Review O'sha - Takaka

We dined in for lunch and had the chillie basil and peanut satay stir fry's. Both were delicious (O'Sha) and good size servings.. Will definitely be back and might try a curry too.😃👍

Absolutely delicious. Generous portions and very tasty. Reasonable price. Could be decorated a bit more authentically, a bit cold and uninteresting in appareance. Otherwise really recommend! :)

Very delicious Thai food, Thai milk tea is highly recommended. The boss service is very good and kind.

O'Sha has been my partner and my favourite restaurant in the Bay whilst living in Tākaka. Great, friendly service and delicious meals every time, dine in and take away. Their food is always fresh and flavourful and served in generous portions. Another thing I have personally enjoyed is the number of meals they are easily able to make vegan which is cool if you are plant-based or have allergies. Highly recommend. We will miss your food and will have to find a new local fave in the Waikato! 😭💕

Hands down the best Thai food restaurant in New Zealand! Indeed I meant New Zealand, not just in Nelson or Takaka. Having lived in NZ for over 20 years I was enormously impressed when we just stepped in from the street, by chance. The ingredients are super fresh and of high quality. Not overly sweet, salty or spicy but can be as spicy as one wants. Highly recommended.

Very nice Thai food and friendly staff. Can make the non-hot dish you choose into Thai hot is very helpful.

Food was so delicious. Lots of fresh veges in the dish and prompt smiling service.

As a chef who has had experience with Thai cookery, I can say in my professional opinion that this is some of the better Thai food I've had in nz. Very well done guys.

If you love asian cuisine..O'sha is a must go in golden bay..the food..the music ...the staff...it was a delightful dinning experience. Ps. I had the traditional tom yum noodle soup... absolutely love it...yumm

I have traveled length and breadth of Thailand eating and trying green curries. This is one of the best ones I have ever had and it's in Takaka. Very authentic taste, paste tasted home made. Well worth the price. I will be back to try others on the menu.

Seriously 10 out 10 we had spring rolls... summer prawn rolls... pad thai... chicken laska.. friendly service..quick.. absolutely delicious food..would definitely recommend..thank you team!

Better than Auckland Thai restaurants I've been to. Lovely service - tasty flavors in the food. Quality over quantity 👌 I heard all about this place after friends visited for a date night (they live in Auckland too but grew up at Tata Beach) We had the Guri Puffs - light and fluffy, Spring Rolls crunchy and refreshing. Red Thai Curry Medium just Devine! I had the Chicken Pad Thai and it tasted very authentic - loved the noodles. The Decor in the Restaurant is minimal and impactful kinda like a Cafe. It's a shame this please deserves a larger area to seat more people. It can be very intimate when you are sitting next to strangers - one couple were next to us then moved away when the group of 4 people left they took that table instead. When the next group came that table wasn't available. I think people need to get use to sitting next to others tbh when your on holiday. Well done O'Sha. You have really shown this area amazing Thai. Probably the best I ever had. Everyone should definitely dine in or take out - you won't be disappointed.

Nice restaurant to eat to with an relaxing music. The food is authentic to Thailand for a reasonable price.

We had chicken red curry and pork special Tom yum soup for lunch. Price was very reasonable and the food was light, fresh and delicious! Staff were lovely as well

This has to be one of the best finds of our Golden Bay holiday. I would be happy to stay for weeks and work my way through the entire menu. Standouts have been the crispy chicken with peanut sauce and the yellow curry. Both fantastic and by far the best I've eaten. Great friendly and very quick service - and extremely reasonable prices. Cannot recommend highly enough
