, this is no doubt đź‘Ť

Although the cafe was close the day we visited, we really loved the amazing scene & the feeling is magic. Walking in the water so good. Had a hardcase photo bombing bee, which we called buZz.

Locally owned cafe with stunning views of Lake Tarawera. We visit often for brunch. The menu is good, both breakfast and lunch options available as well as a selection of smoothies, coffee/tea, beer and wine. Food is usually delicious but can be a bit hit and miss sometimes when it's busier. Service is friendly and welcoming, they're occassionally short staffed; particularly in the weekends when it's busy so there can be a bit of a wait, however you can soak up the views over a beer, coffee or ice cream or even dip your feet in the lake while you wait! Food portions are generous for the price and there's options for everyone. Parking is not always available as this is a popular swimming area and boat launch. The lake has recently had a reno with seating and a boardwalk. You can also hike the nearby track or after brunch take the water taxi across the lake to hot water beach.

Nice little café with great views. Limited options available for breakfast and lunch. Good portion sizes. The barista lacks customer service. We loved their hash browns. Belgium waffles with golden syrup, eggs Benedict with mushrooms and big breakfast

The Landing Tarawera is an absolute gem of a restaurant and café situated on the picturesque Lake Tarawera in New Zealand. The views from the establishment are absolutely stunning, with the lake and surrounding native forests providing a breathtaking backdrop for your dining experience. The boat ramp for access and water taxi service means you can arrive by boat and make a day of it, with angler access for trout fishing and a swimming area for families making it the perfect spot for a fun-filled day out. The toilet facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the location is surrounded by native forests and abundant in nature, with scenic views of Mount Tarawera and flowing springs making it an ideal spot for a picnic or a leisurely stroll. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. If you're in Rotorua, Tha Landing Tarawera is a must-visit. The scenery is simply breathtaking and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a family day out, or a spot of fishing, Tha Landing Tarawera has it all. This is a truly special place and it's easy to see why it's so popular with locals and visitors alike. Don't miss out on this little slice of paradise.

I was told to go here by one of the locals and was so glad I did! The restaurant is almost on the water with plenty of seating outside to watch the beautiful scenery. The ambience is relaxing and earthy, with a lovely set up of wooden tables and chairs and steel art. The service was friendly and helpful. I ordered the thai chicken curry which was really delicious. The dumplings were probably my favorite dumplings, the pastry was really thin which is so hard to find! My sister ordered the fish and chips and she said the fish was cooked to perfection and the fish was really fresh. One thing to note, the size of the meals are really generous so it might pay to either share of few of the starters or just head straight to the mains. Both the menu and drinks list is not too big where it's hard to choose. The food menu has a chicken, fish, beef and vegetarian option. Theres plenty of parking but the parking isn't exclusive to the restaurant so i imagine it can get quiet full on a busy summer's day. Also, the toilets inside the cafe were out of order when we were there, they do have a sign referring customers to the outside toilets. Definitely recommend going here when you're in Rotorua or by lake Tarawera for a good feed with great views!

The place is just stunning. We arrived late, almost 3pm so the cafe was quite. There was only one another table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I cannot remember the name of the dish but I remember it was prawn skewers. I was a little bit disappointed as it wasn’t whole prawns but more like a prawn kebab. Maybe I should read better, I don’t remember if it was written on the menu. It was actually quite good. However, my friend didn’t really enjoy his dish. I will definitely be back though and try other things.

Food was pretty darn good. I removed one star because when I asked about why the shake wasn't thick but watery and the cashier laughed and said it was stirred. I felt it was rude other than that the food and atmosphere was very nice.

Such a lovely little place, with great views of Lake Tarawera and Mount Tarawera, glad we stopped here. The children can have a swim while the adults relax, if you sit out on the deck you can see exactly what the children are doing. If you have no children then just sit back relax and enjoy the view
