Review Seoul Korean Restaurant - Rotorua

Liked the early opening on Sunday for lunch. We got there a bit before 11:30 and greeted by the owner. Fast and efficient service, we ordered bbq and the meat came in less than 10min, along with the chicken. The meat was superb, marinated and tender. Korean dumplings were amazing too. There is a little Korean shop on the side covering the basics. Certainly a great place to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine!

Food was yummy in general, gets quite busy for dinner. It's a bit pricey for the amount of ingredients in the dishes though.

Very delicious and authentic Korean food served. Not to forget also the super friendly restaurant's owner. We had a great time. Thank you so much.

Amazing place! People were really friendly and the Korean BBQ was so yum! Be prepared to roll out the door after.

We feel like home when eating here as the hospitality shown both the owner and her staff is so awesome! The amazing dinner Korean BBQ special is on reasonable price ($27 per person, $15 for 5-10YO, under 4 is free). For visitors coming to Rotorua, do include this restaurant as 1 of places to find food. No regrets

Yep. One of the Korean restaurants there and side dishes were so good and the main dish was also satisfied.

VERY HAPPY with both the service and the food. I brought my family here last week while on holiday and am glad to say we all very much enjoyed our meals. The staff greeted us kindly and were patient and friendly throughout our dinner. The BBQ was delicious and so were the side dishes. Overall GREAT EXPERIENCE and I would definitely recommend it if you’re travelling through Rotorua 9/10

Amazing service and delicious food! We were greeted warmly and waited on quickly and expertly. The food was so good! A refreshing apple salad, really tasty kimchi, and my wife loved the beef! Thank you so much for the best Korean BBQ experience!

My friend and I came here for our last night in Rotorua before returning to Aus... wish we'd found it sooner! The owners were so helpful showing us what to do, despite being very busy, stopping to check on us and have a laugh as they moved around the restaurant. The meats were fresh and delicious, and the sides were incredible. They serve the best kimchi I've ever eaten, and the pork belly was delicious combined with their homemade apple slaw. The sides are unlimited so you are able to keep topping up during your meal. If I'm ever back in Rotorua, I'll make this one of my first stops.

The BBQ experience is very authentic with good side dishes. Having lived in Korea in like the touches I expect. A side dish self selection is generous and reduces waste where non Koreans don’t like the taste. The side dishes are made by the owners and taste fresh. Better than in Korea perhaps

Had lunch here last weekend. Nice spot , little chilly inside as we were by the door . But the staff were really friendly and attentive. there are heaps of options to choose from though i do think lunch could have been more reasonably priced. the food was nice , spicy and warm but i have had a little better. i did like all the sides too !!

The prices are too high compared with Auckland. We were looking for Korean style fried rice cake in Rotorua, then came to this place. A bibimbap cost 20 dollars and it is not worth it! The food tasty was just average, they served dishes Very Slow. Ordered another squid and rice cake, hard to find those tiny squid but it cost $25! The squid taste a little bit sucks.

Food: 2/5
Service: 5/5
Ambience: 3/5
The food was quite average, and was much too expensive for the amount given.
However the service was very very good, we were one of the last groups in for lunch that day and they gave us multiple refills of side dishes, rice, as well as 2 Korean pancakes all on the house!

Been craving for korean food after travelling for days. I had pork bulgogi with rice and side dishes as the complimentaries. The food was pretty good actually. They had adujsted the level of spiciness. I asked the food to be prepared very spicy but it wasnt spicy at all. Anyway, I still enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and nice. After all, it was a good meal!

Actually it is good. Typical Korean food. A little bit spicy. Maybe it is more suitable for Asian people. However I ask for fried chicken, they don't have. Hope there are more fried foods in future.

Had this for lunch yesterday, the lady was by herself- serving, cooking and doing everything. I was thoroughly impressed with the timeliness of the dishes. I had the Kimchi Jigae and my partner had the pork bim Bim bap. They came out promptly and the quality was pretty good too. It is more pricey than the CBD but that’s understandable since it’s all the way in Rotorua.

WORSE RESTAURANT EVER!!!!!!!!!
The dishes are too bad, not enough seasoning.
The waitress doesn’t understand English, not even familiar with the names of dishes in English.
It serves all dishes very slow.
I will never come to this restaurant and never recommend to anyone.
Definitely -5/10!!!!!

Ps: never try bibimbap and fish roe soup ( hard to swallow)

WORSE EXPERIENCE IN ROTORUA!!!

This is the only restaurant open in Anzac Day, so we have decided to give this restaurant a go. However, this has disappointed us a lot. The portion of the dishes are too little and not enough seasoning. Also, the waitress are hard to communicate. I will not recommend to anyone who want to spend their holiday in Rotorua.

Didn't know where to dine at during our weekend visit in Rotorua and we ended up here. They weren't very busy on a Saturday night.

I ordered the standard bibimbap and it was served different to how I've normally seen it. Was ok... wasn't delicious or bad. But definitely not like... appetising? 😕

There was only one waitress who was also the cashier. Wasn't busy that night but it seemed like she couldn't get customers orders right. She gave me another customers meal and had to take it back. Feel like they needed someone else there to help out. The people in the kitchen couldn't speak English well and didn't seem to know the prices so customers couldn't pay for their meals until the waitress was free from serving other customers their meals. She seemed quite forgetful - either that or she just had a million things to do and couldn't handle it.

Either way, I don't think I'll go back again ☹️ food wasn't bad. But it wasn't great either.

The food is alright. A bit pricey compared to Auckland. We ordered a pork bulgogi and beef stew. Taste is average. The toilet is a bit scary, suggest not to go. But overall, not too bad in Rotorua.

Compared to Auckland, this place is not bad. The flavor of the BBQ beef and BBQ chicken were alright but they didn't have that signature sizzle from the hot plates. The sides were refreshing though and portions were generous.

Great food and fantastic service. It will be a very memorable dining experience for me. The bibimbap I had was tasty and everything was well portioned.

I went to the Seoul Korean restaurant for dinner. The food was tasty, there was less/no oil in the food. It was great! First time eating a non oily Korean dish. The staff were friendly.
