The food was really yummy I got the kiwi special fish & chips the fish was perfectly cooked not overcooked the batter was thin and crispy not thick and oily the chips were drained and not greasy they were crisp and light to the bite they were not seasoned which I thought was a really good idea as so
The Groper is my favourite Fish & Chip shop in Stratford. A nice clean shop, friendly staff and delicious food. The gurnard burgers are amazing!! 😋
4.5 stars. Very nice and good value for money. It’s a shame the burger bun wasn’t toasted otherwise I’d have given it 5 stars. Friendly efficient staff, and the shop is clean and well laid out. Good variety of fish, sides, and drinks. Deserts on offer were a bonus.
Today we had lunch here our fish was cut in a weirdly square shape but overall regardless it was really good quality delicious fish, good large portions of chips and amazing service, love to support local kiwi owners business. Definitely recommend

I just love going here. Very fresh. Chips are amazing they are very accomodating to yoyr preference. The corn nuggets are the bomb💣

I had warehou crumbed and chips. Its the best fish Ive had in years. Cooked to perfection and served on a cardboard tray and wrapped. It was so fresh and crispy. I would totally recommend The Groper. 10/10
