Had lovely fish and chips here last week. We ordered two grilled blue cod and one scoop of chips - due to the generous servings we probably would have been fine with half a scoop! Definitely a must do in Oban
Blue cod is so fresh! Tried the grilled blue cod the seasoning is just nice to not overpower the taste of fish. Portion is generous and foods serving is fast despite long queue.
Great fish and chips. Portion of chips is definitely huge for 1 scoop; biggest scoop I've seen so far! Tasty and generously sized blue cod. If only they're open more regularly..
I would say it probably is the best fish n chips I’ve ever had! The blue cod was a generous serving, so fresh with nice crispy batter. The mussels were ok. We ordered far too much, a half scoop chips is plenty for two.
This is a contender for my best ever fish and chips. Defo best so far in NZ but up in the top 2 or 3 worldwide 👌 Cod was so fresh and melt in your mouth. No fishiness here just the taste of the ocean and cooked to perfection. Coleslaw and chips were excellent too and it was all fantastic value serv
Great fish and chips! You can have it grill p butter. There's also coleslaw option if you want something different than chips. And the price is great!
Delicious, fresh, locally sourced food. Reasonably priced & good portion sizes too. Friendly chef. Space to eat in the sunshine & also seating & raised benches under cover if there is some rain. Menu in photos.
Best fish and chips I've had in all of New Zealand! Amazing fresh taste and generous portions. A must if you are in Oban.
Some of the best fried fish I have had in a long time. And the chips aren’t bad either. Pricing is fair and the ladies that were running the shop when we ate here were very nice. Awesome little fish n chip shop that we were very happy to support. If you’re in Oban, I think it’s a must-do.
I stopped my vegetarian diet during the days I was here just to try this and had no regrets at all. The grilled blue cod was divine, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Just a small fillet really but it’s fresh, not frozen. They change their opening days every week though, so you wouldn’t know when they
