The place is nice and simple . Food is great and delicious. Burger is very tasty and juicy, the sauces balanced with the burger it is very delicious. I ordered Beef buds burger very tasty and juicy the onion rings crispy and hot . Staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend to visit this nice place for a casual dinner with your beloved .

Burger was average, but expensive for what you get, $20 fpr a burger with no chips, the place lacked adequate napkins and utensils

Each and every element compliments each other so so so well, the ingredients are of extraordinary quality and the people here are amazing Great location too with a view of takapunas beautiful beach. Great options too from vegetarian, to chicken and beef!

Nice place located so close Takapuna Beach. No dedicated parking but plenty of parking slots available nearby. Service is nice and quick. Food is good nice taste and good selection. Recommend the place.

We went to this place on a whim and walked away thoroughly impressed. They have gluten-free options, and they make a fantastic greasy (in the right way) beef burger, and perfectly-cooked thick-cut fries. The chef was also really nice and we had a good little chat after our meals.

Amazing burgers! Went for the grilled chicken and fried chicken option, were both equally as tasty. The portion of fries was extremely friendly and equally as delicious!

The burgers were amazing. Our students said the fries were so much better than all the popular fast food outlets. Did not expect such great tasting and generously sized burgers. Slightly expensive from $10.00 to $15.00 plus per burger but the delicious taste made up for it. Not dripping with mayo, so no soggy buns. I would highly recommend this place.

One of our favorite Burger Places, my husband and I had lunch here last Saturday and the food was even better than we remembered it. Lean patties, fresh ingredients, perfect buns, very yummy sauces and fries - pity there aren't more branches in Auckland!

Very nice place, cute and comfy. The staff is quite friendly. I went there around 6pm on a Wednesday, and there were people waiting for tables, so it must be a popular too. My order took about 15-20 minutes to be delivered. I had the "Lambo" burger, which was delicious. Very nice bread and meat, and the salad was fresh. My sister had the "Fancy That" burger, and she liked it too, she said the meat needed a little bit more salt, but the sauce was great. The only thing we didn't like was the milkshakes, I had a strawberry one, and my sister had a chocolate one. Both way too sweet, and you can tell there's nothing of quality there, it tastes purely like those flavoured milks you buy in the supermarket. We would go back though, for the burger.

I ordered the Spicy Bird burger and kumara fries with Burger Bach sauce and shared onion rings with my friend. The food tasted very yummy and was filling. I really enjoyed my burger because it tasted fresh and was indeed quite spicy because of the jalapeno relish.

Really nice place for lunch in Takapuna. The service was friendly and accommodating. Our orders took awhile but we came as a bigger group of around 8-10. My fried chicken burger was fantastic, super generous amount of chicken and the seasoning was unique and good. Could be improved if the bun was toasted or warmed and the cheese melted a little though. Onion rings were a little <br/>greasy but really crispy and perfectly cooked. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals too.

I have been here a few times now and today was the first time after the lockdown, however i was very dissapointed to see that the combo which is for $18 gets you very small size chips...i was told that they had reduced the chips portion size....and the pictures on zomato are MISLEADING..also the containers that were used for chips are now used for hold cutlery on the table.... this is a very poor way of doing business when you try reducing the portion size ..which is clearly visible to customers........ added picture of chips...you certainly lost me as a customer today and hope by saving some chips you can make your business grow..good luck..never returning

Really surprised with the Bhaji Burger (vegetarian). Delicious patty, crispy onion and yummy sauce. Will definitely recommend.

One of best burger shop in Auckland worth a try.

Had lunch here.....a Bach Burger and a Satay Burger......both excellent. Pleased that we didn’t order chips as there would not have been enough room. Also one kids meal which was devoured by our 8 yr old, including chips and juice for just $10.00. We will return.

We had Veggie Delight. Bum was soft and warm. It was very filling veggie pate. I prefer less beetroots. Total taste and combination filling were good. My family is not vegetarian but they liked too.

The food came out super fast, great service and awesome vibe :)) The old board games are a nice touch too!

Really friendly service - the captain chook burger was really good with lots of flavour. The lambo burger was nice but just a little less flavour and maybe the beetroot overpowered the other flavours in the burger which is why.. but still good quality ingredients and fast service. <br/>We will definitely come back again and try other burgers on the menu :)

If want a really good juicy burger, I had the Satay burger, while being cost effective, this is the place to go. Highly recommend. There's a daily $14 lunch special with multiple burger options with choice of a side and drink. The staff is also very friendly. Nice chill music too.

