What a cool cafe. A vast menu greets you on the blackboard when entering. Thoroughly enjoyed eating The Fat Dog Works. Rather busy, but the service was excellent. The food came out reasonably quick too. Thanks for the meal 😊

Best coffee in Rotorua. I had the Corned Beef Hash. It was perfectly seasoned, and I liked it better than the usual eggs benedict that you find in most cafes. My wife had the waffles and loved it. Highly recommend having breakfast here.

Nice little cafe with delicious food. If I had more time I would've definitely come back and tried put their lunch menus and goodies in the cabinet! Will be back next time.

Absolutely love this place. Great coffee and food. Suited our group of Mother in law, wife and wife's daughter. I had the "Woofer", pictured, OMG! I could barely walk back to the car. Flavours were awesome. All of us enjoyed our food. Coffee cake in big mugs, great. Very eclectic clientele so great for people watching. Lovely friendly staff even though they were rushed off their feet, they made us feel welcome and that we mattered to them. Will always visit when in Rotorua.

Ive been to this restaurant/cafe before on a number of occasions and the food is just delicious, the girls that serve are very polite and very quick to get your food and drink to you. Nice and clean. Nice and quiet when my friend and I went for a late breakfast and lunch. I think it may have new owners as well..........I think not sure.

A good portion size of light and fluffy waffles. The lime milkshake was lovely. Quirky decor. Service was quick.

My wife and I had the Fatdog works (cooked breakfast). Mean as feed. I would have added some mushrooms, but top marks for everything that was on my plate. Sausage, bacon, eggs, fried potatoes, toast, butter and relish. Good. Iced coffee (iced latte?) was also great. Definitely recommend the place, as it had plenty of character and great service. Prices were fair. Will return to sample a flat white at a later date, as I've read mixed reviews on the coffee here, but need to try for myself. Based on today's experience, it seems unlikely that they will disappoint.

We had a nice meal there. Food was really nice, staff is friendly, and the food was excellent and not that expensive.

A tasty lunch in Rotorua - we had the Steak Sandwich, the Tropical Fish Burger and a couple of caramel milkshakes. All delicious and fresh. It was quite busy when we went for lunch - but understandably so. We were lucky and snagged a table with not much waiting and ordered our meals and drinks at the counter. We were informed of a 30-minute wait for food, but I'm pretty sure it was delivered to the table faster than that. The food was good quality, and quite filling (we skipped breakfast this day - and only wanted dinner at around 8:30). Strongly recommend.

Perfect place for a delicious breakfast at an affordable price. Fun and quirky atmosphere with friendly staff. I enjoyed the delicious Turkish Eggs which had the perfect poached eggs and my partner had the Woofer which in his words … hit the spot ! Definitely a regular spot whenever we visit Rotorua!

This place has a great vibe. My goto for a relaxed coffee or lunch with friends when costing Rotorua. The coffee is great, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. My most recent visit was for a coffee while passing through. I tried the chocolate caramel slice. Delicious! I purposefully picked an end piece that had chewy caramel on the edge. So good! And that's the great service - the kind person serving happily picked it out for me in spite of the added challenge of reaching to the front of the cabinet :)

Delicious meal (the Dog’s Benny). Coffee came with a little sweet caramel treat, however the coffee itself wasn’t too flash. Good vegetarian options.
