Had both Korean BBQ and Chinese hotpot buffet for lunch today. Heaps of meat and veg options. So tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful.

An eating experience with awesome staff and worth the $$! Definitely recommend Family House Restaurant. You can have Korean bbq or hot pot..or just go all out and do both! Great range of food (even includes prawns) and once finished you can get another helping of what you want off the buffet menu with unlimited barley tea. It was my partners first time experiencing this way of eating and he had an absolute blast. Definitely recommend cooking the pork belly on the bbq and wrapping in lettuce, delicious and refreshing!

Worth a visit for the experience but nothing that spectacular. The DIY shared hotpot was fun to do and definitely worth trying. It was actually good that they had quite a variety frozen veggies, meat, fish, and other seafood. The only thing is that it seemed like they were kept frozen for ages, and for me it looked bad. Although when everything was put into the soup it still tasted great. Overall it was still a pleasant experience.

Such a beautiful restaurant, very friendly and welcoming and the food was to die for. Hotpot and bbq pork belly, beef, lamb, prawns, all you can eat. We will be back with our staff. Thank you so much. Oh and the Peach soju, yummy.

Amazingly kind and welcoming staff, we had a group of 4 with a big appetite so chose hotpot and kbbq option. Food was fresh and side dishes were tasty! Been to a lot of kbbq restaurants, this is up there with one of the best! Highly recommend

Unassuming from the street but this place is a treasure. We did both the Korean bbq and hot pot and loved every bite. Would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a delicious hot meal.

First time trying the korean bbq , for new customer go for pork and beef slice with kimchi was awesome , Also available nepalses dumpling which i did takways , will back soon with friends

Nice restaurant with hot pot and yummy Nepaliese momos. I like the tomato spicy chutney and chicken noodles.

Got the hot pot and BBQ combo and would definitely recommend them both. The place is clean and all the food was fresh and delicious. The staff and owner were very kind and added to the experience!

Wonderful Korean BBQ. Perfect way to end a day of hiking. Food was excellent, very fresh, flavorful and tender meat. Owner was spectacular and attentive.

Really relaxed atmosphere. What to do isn't exactly clear but easy enough if you ask/know how the system works. Staff super friendly. Building could use a little maintenance but overall, not bad. The meats tasted amazing and was overall a good experience.

First time experience with chinese hotpot and korean grill ... was delicious will come again !!! Love the sauce which have lots of variety !!!

Not to my tastes sorry. I wouldn’t return as I didn’t like the selections . The staff where eating there so must be fresh but my main concern was the lack of tongs supplied so people were using the same ones for fresh, frozen, raw, veggies etc etc. to much cross contamination but could be due to customers not venue.

Delicious. Korean BBQ style. Easy to cook, easy to get around. Friendly server and free ice cream and barley tea. All you can eat. I was not convinced from the outside but was happy I took the time to walk in and eat.

What a nice place help yourself all you can food. Steamboat and bbq. Lots of choices for meats and vegetables and making your own spicy or not soup.

Awesome experience. You can choose either to have hotpot or Korean bbq. You can make your own dipping sauce to eat with the food you've cooked.

Hubby and I love these kind of places. Lots of different variety and the food is really fresh. Staff are lovely and quick to clear your table when they see empty plates. Will definitely be back again 😁

Good food and very friendly staff! The atmosphere is good and very spacious. Both BBQ and hotpot is available for 29 bucks for dinner. I would definitely come again!

If you looking for a place where can have Chinese hotpot and Korean bbq at the same time, this is it. I've been here for three times, good place to gather with friends.

We four people families ate dinner there and enjoy Hot Pot and BBQ both. Our 9 years old son was only charged half price. Food is fresh and a lot choices: meat, seafood, vege, frozen food and ready-to-eat food!

hot pot and bbq are brilliant! We lots of people all enjoy hot pot and bbq. A variety of choices on vege, meat, seafood, side dishes and sauces. spacious restaurant, friendly staff, nice music. lunch only $25! manager even provide their new products fried chicken nibble and chips to try for free. good service, and food is yummy.

by far the best korean bbq buffet I have been to in rotorua vegetables were very fresh a great selection of meat and sea food will be going back for sure

Good food, reasonable price, fresh ingredients--- what's not to like. We make our own kimchi, and I could immediately tell that their kimchi is more of a fresh kimchi salad (meaning that the veggies need more time to ferment til it becomes kimchi)), but their radish kimchi is proper kimchi (had enough fermentation time). Ordered their Ginseng Chicken soup---fragrant and flavorful, perfect for a cold winter night---a hit with my 10 and 7 year old. We enjoyed their pork and squid bibimbap, prepared fresh and cooked on the table as a bbq meal, flavors are quite authentic....  Also ordered some mackerel fish, a good flavor and texture contrast to the bibimbap as it was smoky-salty, and had crunchy skin while flesh was firm. Very happy with our meal there. If we lived in Rotorua, I wouldn't hesitate to come back (and we did get to chatting with a couple behind us, who were regulars in the restaurant, saying they enjoyed the flavors so kept coming back). We left with full tummies and big smiles and we complimented them on the food--- the person we spoke to told us that their specialty was their barbeque buffet and that it was even better than the food we had had.... I wished we lived nearer so I could try it....hopefully next time....

This restaurant serves Korean food. We ordered Bibimbap and beef soup at reasonable price but plain taste. It seems like that they work with travel agencies so there were large crowds of tourists when we had lunch there.
