Review The Coffee Club - Silverdale

A lovely spot! Very friendly staff. Gourmet style breakfasts and freshly prepared each time. Also love their coffees. Will definitely be back.

Beats expectations by a mile! Relaxing environment, excellent friendly service, and the food and drink a clear step above the average Coffee Club experience. I had a mainstream sausage roll: it was heated yet the pastry still flakey and not soggy in any way; served with tasty chutney and small salad; also has a mango smoothy that was excellent. Recommended.

Under new management. Looks like family business. The food is fine but the service is outstanding. They really put their hearts into serving customers. Would definitely return.

Lovely lovely owners very welcoming and friendly what NZ is missing in a lot of cafes, the coffee is perfect and the food is great ! This will be my new favourite, it’s so nice to see a smile ☺️

Best cafe ever. Amazing service. Absolutely lovely owners who always go the extra mile. Food is always fresh and arrives quickly. Well worth supporting this business.

First time popping in here but it won’t be the last. What friendly owners! So warm and welcoming. Scone (was toasted with extra butter so we could share), coffee (extra hot as requested) & tea. Place was clean and tidy. Overall good experience and a great positive start to our day

An other lovely place, very quiet location and very handy just opposite of a very clean laundromat. The cafeteria is very good, try to order a portion of a "curly potato chips" which is absolutely delicious. Strongly recommend!

Took a walking group of ten people in. Well looked after by the friendly staff. Good coffee and a very tasty toasted savoury scone. We'll go there again.

Not only is their food phenomenal, their staff are exceptionally friendly. We were impressed by their ability to alter a meal perfectly to cater to our needs. The team were kind, happy, and created a really welcoming environment. 5 stars is not enough to express our experience!

My husband and I were shopping at Silverdale and late stopping for lunch. This was our first time at the Coffee Club cafe here and both ordered the Aloha Burger from the blackboard special menu, a cappuchino and an English breakfast tea. We were both so impressed with the meals! Absolutely delicious: chicken schnitzel, bacon, pineapple, cheese etc with a very tasty dressing and with a side basket of crisp chips, that were the best we've had in ages. Fabulous meal as well as super value for under $20! Our drinks were very good too. The friendly owners even checked if we were enjoying our meals. We can't recommend this place more for friendly service, great food and also convenient parking.

Disgusting. Complete waste of money. My meal was $20, all I got was a completely burnt burger and about 8 chips. One of the waiters was very efficient but the other couldn't even lift the coffee off his tray to put on our table. There were flies flying around our table the whole time we were sat. Would never go here again.

Already complained directly to The Coffee Club about this place. Undercooked bacon, old and overcooked steak, stale bread, will not be returning.

Just stopped in for a coffee and a quick catch up on the email. Well, the coffee is ok. However 15 minutes after being served I was asked if there was anything else I wanted. Lady with a tray was walking around making me feel like I should buy more or move on. Sure if the place was busy I can understand it. However, I am the only one here at 230 in the afternoon.

Went for lunch.
Ordered a light style breakfast (or something like that), for 16$. I got a piece of stale bread, one eggs, and some avocado and tomato. It would be fine it was 7 or 8$, but $16 is way too overpriced.

My friend ordered eggs on toast, and that was $13. The bread was stale also, and defintely not worth the money.

The staff were not as attentive as they should have been probably. All the desserts were pretty much over 4$ for really small slices.

Had unpleasant service. Frown faces and slow services even the place is not pack with customers. We preferred the Slyvia Park branch. Very pleasant, clean and cheerful staffs.

I am regular to this store, and every time I visit I am greeted with happy, smiling staff who go above and beyond to help you out. They are so accommodating to everyone's needs. I often see big groups of tables in there and the staff seem to handle the extra extremely effectively and efficiently.
The store is always immaculately clean, and the cakes in the cabinet are irresistible, I often find my self treating my self to a piece of chocolate cake and I am never disappointed.

Saturday the 14th I visited with my Nana and we were again so happy with service, food and coffee. They were very busy but the food came out within 10 minutes. We were informed of a 15 minute wait so were pleasantly surprised when our food arrived early. My Nana also revived 20% off her total bill with her Gold Card which is a bigger discount than most places!

