Review Madam Woo - Takapuna

Had lunch here recently with a couple of colleagues. The place was spacious, comfortable seating arrangement and a modern Asian atmosphere. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. I had Hawker roll - pulled sticky pork. The roti is so delicious pulled pork is tender and juicy, but too much juice/sauce for me. Juice flows over my hand while l eat it. Will definitely return to taste the many dishes available. If you are in the area and love to have some Malaysian taste, I strongly recommend that you give this place a go.

Delicious foods in a beautiful setting. The hawker rolls were the bomb. Staff are very attentive and helpful. They offer traditional tea as well. Definitely recommend!

We dined at Madam Woo before attending the ballet and we’re impressed by convenience of parking next door. The staff greeting us was engaging and welcoming and I instantly appreciated the industrial oriental decor. The dining space is impressive vast with a separate bar area. Our waitress was excellent and knowledgeable. We ordered some mock tails whilst we deliberated on food enjoying the Crouching Tiger and Blushing Dragon, both fruity and refreshing. To start we shared coconut curb spring rolls, prawn pork and coriander dumplings and pork wontons with spicy sweet dipping sauce. These entrees were delicious and flavoursome. Our mains were the Assam Chicken with coconut rice and Percik Chicken Malaysian Slaw, which were tasty with gorgeous textures. The cuisine and service was impressive and I’d love to dine in again to try other dishes. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant first impression - friends and I had lunch here and we went with the lunch for 2 option. Really good value and we weren't still hungry afterwards (which is important!). I'd certainly go here again whenever I'm on the Shore next. We ordered the five spice fried chicken, prawn dumplings, beef randang, twice-cooked eggplant with wok fired greens and stir-fried pork belly. Don't forget the coconut rice!

One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in Auckland. From entrée to dessert , the quality, taste and technique of the dishes were mind blowing. Amber, our waitress was fabulous and gave great recommendation. If you are into big flavors and great atmosphere, make Madam Woo your next restaurant visit.

Petty cool restaurant, the deco take me back to my childhood when I was living in Asia, after traveling so many yrs, extremely excited to find place that people appreciate Southeast Asia causing, the menu mixed with Malaysia, Vietnam, Cantonese style, we ordered the $35/person menu, we get to 2 Entrée with salad , 2 main, be noted addition charges for certain dish but still reasonable, we had mushroom Spring roll, and fire chicken for entrees, they were delicious, pork ribs and soft crabs for main, the ribs are soft and tender, the soft crab is a bit salty, the Vietnam coffee not as strong as origin of the mango coconut ice cream with Salty coconut crispy very original very nice. Over all we enjoy so much.

We ordered Laksa with chicken and prawns $26NZD and Hawker rolls - pulled stick pork with cucumber $14NZD. Food tastes okay but it's a bit of pricey for us. We wouldn't visit here if we don't have voucher. Since we waited for our food for more than 30 minutes, staffs compensated us 2 free drinks.

Loved it!!!! Madam Woo is a fantastic fusion restaurant. We ordered two duck Hawker Rolls, which are must try’s when you visit Madam Woos. We had one on Roti and one in a lettuce cup, both were amazing and I really liked that they used more then one leaf of lettuce so the cup held together well. The other dish we got was pork belly with vegetables, this was food but not as nice as the hawked rolls, it was also covered in pepper corns which they didn’t mention on the menu. I also have to mention Bhavuk who served us, he is amazing!!! So friendly, polite and gave us all the detail we needed!!! 10/10 would visit again

Great atmosphere, the decor makes you feel as if you were somewhere else. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The guy who took our order help us out matching the food, as here the ideas is to have food to share. I had one of the cold infused green tea drinks with lychee, it was good and refreshing. The spring rolls were good and the wok salad sooo fresh and tasty. We had too desserts also to share, the Portuguese custard and the Roti doughnut with ice cream, incredibly delicious. It may be a bit pricy, but would definitely consider to come back.

We had a lovely waitress (Amore??) who is a great asset to Madam Woo’s. Tasty food, and a nice night out with family. A good spot.

Coming from Melbourne, we happened to stumble upon this place for a birthday lunch. They were able to cater to vegans and the food was so amazing! We thoroughly stuffed ourselves with roti, a yummy tofu salad, noodles and 2 out of the 3 desserts! Will definitely return on our next trip to Auckland!

Good food and some interesting flavours. Not the best value for dumplings for Asian food but a reasonably trendy priced option compared to other places if you are looking for something casual. I got uber eats and thought that $10 for 4 dim sums was fairly average given quality. This place has more traditional Asian flavours compared to Blue Breeze in Ponsonby.

Good food and atmosphere, very nicely set up. A bit on the pricier side, but this didn't seem to bother crowd there for Friday lunch

Ribs were very tasty and tender, but needed some rice or something to take away the richness. Nasi Lemak with beef reng dang is was tops!

Beautiful venue. Delicious authentic Malaysian flavours, but quite pricey; This is a fantastic example of the recent successful restaurants with an Asian level of flavour authenticity combined with a European level of serving sizes, service, wine and cocktail menu, and prices to match - you're paying for the ambience here. Would recommend the Sticky Pulled Pork Hawker Roll.

Great service. Delicious plant based options. Mushroom spring rolls were very good and I had to order a second eggplant hawker roll as it was amazing.