I had the bachelor and my partner had the purple work shirt burger. <br/>The chips really disappointed me - on the menu they are listed as chunky cut fries but these just looked like McCains frozen fries you buy at the supermarket.

We came in on a Sunday after noon on a whim and tried the Bach Daddy and oh boy were they big and filling burgers damn! The kumara fries were amazing, happily go back for a second round. We came here with zomato gold. Ordered the big bach, buffalo blue burger, and kumara fries. The taste of the burgers are both good, and the kumara fries is the best one I have had in NZ! Staff was friendly and patient!

Second time i visit with my partner at burger bach yesterday. Resturant were very busy, we thought it would be late to get our food. But appriciated excellent managment skill. Best burger joint, amazing kumara fries along with the burgers

Was very impressed with the friendly service here today! I’m not a fan of veggie patties in general so I asked if I could swap out the veggie patty for the onion rings and the staff were more than happy to do so! The portions were great and the fries were super tasty 😊

Reasonably priced, great affordable burgers, good selection of menus. Kids combo is a treat for kids. Order the Office work burger and it was delicious! The buffalo blue cheese burger is also good if you love the blue cheese! Will come back for sure!

We tried two of the signature beef burgers with Zomato gold. It‘s very nice place with sweet atmosphere and friendly staffs. The taste of beef burger is generally very good in Auckland. I think that it will be much better if the buns wiil be improved（they are too common）

I haven't been to this place in a couple of years, as the burgers were not the best. However, I decided to give the burger bach another go and it was surprisingly quite tasty. I ordered the people work shirt burger, which was packed with ingredients.

We love this place! We have been here twice now, tasty and simple burgers, awesome location by the beach and friendly service. Love that there's a few board games to play and big fan of the kumara fries.

You walk in to a quirky looking burger place with friendly smiling staff welcoming you on a rainy cold day, that’s warming. Found this little gem amongst the list of eateries in Takapuna and I’m glad we did. We had the hot buffalo blue cheese burger and flaming chook burger and they were both well done. Burgers were very well made, we found the proportions perfect and the options available were great. Would recommend this place to satiate your yummy burger cravings and have a good time. Cheers.

The place was empty when we went in so I was initially apprehensive.<br/>However the burgers were made really well. I'm not a shake person but their banana shake was amazing.

I always get great service when i come here and the food is absolutely delcious. Love the seasoning and love that its placed on the tables if u want more!

My partner thought his local did the best burgers (in Waitakere), so we decided to do a comparison with my local in Takapuna. Pretty sure it was a hands down win for the Burger Bach. He had the chicken Bachelorette burger and I had a vegetarian Easy Pee-Zie which was delicious. He did say the chicken was a little tougher than expected, but it looked pretty good to me, he finished his first - I personally thought the comment was made because we were competing. We also had the onion rings (with parmesan) which were really delicious - the parmesan added a nice flavour. The staff Raj and Billie were lovely and helpful. Will definitely be paying the Burger Bach a visit again soon.

A pleasant ‘pop in and out’ style joint. Surprisingly our burgers were of higher quality to that of the price. Minimal interaction with the staff but felt really welcome. Worth checking out with the family

It was the first time I had a burger from The Burger bach, but I must tell you it was one of the best I've had in Auckland, It was not oily, it had the flavors and to top it all the service was excellent :) I would recommend this place to anyone at any point...

I was in the mood for burgers and found this place on Zomato Gold.<br/><br/>Chicken Little burger: a simple tasty burger. Juicy chicken, crisp lettuce, soft buns. Wish there was a bit more sauce. Size is inbetween Burgerfuel's gourmet mini and large buns.<br/><br/>Steak fries: the Bach seasoning is nice enough with a smallest hint of spice for an extra kick. It also came with mayo which was a nice surprise. For my personal taste, they were fried for a bit too long so they were extra crunchy and not as soft on the inside as I would've liked but my friend preferred them this way.<br/><br/>

Didn’t match the quality expectation. The beef patty on both the burgers ordered were chewy. Tried this because the chicken burger was good on previous occasions. But would not be going back anymore after today.

