Great Food. Awesome Service.
We were a group of 12 who turned up unexpectedly and it was no problem. Tu Meke!!
Food amazing , better then top restaurants i have eaten around the world for such a simple friendly pub .
Good little pub - had dinner here after a day of cycling the Clutha Gold. Good staff, great food and a busy atmosphere.
Ribeye steak was great cooked perfectly medium rare, wife’s blue cod was awesome great service and a great country pub
Camping over night and heard great reviews about the pub food here. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Cod was beautifully fresh, steak well cooked at medium, and the chowder flavoursome. Ciabatta (as advertised)would have been nice instead of the buttered piece of toast with the chowder however. Would come again.
We stayed here with our van for a overnight stop. We are backpackers on a budget but decided to support the tavern. It was worth it, the food is PERFECT! We had a beef burger and pork ribs, and it was so delicious 🤩 highly recommended!
Stopped in and loved it! Staff were friendly, the food was good, the tavern was clean, fresh and looked good - plus the outdoor area was excellent (sitting and sipping a cool drink while counting rabbits on the hill behind, certainly passes the time!). Great place and well worth the stop.
Amazing southern style pub. Fun was amazing and bar tender a top bloke. One of the highlights of my entire year. Has its own neat vibe of rural community pub, which we really enjoyed.
Stopped in for lunch, after passing every day on way to work and seeing good reviews .
Was not disappointed, great food ,friendly host, will be back for an evening meal very soon .
Even motorhome/caravans are welcome to stay over night.
We've driven passed this pub for years, but having stopped last week, we'll certainly stop again. Wonderful, welcoming atmosphere to a range of areas both inside and out. Stayed fir for an evening meal and were delighted with our food. Basic, tasty pub meals at a great price, making for excellent value for money. And take a moment to explore the historic displays throughout the pub.
