Highly recommended if you love crippy chickens. Great value and nice service. Honey buns are delicious and good for children. My little son loves them very much.

I'm not a fan of fast food chains, can't stand KFC. But I'm in NZ and traveling with a friend who's into trying fast food... Legit pleasantly surprised! Food was HOT and TASTY! Came out quickly and fresh, serving portions were massive and staff were friendly. Honestly I'm amazed at the size of the chicken pieces. No greasy dribble of icky yuck, just tender juicy chicken with a seriously crunchy skin.

Went the first day it's open - expected a delay because of that. I don't know why people are complaining about wait times when they went literally the first week that this store opens like it is not obvious that half of Rotorua will come to get Texas Chicken. My food was good, chicken was freshly cooked, and chips up to its usual standard. Staff was alright - they were busy so it's understandable. Apart from that, I suggest/recommend you get the spicy chicken as it is 200% better than original. Honey butter buns is also a must - you can probably forgo the potato gravy and coleslaw. Oh, they do American Style chips, so don't expect your Kiwi-Style chips as they taste a bit different.

Had Texas chicken for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed it! I must say, the customer service was 10/10 and they were really lovely. I was served by the restaurant manager, who was training a girl on the cashier, I think his name was Varun? He was awesome and made my customer experience so great :D Will definitely be going back!

If you love Hot n Spicy KFC go to Texas... Their pieces are far bigger for a better price and way juicier... you really can't eat n drive the chicken's too juicy. The wing pieces are cut with part of the breast. I no longer want to pay for chicken scraps, and I want to feel full at a less profit hungry price. I like their coleslaw. They date them so are made Fresh and creamier, not sealed and taste old from being stored. Also, you gotta handle a Buttery Honey Bun after all that. Texas. Its totally cheaper, different, a place to go to for decent pieces of crunchy crisp and juicy chicken.

Back here again.The staff are amazing. Accommodating, friendly and Helpful. Spectacular food especially honey buns our kids loved it . Restaurant manager young man who served us were AMAZING! Beautiful manner, well spoken, articulate and just lovely.

In terms of flavour the chicken was nothing to write home about, but it's so damn tender I was able to cut it with a plastic spoon, and so crunchy. The burger was amazing and the little hunny bun thing was great, the mashed potato and gravy was home style. Much better than Kfry, just

The fried chicken at Texas is so crunchy and delicious. They got regular and spicy chicken. If you are a fan of spicy chicken, then this place should be on the top of your list. And don't forget to try their honey butter buns, its so yummy😋

I have been to Texas chicken twice, the first opening day we ordered the 2x $39.90 combo (12 chicken, 2 large fries, 1 mash and 1.5l drink) per combo. We got one combo with hot n spicy chicken and swapped out the mash for a coleslaw which we were charged for even though we were told there was no cost for swapping out items, we also ordered a 6pk of honey buns . Waited 45mins which was fair enough considering it was the opening. We paid for our order which was meant to be $86.80 and parked up front. Once we got our order (45mins later) they delivered it to our car, I done a quick sweep of the order. We only recieved 3 honey buns and 2 fries (we should have recieved 6 buns and 4 fries) now the frustrating part was in store was packed up and so was drive thru so we decided to leave it, it just wasn’t worth the extra waiting and probably by then the food will get cold. Now having to feed 9ppl with 2 large fries (not even large in size - more close to a medium, same with the 1x coleslaw and 1x mash) we were at least hoping the chicken would be good. the Chicken was hard and dry (maybe too long in the fryer) there was no flavour whatsoever. One day that same week I was checking my bank account and had catched the total cost I was charged at Texas chicken. A meal I should have been and was totalled by the cashier at $86.80 I was infact charged $98.70. I was in Hamilton at this time and wasn’t going to be back in Rotorua til later so I just took that as a “I will never go back there again”. But Because I never learn my lesson once, I randomly pulled into drive thru again today and this time ordered a 3pc combo. There was a 5min wait on the honey buns and I was even charged correctly as I double checked before waving my card. My meal was delivered and I done a quick sweep over my items to make sure I got what I ordered (I did not want a déjàvu similar to my first experience). The service I received today was lovely, I was served by a lovely lady there her name was Amitha. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken as it was exactly how fried chicken should be. The honey buns were fresh and full of deliciousness. In general going through a second time has definitely changed my perspective. I would most probably visit quite often now.

Helpful friendly staff. Chicken portions are a good size and interesting cuts which I think is their secret to a moist well cooked piece of chicken. Clean dining area and toilets. Prompt serving times. Enticing marketing / competitions. Spicy chicken is killa, suggest original to those who don't like spice. Coleslaw and potato and gravy are the bomb - actually has substance. KFC is gonna have to lift their game a lot before I go back. Looking forward to making my way through the menu.

I was driving pass and did not actually wanted to dine there. But decided to give it a try and was very delighted that we did. The chicken are so fresh and crispy and the best part of it, it was not oily. The Honey Buttered Buns are to die for too! The manager at Lynmore (Zane) was simply outstanding. Great customer service and interacted with customers with great professionalism. I can also see that he is a great leader there and I am sure the staffs there enjoying the work there. When staffs are happy, the output (food and service) will be amazing. Well done to the team at Lynmore!! We only have KFC in Taupo but Texas Chicken is hands down the best fried chicken in town!! Wish Texas Chicken can set up shop here in Taupo and get rid of the KFC!!

Loved the service !! After a crappy day stuck in the hospital with my partner I came in to texas chicken to get a quick lunch. The store was pretty busy but the staff were super efficient and our order was ready in no time. thank you especially to the manager guy Verun who served us and made us feel welcome. Food was superb as well . Hands down one of the best times I"ve had at a restaurant in a very long time..keep up the good work guys !!

Best service from any Texas I have been too. They were quite busy but my order was unbelievably fast. I received my order before I received my change. This didn't affect the quality at all, it was the same Texas i know from Auckland.Hope you guys come to Tauranga soon.

Yummy crispy chicken!! I went into to eat rather than drive thru and found the store more pleasant in dine at than I thought. it's good they have a place to wash your hands. friendly staff and 5 star for customer service.