Had the fancy that burger and flaming chook burger. The fancy that burger was okay, beef patty was dry but the sweet relish worked well with it. The heat was nice with the flaming chook and chicken was tender. One let down was the buns. The bread was very dry and budget, almost like the countdown ones. If they change the buns, it would be a burger place I may come back to as location is nice and close to the beach

We had buffalo blue burger and the bach daddy. The burgers looked really good and tasted good as well. Kumara fries were a bit burnt on some pieces but they tasted good so it was ok. However on cleanliness side, on our table salt and pepper bottles were really dirty and fork was also dirty. Staff could have cleaned them properly when they were not busy - just a room to improve.

Good food and service by Mr Ankur. While ordering meals, the lady who assisted seemed unaware of the Zomato Gold terms and conditions and had given us information that was not accurate. I had to revert back to the chat option on the Zomato application to clarify from my end. Apart from the initial hiccup during placing the order primarily because of the waitress’s ignorance, the food was very good.

Pretty good real burger, generous, big in size. They do lots of voucher deals, good service, burger made to order. Juicy and delicious burger, worth the price. Kumara fries and normal fries are cooked properly, crunchy on the outside and soft inside.

I've been just walking past but always wanted a chance to try here and finally, I got an opportunity to visit with my zomato gold! Staff are friendly but takes too long to get a few meals even there was not busy. The burger was ok. Much better than McDonald's of course, but just the average of most of the burger shop. But still a good option after the swim at the Takapuna beach.

Fine burger place. Our love for burger bach started when we tried their buffalo blue cheese burger. We’ve had the burger a number of times however sad to say the love has faded. Ordering the burger today we were excited to indulge in it as we have not been there in a while. What we ate though was not the burger we remember enjoying before. Particularly the blue cheese tasted off. We tried raising it with the staff however they just responded that nothing had changed without really trying to address that to us it tasted very different and off. For the first time we did not finish our food despite us attempting to scrape the blue cheese sauce off the burger. I would love to give the burger another chance but for now.. we’ll look to fall in love with a burger else where.

Swift and friendly service. Burgers are a good size - filling and packed with fresh meat and salad goods. Falafel pattie really big and delicious- easy to go wrong with these. My only fault, hence the 4 not 5 out of 5 stars is that the buns are a bit dry - would love to see a whole meal/seed bun option that’s healthier or something more similar to Burgerfuel buns. Over all great experience and we will be back for sure!

My daughter loves this place and begged me to accompany her for her favorite bites. Situated on the strand finding a park can be daunting but I found one none the less.<br/>Ambience is kiwi themed. Back shelves stacked with kiwiana although it seemed to be lacking some how. Atmosphere seemed contrived rather than flowing.<br/>My daughter had the satay burger which she loves. I ordered kumara fries and a shake for her and the bachelorette minus bread for me.<br/>We didnt need to wait too long. My burger came hidden under lettuce. I dont mind wrapped but you couldn't see it. Burger itself was ok. Home made but not seasoned too well. The chutney which seems to come with all burgers is all wrong. It's like a home brand chutney that over powers the rest of the burger. There was barely any onion to speak of. I think I saw one ring hidden underneath. My daughters burger had satay sauce which in my opinion tasted nothing like satay.<br/>Saving grace were the fries. Crunchy and seasoned to perfection.<br/>I think I know why Sals next door was buzzing and this cafe was near empty. Average to say the least. A perfect weekend but empty.

Had a chicken burger and it was so good! The food was good and the service was too! Definitely recommend if you want a burger to eat! Some burgers are a bit expensive though but it's still really good :)

Popped in for a quick lunch and it was cheap and filling, nothing exciting and the sauces on the burger were a bit overpowering. $14 for a burger, chips and a drink is still good value.

This place makes delicious burgers, and with the voucher I got, or even without, the prices are not that unreasonable. The burgers are always filling and well made. The milkshakes are nothing special however if you love milkshakes, you can’t go wrong with theirs. The atmosphere is great and the decorations give kiwiana vibes. Would recommend.

The burger was alright. Bit pricy for what it is. Close to beach if it matters to anyone. The burger was nothing exceptional. Nothing too horrible. Taste wise, I’d rather go to burger fuel.

