Review Mexico - Silverdale

Visited Mexico in Silverdale and tried their spicy chicken - it had just the right kick of spice! The place was impeccably clean, the service was prompt, and the staff were truly welcoming. A fantastic spot for authentic Mexican flavors!

Have been a few times now. The food has been reasonably good and flavourful, but I find the menu has limited Mexican items to my taste, but my wife likes it. Tonight they did miss 1 taco order, which we had to remind them to get it. On the whole a good Mexican meal. Note dishes are quite small for the price.

<add on> We went again on Wednesday to try new menu of braised pork riblet. It was dry, taste like chinese food, not mexican taste because star anise was inside the sauce. If you dont like star anise, recommend not to order it. --------------------------------------------- it is small portion. we order mango lemonade but it wasnt taste mango and color was green😐　taste like normal lemonade. wont order again pay for $7. wasted money, Overall taste nice. 🇲🇽🌮 But overprice. Recommend to use First table voucher so it will Reasonable price.

Delicious! Being from the USA, tons of Mexican Food Restaurants. Silverdale has some of the best tacos we’ve had! 😋 Friendly staff, great patio seating, and good vibes! #EatWell

Came few times in the past. We loved the fish taco. But seems chef changed all the menu. Tried fish taco its so different- still good but we missed the old fish taco. Good customer service!

The food was amazing and there were plenty of options for people who don't eat meat!!!! There weren't a lot of people when I went but I was still served with warmth and a smile. Would definitely visit again

The Mrs and I enjoyed a delicious meal and a few drinks at Mexico Silverdale on Saturday Arvi, service was good, food was amazing... Pleasantly surprised! Will definitely be dinning there again soon!

Food are sooo good, especially the fried chicken. And the variety of margaritas is huge and very delicious!!

Great place. Great food and service was amazing the two girls that were working were super friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Will be back.

Update: still a great vegan selection, each te they renew their menu there's something nice. Brussels sprouts my current fav. very friendly staff. 5stars remain. 2021: Great vegan selection, as with all the Mexico restaurants. There was a small mixup and the staff went out of their way to fix it, even offered a free drink. Great service!

Food was amazing but restaurant really hot. Fans inside would have been a great idea. Staff couldn't have done more to make it an amazing afternoon. Food was quick coming. Every bite of everything was so good. Only gripe. Wet wipes would have been a plus. Napkins just didn't cut it with the finger food. We left with sticky fingers. Classic Margareta was the best. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

Amazing food, a great place to go for after-work drinks and dinner. Their lunch menu looks great too will have to come back to try.

Mexico Silverdale is the best Mexico in Auckland! Since it opened we've been many times, and the food has arrived super fast with great service. The menu is awesome and changes seasonally, and the food is delicious and really nicely prepared. The atmosphere is lovely and it gets the evening sun which is so relaxing. Perfect for weekends or afternoon drinks! 5 Stars!

Went to Mexico with a couple of my friends we loved the cocktails and the lunch deal! Staff were very friendly and knew how to have a laugh.. great atmosphere and will definitely return

We walked in and the staff basically played 'not it' with who was going to great us. When someone finally did she was very lovely and had good service. But then they started packing up at at 8:15, when they aren't supposed to close until 10:00pm. They then continued to play 'not it' every time new people would walk in. Another group of people tried to come in at 9:00 and they turned them away and told them they had closed the kitchen, an hour before they are meant to close.

Went tonight around 7:30 pm and straight away there was a nice atmosphere, we sat outside which was nice and I appreciated the blankets in case it got cold. Unfortunately didn't know the guys name who served us, but his customer service was so good, such a chilled, laid back vibe and to top it off the food he served us was so delicious and arrived fast. I didn't even take any photos I wanted to dig in straight away.  We will be back for sure!

Food and atmosphere was nice. Better than other Mexican franchises out there. Service was attentive, Ideal. We went for lunch. The tacos were great. Patatas (Chips) are a ripoff and way over salted.<br/>We will be back for dinner.

The food was really, really good and surprisingly quick. Visited at around 4pm on a Sunday. Not too many patrons which I am sure made the food quicker. Seated immediately however took around 10 minutes to get our order taken (we reminded them we were ready to order). Overall good food and pleasant experiece.

As always the food is great, flavourful and so very tasty. It's the service that lets the new team down. My wife and I had night free to enjoy a meal out and always love to support local, however if local wants to retain business then the service team needs to step it up a notch. This evening we we shown to our table quite quickly for a busy Sunday which was great, but when the water was provided no drinks order taken or swift follow up. We placed our food and drink order together as some time had passed to make them seperatly and that was the first mistake, our drink order was wrong but thankfully corrected. The food came out in a timely manner so I can assume the kitchen brigrade were working well, but the second fried chicken was absent. Post meal no plates cleared, no offer of desert or coffee, or even a second round of drinks.... The wait-staff seemed more interested in chatting to eachother, or clearing vacated tables, than looking after current patrons. There seemed to be more staff behind the counter chatting than serving. I was a Maitre'd 20 years ago but haven't forgotten the basics of customer service, salesmanship and the art of an unobtrusive waiter. I look forward to returning to Mexico Silverdale and enjoying the wonderful food and atmosphere and hopefully the services has improved.

Hey hey! <br/>So my experience at Mexico wasn’t really that great. The Taka one is amazing however this one was quite an experience. <br/>We first started outside and had been served fine but when we ordered our food at 6:50 the first lot came out at 7:42, the staff didn’t really seem to know the place too well and it looked like they were all training which felt like we were the trial customers. <br/>The chefs were also no too sure what they were doing which is ok for a new store just didn’t have the nicest feel. <br/>Our second lot of meals came out just after 8 and then my friends last meal came at 8:26 and we were all watching the staff ignore customers.<br/>There were two couples that came in but walked straight out after three minutes of just waiting there. <br/>Not too good but I understand for a new store :)
