What a great find in the middle of nowhere is this lovely restaurant . We all enjoyed our meals. The service was first class.

Wow. Just wow. We were looking for a nice quiet place to have an anniversary lunch. We stumbled across this place nicely tucked up a drive way. There are some parks at the entrance as well as closer to the entrance of the drive way. Lovely intimate walkway towards the restaurant (see pics). The atmosphere was just lovely with nice music. Plenty of seating of your choice. Food-wise, it was top grade. No doubt about that! Even my 9&11 year old enjoyed their meal! Their pastries are all flown from France and freshly baked to order! The croissant 🥐 is the best my daughter has eaten. The cheese&onion twist is recommended by my 11 year old. It's crispy on the outside and nice and moist with cheesey inside. The best he has tried in a very long time! Thumbs up from everyone. You can tell that the chef put a lot of love in the food. Everything tasted A-M-A-Zing 🙌🏻 Totally recommend. I would recommend to book as the place gets fill up quick. 👍🏻

Best meal I had in NZ! Reasonably priced and big portions. Everything is so fresh! I had the baked brie.

Definitely MUST GO!! My food was so stunningly delicious and an explosion of flavour. The bruschetta was the best I've ever had, accompanied by an amazing salad that could be a star dish by itself. And the croissant is so light and flaky. Definitely worth it! I'm already planning to go back again soon!

Our family enjoyed a lovely Saturday holiday here. The place is full of love and peace, and the special food and pour-over coffee, with a particularly nice early summer sunny day, made our family's stay here a wonderful and unforgettable memory. We are grateful to Memorys.

A beautiful place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Somewhere near our place, tucked in a quiet lane of Leeston, there is a beautiful, quiet and unique cafe and restaurant. Sue, the owner and also chef creates beautiful, colourful and appetising food. We enjoy the food and friendly service by her and her staff, Nicky. * This restaurant menu is prepared by week and by season. Kind of like you get what you see on menu but what we are amazed with is the right and perfect taste of each plate and combo. And definitely made out of passion and love. In order to dine here happily, you need to slow down your pace, no rush (of time) and enjoy the food, beautiful time with family or friends. You will truly love this place. ❤️

We visited yesterday driving up the tree lined drive way to a magical looking fairytale cottage. Totally deserted car park at 1pm on a weekend which should be one of the busiest times and not a single other customer inside. We thought the place was closed but no, we were invited in. My daughter and I shared a Ploughman's lunch which was totally delicious- cheese, ham and lots of pickles and dips. We eagerly anticipated our dessert of a mini sweet plate.... I don't think I have ever been so disappointed in a pudding- and I have eaten a lot of puddings. On the plate was an acceptable coconut macaroon cake, a cocoa covered sweet which turned out to be a dried fruit bliss ball of the type you get in a health food shop, a tiny square of something that looked like cheesecake but wasn't . It was less than 1cm square so no opportunity for a second bite and the final sweet was a cold blueberry, coconut ice/ice-cream/mousse substance which was waxy and truly horrible. Neither my girl or I could eat it. When I think of the opportunities of petite fours, tartlets, cheesecakes and mousses a sweet plate usually brings, the word "disappointing " was simply not strong enough. Just before we left an elderly lady and middle aged woman entered the cafe ordering scones - obviously a far better bet. I felt really embarrassed for the cafe as we paid - the was no way that they had made enough money to cover wages in the time we were there. When the likes of Raspberry cafe, also just a few km out of Christchurch are at over capacity every weekend this place would appear to have everything going for it. But if you want the few customers you do get to return - just let them eat cake!

We had our wedding at Memory’s Cafe yesterday and it was simply perfect. Sue’s passion and understanding of what we wanted to create for our special day was outstanding. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the food is second to none. Highly highly recommend

Just enjoyed an amazing lunch and the awesome atmosphere at Memory's. The attention to detail and presentation was excellent and the food devine! We will definitely be back! Atmosphere and setting reminiscent of Europe with a kiwi flavour. A must to visit. The staff were so lovely. We will definitely be back Apologies Morag M for literally copying your comment but your thoughts were precisely our thoughts. What a truly fabulous place.

Visited here for the first time today ! The antipasto platter was amazing. Great friendly service . Will be back. That courtyard would be a great place to dine on a beautiful Autumn day.

Sadly we could not even sit outside with our 18 year old chihuahua wrapped in a blanket. The lady was quite unpleasant about it which is such a shame as we have been there on the past. We will not be looking to go there again.

Great place to have amazing food, and the coffee is the best. If you haven't been then put it on your list of places to go.

Our family celebrated my mum's 80th birthday on Saturday May 13. I cannot thank Sue and her team enough. The food, venue, service, cake (the cake made there was incredible), the little extra special touches were wonderful. It was a special family time with such lovely memories. Thank you.

We visited Memorys today for afternoon tea. It's a 'must visit' place, with lots of special touches and a lovely atmosphere. Looking forward to real Italian pizza from the pizza oven in the gorgeous courtyard during summer as well!