Firstly the lady working when I came in was super friendly and helpful and was more than happy to alter the burger for me and even offered an ingredient swap. The atmosphere and decor is lovely and great location just up from the beach.<br/><br/>We ordered the captain chook (cranberry chicken) and the double bach (double beef burger). The buns were super soft and fresh and both burgers were delicious. The beef pattys were really tasty and went so well with the thousand island sauce. The chicken was beautifully seasoned and very tender, unlike most other burger places that use chicken breast (cough burgerfuel).<br/><br/>Overall everything, including the fries, was really delicious and I'll definitely be back to try out more of the menu.

I visit on regular basis, cheapest burgers in the area, nowhere as busy as Burger Burger or Burger Fuel (can be very long waits there). I've yet to fault the basic $10 beef and chicken burgers!

Tried this place on Saturday. Walked in with my partner and we were the only ones there, I ordered the Bach Daddy and my partner ordered something else. We sat down and I noticed the staff walking around and nobody cooking. The place then started to get busy and once maybe 3 more orders had gone through she decided it was time to start cooking. So quite a bit of a wait for the food and once it arrived I noticed the Bach Daddy had beetroot in it (not stated on menu like others) I hate beetroot but removed it and carried on. The patty was very plain tasting, could do with some seasoning or something and very dry. Watching her cook them she was very aggressive with spatchuler , pressing them into the grill as hard as she could maybe to speed up cooking time? The burger industry seems to be booming right now and this place seems to have all the makings to be a great place but it slightly lacking in quality. Hope it improves.

I saw this restaurant name on UberEat and thought to give try. What a lovely unique decor. It seems they were very busy on weekend. Kids enjoyed their burgers. I am not big fan of burger but this one was amazing. <br/>I had Fancy That burger. That was really Bach burger. Thumps up guys. Very friendly Customer Service.

Ordered the burger "Fancy That" & a Vanilla milkshake. The burger was with Angus beef, cheese, veg & grilled onion, nothing really special in it, of course tasted better than burgers from McD & BK, cost $12.50 for this single burger I would expect more, a bit pricey for such small portion, the milkshake was yum though.

Great burgers; great quirky place and great service; did I mention this place is great? Thoroughly enjoyed going here and loved looking at all the old skool games; the chicken burger I got wasn't massive which was but it was executed perfectly

Had dinner tonight - friendly service - burgers were OK chips were OK - we had a voucher otherwise I think it would be a bit over priced. Will go again when more vouchers are available.

Ordered two burgers. Lambo and captain chook. <br/>Both were very succulent and tasted amazing. Bread was still crispy when I went back to milford to eat it. Salad was tasty and was not too saucy.<br/>Service was fast and had the correct order when it is a phone order. <br/>Lovely takeaway burger and will come back again :)

Great venue, love the old school decor. <br/><br/>Burgers were nice. We had the Lambo and the Bachelorette. Well presented and tastes great. Chefs were more than happy to modify burgers (remove onions) and chips were hot and crispy. <br/><br/>

Nice burgers, with some nice sauce and very nice to taste. However the portion size is ridiculously small. You pay $12 for a Flaming Chook and they come out with a tiny sized bun, and with very little contents. It's almost as if I could chuck the burger in my mouth in SpongeBob SquarePants krabby pattyezque fashion. Overall 5/5 burgers. 0/5 quantity.

This place was never too hot on quick delivery of food but the burgers used to be decent. Now it is more like an overpriced half attempt at a BBQ. Can make better burgers at home myself. Not impressed with the elimination of the spice n salt shaker mix that used to be available for the fries. Given the prices I would expect something better than repackaged Watties tomato sauce as a condiment. Very disappointing.

Tasty burgers. Nice buns, and meat patties good size for bun, meaty, not greasy and other fillings plentiful and fresh. Really friendly staff, who seem genuinely happy to see you. Worth a visit. Thank you.

With a small menu one would think the time from when you order till when you receive your order would be consistently short. The reality is even if its quiet you could be in for a wait. <br/>The beef and chicken burgers are a bit bland but the lamb and fish burgers are excellent, although quality of the chips is inconsistent. This is my Friday afternoon go to, its attraction is the atmosphere not the service or food.<br/><br/>

The burger was smaller than what I imagine but has very powerful flavour and was very fresh and healthy ! Chips were cooked to perfection! Could have been quicker as we were the only ones there !

Had a Grabone voucher. Went there last night for dinner at about 6pm. Food is delicious. Not expensive.  Not so many customers at that time. Environment was cosy. Service is  good and quick. Suggest put more choices into the menu.

