The food is absolutely divine! Good service and amazing coffee! Very lively cafe with all free range ingredients and well priced. Definitely going back.

5 stars We had a most pleasant Lunch at Ground Control I appreciated the fact it can cater for my low dairy and non gluten dietary needs. The Trifle mushrooms was delicious i tried to spoon the last drip of that sauce. The Soya flat white was very nice. Looking forward to our next visit. Staff were attentive and the premises was clean.
We have been here twice now for Sunday brunch. Both times the food and service was great. Staff very friendly. Parking plentiful and easy.
Great new cafe on East Coast Rd. We had the Chicken Waffles and Eggs Benedict. Loved the citrus hollandaise on the Eggs Bene, perfectly cooked eggs and Rosti. Hubby enjoyed to Chicken Waffles, only feedback would be he felt the sauce needed more sweetness, the menu said Chipotle Honey glaze, but he felt it wasnt quite sweet enough. He still said he would have again though. We will definitely be back as loads more to try on the menu. Staff are really friendly and attentive. They have some yummy looking cabinet food too. I hope this place does really well.
Loved my meal at ground control! I had the avocado bruschetta and it was such a nice twist on a standard avo smash. Really friendly service and my food was amazing. Will definitely be back
Coffees arrived quickly and were great value and high quality. Food arrived quickly aswell and was one of the best plates of food ive ever had. Will 100% be returning here.

Visiting this cafe was 100% out of convenience rather than planned, but what a treat it turned out to be.
The decor is lovely, the service was fine. I gave 4 out of five for service as we weren't ready to order on the first visit to our table, and only a couple of minutes later we were but no one came over, so I went to order at the counter. No biggie.
The food and coffee were delish and I mean 100% delish. They were visually pleasing, too. Pity I didn't take a photo. Gluten-free is becoming the norm now, but I haven't had such a good tasting gluten-free bagel in a long time. I'm not sure I would tell the difference between a wheat and this gluten-free one.
All in all, I really recommend this place.
Nice place, good layout with easy access for all. Slim pickings from the food cabinet, but that was at 2:30pm so no doubt speaks for itself. Service was quick, shame about the personality!
Loved the food and service at Ground Control Cafe. We dined there for lunch today. My husband had the big breakfast and I had the fried chicken and waffles.

Great new cafe, love the concept and their principles, which are reflected throughout. Great food options too, all tied into the same theme. Good coffee, and great outlook. Place was busy but service was quick. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars, is one service woman was rather incompetent, ordering didn't get/hear one of the four dishes right, and then tried to serve us someone else's order. Small blight on an otherwise great experience. Will be back again for sure.
Lovely atmosphere and staff. We went here for lunch and got two eggs benedicts, hot chocolate and a smoothie. The hollandaise sauce tastes amazing and I was very impressed with the hash brown - the eggs and bacon were also done to perfection. And the presentation was very pretty. Nice place for a lunch date!
A great place to meet with friendly efficient service. Food is delicious.. and I really appreciate being able to order a half size eggs bene.. perfect.. with salmon. I tried the mushrooms my mother (and sister) had ordered as well.. and I may have those next time as they were so good. But then again the eggs bene on crispy potato rosti was the best! Parking was easy too .. so all round Ground Control is a great café destination and I can’t wait to go back..
Absolutely amazing to have found this cafe, its eco-friendly atmosphere is the winning point - love the board that comits the sustainable actions the cafe strives to achieve! The food is beautiful and simple - but to the point that it's elegant. Their kale chips is a MUST. I highly recommend and I'll definitely be back
easily the best experience I’ve had for ordering allergy-friendly food, the weekend staff were so great!! Felafel was to die for & burger was apparently 11/10 (up there with the best flavours)
Had a good brunch. I like that they have adventurous option like Chicken Waffles... I'm bored with everyone else's menus looking the same. Also appreciated that they have a no caffeine hot drinks like Tumeric late and even rooibos.
Really nice spot, ordered the eggs Benedict, was a bit small but tasty. The space is also a little chilly, there are heaters, just not turned on. But a nice spot
