Great food. Read a review of the spring rolls so bought some - they are so good. Fish fresh and a nice batter - not a heavy batter like so many others do to their detriment. Highly recommend these guys.

Live locally and first time customers as neighbouring food destination was shut. Potato fritters were great & finally found a chippie where there was more potato then batter. Batter was minimal & potato was reasonably thick. The oysters were the same & other food was great. Good service & only wish we’d found the place sooner. Keep it up 👍

What a beautiful small fish and chips shop. My family of 5 and I stopped to just buy a large tray of chips while on the road, which we shared at a little table outside, while it grew dark. Such a hardworking and friendly family running the shop made sure we were comfortable and everything was clean. They served really good hot chips too. I would love to stop there again if we go through Silverdale and would happily recommend them.

I ordered snapper and kumara fries here for lunch, light and crispy batter good size portion of fish. Not greasy at all the hand cut kumara fries were thick and crunchy and perfect. Thanks so much for a delicious lunch. Recommend this place to anyone for a great fish and chips experience. Premises is nice and clean. Good is delicious - I’ll be back to try more of the menu for sure!

One of the best! We ordered snapper and this was so good. The batter is thin just right and fresh fish as always. The owner is very friendly. Highly recommend A+

Came here from winderholm last night because of the reviews and we were not disappointed. I haven't had fish on chips in about a year and absolutely loved this place. The snapper was fresh, the batter was light and crispy. The hashbrowns were delicious. We don't mind spending more for quality food but even the price was reasonable. Very flavourful and delicious. Just one tip. Add a little cinnamon to your pineapple fritters and that'll be perfection.

Bought our dinner here tonight. Best fish and chips around these parts and great friendly service. Also good prices. The chicken nibbles were amazing (dont need kfc after that), other items like chips perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Friendly welcome by both staff and top notch food! I visited 8pm on Saturday and it was very quiet. My fish was fresh, piping hot, and a good size. Egg burger had a large seasame seed bun, decent thick meat patty, plenty of salads and tasty sauces. It also came in a cardboard box instead of the usual paper bag which made eating and carrying easier. A well presented fish n chip shop with a convenient line of chairs and small tables. Interesting colourful menu of ice tea options which I saw others getting and looked a decent size.

A really great fish and chip meal. We decided to try this after being let down recently by the quality of our usual fish and chip shop. This was brilliant. Light batter, excellent wedges crisp and tasty. The fish was brilliant. We loved it and will be coming back again.

Best fish scallops and potato fritter I’ve had in ages. Hot crisp and crunchy , generous size. Really friendly service.Looking forward to next takeout night.

Hands down the BEST and freshest fish and chips EVER! We had crumbed hoki and battered mussels, squid rings and they were delicious! Such a lovely friendly family .....thank you

The best fish and chips on the shore. Go for the snapper....at $7 it's a large piece and super fresh. I drive from Browns Bay for it....its THAT good. The shop is spotlessly clean and the staff are really nice. 10 stars!!! You won't regret going here...but it will become addictive 😁

Fish was fresh and delicious, nice crisp chips, good pricing. Bonus was the bubble drink! Friendly staff and fast service. A free lemon was a nice touch. This will be our new local chippy :)

Good food, not too pricy, waiting time wasn't long and service was friendly. Bought the crumbed snapper, crumbled chicken burger, chips and some chicken nuggets. All together a 25$ feed that was delicious and filling

The best burgers and fish n chips on the coast He use to work at bright side takaway but has now relocated to here. Now all he needs to do is teach all the other shops in New Zealand how to create superb fish n chips + Burgers! Yum! . Thank you Sir

Visited for my first time yesterday. I have a gluten free diet so was really stoked to see that almost everything on the menu is gluten free! I had a piece of crumbed fish and half a scoop of chips and the fish had a lovely GF crumb that was crisp and tasty and the Snapper was delicious and fresh and moist. Really great find for us and hope the business goes well. Def recommend for GF people!

Spotlessly clean and awesome fish and chips. Serve a proper fish fillet too, not sliced in half like some of the more dodgy shops. All in all, our favourite fish and chip shop, well worth a visit. Service is great.

This place is great for those wanting a gluten free alternative for normal great tasting fish and chips. A personal favourite is the fish burger it's a decent size bun with the normal salad fillings. There is a selection of dairy free deserts and slices for those with a sweet tooth but is a bit pricey.

Located in Silverdale down past the early childhood centre this is a place with great fish and chips. All products are gluten free and so therefore cost more, however the Hawaiian burger was yummy, the chips, not greasy and the spring roll small but just right. I highly recommend Silverdale Fresh fish and chips