Cool vibe and interiors. I had the fish Burger (Shore Burger) and kumara fries. The Burger was nice and the fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It was busy during lunch time, so definitely a popular place.

Was visiting from Melbourne and had read a great article on the burger Bach. It lived up to its glowing reviews. The perfect burger bun, decent size patty and was incredibly fun to eat trying to wrap my mouth round the big burger. The menu had everything and more. I visited Auckland for 4 days and had 3 burger Bach burgers. Will be sure to go back with friendly staff and a nice homely/Bach feel.

Had a grabone voucher for 2 burgers and large fries. We bought our family along and ended up with buying 4 burgers and 2 fries. The burgers were nice but the fries were over fried. Wasn't happy the way the staff charged us, as they used our voucher for the cheaper burgers and billed us for the more expensive ones without telling us. It wasn't a much difference in cost but would have been nice if they told us.

Was an awesome burger shop. Cheaper than ones at places like velvet burger etc but still the same size. Tasted great also. The shop itself is worth visiting. What a great design.

A laid back location with always friendly staff. The burgers are really tasty, however the burger sizes are small compared to similar alternatives in the area. Unless I'm getting fries too a burger here is too small to satisfy me.<br/><br/>Burgers are unpretentious and simple, yet made with quality ingredients. This is a good thing.<br/><br/>Would easily up to a 4 or higher if the burgers were bigger.

I was a little bit underwhelmed by the Burger Bach...I had expected a bit of an upgrade from the standard chicken / beef options considering the branding and location.<br/><br/>So, Burger Bach is really just dishing up home-style burgers in nice premises with nicely done Kiwiana decor

Very very average I had the burger Fancy That it had no flavour like the meat hadn't been seasoned and the burger was quite dry <br/>When ordered a side of chips I was asked if I wanted tomato sauce or aioli i wanted extra aioli but when I receive my order I got tomato sauce <br/>The only thing that saved them was the chocolate milkshake I got which was good<br/>Can't wait till BurgerBurger open in a few weeks<br/><br/>

The food is alright but to wait over an hour for a burger, when it's not that busy, is quite ridiculous. The customer service is lacking and they all seemed very confused with what they were doing. Frequently delivering the wrong items to the wrong people. And consulting the menu to see the ingredients list for the burger.

RATED First time to the Burger bach using a grabone coupon. Firstly the menu was underwhelming with options that were basically almost identical bar one item per burger. Nothing to cater for those that like anything spicy for example. I thought that they were reasonably well priced however, but not gourmet which explains pricing. The chips also come in a shallow dish (not the bowl pictured above!), and for $4.5 is a rip. We also did not receive the second bowl of chips meant to come with the voucher after waiting a decent amount of time for basic burgers. <br/><br/>Appreciated the toys/things to play with in the shelves and enjoyed the taste of the burger.

The place has a really cool aesthetic with great food to back it up. The meat was cooked nicely and there were plenty of options to choose from. Nice restaurant to have a quick bite in or get takeaways for an easy dinner.

Food was mind blowing, best burger I've had in a very long time. Prices are also very reasonable :) Lovely kiwiana theme running through the restaurant, and very friendly staff.

Had family coming to visit for two weeks and wanted to get them to see of much as they could while they were here. Takapuna was on the list and The Burger Bach came up on Grabone and everything aligned perfectly.<br/><br/>Great feeling when you walk in, light, open and airy with a hint of nostalgia (collection of stuff on the left wall). Toilet is also really cool with the "wall paper" being old board games.<br/><br/>Menu is what it should be: The Burger Bach, does burgers and they do them EXTREMELY well!!! Beef, lamb, chicken, fish and vegetarian. Between the 4 people at our table we had one from each category except vegetarian. We were all VERY satisfied, couldn't have asked for more. Fresh ingredients, cooked right and kept simple. The fries: one word WOW!!! Enough said.<br/><br/>Will happily, hungrily and hastily return and would recommend all who love burgers to do the same.

If you are after a true beach bach burger experience and only a burgers throw away from Taka beach, then you will find your Shore sanctuary here. Had the flavoursome Shore Thing burger which satisfied with its seafood and sauces. Funky wooden bach style interior moves it a notch up from the average burger bar and closer to the top echelon of burger joints in the city. Quite laid back, but then we are on the Shore.