It's a must visit for everyone :)

Went in on a Friday afternoon for a catch up with a few friends and was highly impressed with the level of service from all of the staff from behind the counter and on the floor. The food we ordered came out quick and was to a high standard. Overall we were very impressed

Went in for takeaway coffees last weekend, the place was quiet and had dishes everywhere and about 5 staff chatting behind the counter. A lady called Barbara on her name tag stood at the till in-front of me chatting to her chef for 2 minutes, then walked off without serving me, i was just about to walk out and the barista asked if i had been served.
2 medium coffees a soy flatwhite and a mocha cost $12.20, i usually pay no more than 9 or 10 for these elsewhere. While waiting i looked in their cabinet which doesn't look homemade and very expensive $5ish for the smallest slice i've ever seen, $4.50 for a scone or glad wrapped cookie.
Owners you need to evaluate service, cleaniness, coffee making skills, prices and don't forget to smile it goes a long way!

Went for brunch on Saturday 13th April, friendly service at the counter, we sat waiting, no one offered waters, our meals took 30mins to arrive (which for 2 simple bacon and egg breakfast dishes I thought was pretty bad, especially as the place wasn't full!)... we had requested no grilled tomato on one of the breakfasts (as my partner is highly allergic), but his breakfast came with it anyways, luckily no juice had seeped, so we made do. Also noticed lots of tables, very slow to be cleared. I heard they had recently opened in Silverdale, hence our visit, we live far away but came to do a big shop at Silverdale and wanted to "treat" ourselves to breaky out. So much for that idea. Sorry Coffee Club Silverdale, you were a let down!!

We went to the new Coffee Club in Silverdale on a Saturday for lunch. Our first impression was not very good. And It didn't seem to get much better. The majority of the tables were empty but were covered in dishes waiting to be cleared.

We ordered the chicken club and a chicken fillet burger. Our drinks came reasonably fast, the meals about 15mins after that. They looked nice enough however the chicken fillet in the burger was a very small thin slice of chicken that was dry and looked like it had been precooked and then fried in a pan again before serving. The club sandwich looked to be standard for the coffee club franchise but was cold and the thick toast bread crusts made it very dry. I had to ask for tomato sauce twice before it arrived and still the tables surrounding us had not been cleared.

I paid a visit to the toilets and wish I hadn't. They have three all unisex. 1 was out of order and the other 2 were filthy. This place has only been open for a couple of months and it looked like they hadn't been cleaned. EVER. The rubbish bins were overflowing so I had no choice but to add to the pile of used hand towels on the floor. The staff seemed friendly enough but were quite slow and didn't go that extra mile. The food is over priced ($18 for each of our very basic meals and the coffees are above average price. The sweets cabinet prices are all in the $6 - $10 range for a slice etc.) All in all this wasn't a very good experience for us and I doubt we will be returning. There are several other very good cafes in the new Silverdale shopping centre so at the rate I wouldn't be surprised if the coffee club doesn't last.

Not what you would expect for a new place...we called in on a relatively slow Sunday morning with high expectation. The service was friendly enough, albeit slightly slow - perhaps due inexperience. The menu looked pretty standard for a Coffee Club so happy so far. Orders were 'taken' and we waited in anticipation for our food, and waited, and waited. It took approximately 46 minutes for the first orders to arrive - which was pretty much 40 minutes after our drinks had made an appearance. One order was missing items, the mushrooms looked as if they have been shown a frying pan rather than place din one. The steak was a wonderful mixture of tender, chewy, sinewy, hot, cold, raw and cooked...the extra mushrooms on one order (at $4.80) were difficult to discern. Toast only cooked on one side. I don't like to be overly negative so, my scrambled eggs were acceptable and my wife's lighter cooked brekky was adequate (bar the aforementioned mushrooms) Overall not a pleasant experience but probably better than that of the poor souls next to us who waited longer for their first dish and then a further 'delay' before its mate appeared. Not good enough overall, they need to lift their game if they want to compete in this market.