<br/>I think they are little try hard in their decor, with the wood and corrugated iron but really did not utilize their small space in terms of their seating arrangements. A lot of people were waiting around for somewhere to seat with a space that could easily be reorganised to fit twice as many people. <br/><br/>The food.... <br/>Good selection of homemade burgers l although a little slow from the grill to the table. The waitstaff spend a lot of time preparing the buns/salads but the one chef isn't cooking fast enough to match the buns prepared. <br/><br/>The result.... <br/>The buns become soggy from the chutney and aioli. <br/>Apart from that, the food tasted nice.<br/>Would hate to see them on a busy day.

I really love the ambiance of this place. Funky and very interesting! Food was great and we all enjoyed our orders even the chips were superb! Recommend this cafe to burger lovers out there.

Heard it was a good option to try with kids for a causal dinner. Definitely not a BK or Macca fan and this is a notch or 2 better. <br/><br/>Friendly staff, good menu options without having too many - a common mistake. <br/><br/>Service was quick, decor casual but well done and not expensive at all so they deserve a 4 plus

This place is pretty affordable for those who want to eat out but are on a budget. Service is good and burgers are relatively healthy. My only complaint is that the portion sizes are a bit small and I also saw the cashier handling food with her bare hands right after handling money - slightly unappetizing. Would've been better if customers were given the option to select their bread buns! My mum was craving sourdough!

Not a really big fan of burgers... However I'm a good critic of a good burger outlet... As have visited quite a few around nz and overseas...<br/><br/>I'm quite disappointed with the choices in the menu as well as the taste of the burgers...<br/>I find it a bit pricey for the serve they give.<br/><br/>Definitely not recommened

This place is great. Turned up to pick up a phone order and the staff had forgotten to make our burgers. That was alright, the cook whipped them up for us in no time with lots of apologies and gave them to us for free. Normally this is pretty awesome, but the deliciousness of our burgers was the cherry on top. Love the range of burgers and sides and very impressed with the exceptional customer service. Definitely recommend this place and definitely come back.

Great quality burgers with a wide range of beef, lamb, chicken an veggie burgers. Lots of Kiwiana around the place and even in the toilets. This place has not disappointed and has friendly staff. Worth a try and even does nice wine. Will come again.

At last we made it to The Burger Bach last night - and wow did we love it!! Top of the list is the amazing helpful, knowledgeable talented and friendly staff!! We were so excited to feel so confident ordering a gluten free burger here, knowing it was in good "safe" hands with this clued-up crew and a separate fryer for the gf fries and kumara fries!! The Burgers were outrageously delicious, fresh and tasty, the fries cooked to perfection, we were in heaven and will be back again soom for sure!! We loved the decor and the atmosphere and just had such a good experience! And it was such great value too, and no extra charge for a gluten free bun which was very much appreciated! Thank you The Burger Bach! Next time we will try the milk shakes too as every other table around us were enjoying them!

The beef burger was nice and tender. If you're a chicken lover, the chicken burger is the one for you! The fries were crispy with the spice, tomato sauce and aioli sauce.

Came here one sunny afternoon with some friends. I had the 2 shakes burger, it had a lamb pattie, cheese, mint sauce, aioli.<br/>Was delicious, the patty was nice and thick but not too thick and the burger was very saucy.<br/>The place is decorated with kiwi memorabilia - very cute.

Cute kiwiana decor. Had the mushroom burger and fries- delicious juicy portobello goodness! The portion sizes were small and we were still hungry after, good thing Sals is next door. The bread was average quality. I'd prefer burgerfuel next time - similar price but bigger + better burgers!

Awesome decor, great beachside location which should be awesome come summer. The fries are delicious and staff attentive and friendly. The burgers were good - very homemade-style but nice if that's what you're looking for (which I guess most people who walk through the door are). Would definitely go back.

From the moment we entered, the staff were so welcoming. Helpful when talking us through their menu options and were very flexible about interchanging fillings and sauces inside the burgers. Our orders were fast! My partner got the Captain Chook with potato chips and I had the Two Shakes with kumara fries. Both burgers were great! I love that lamb patties are an option here. I also loved the smoked paprika seasoning over the chips. Generous amount of ketchup and aioli served with fries - awesome that they don't charge extra for this. The store was very clean. Decor is beach themed; quirky, pleasing to the eye and very fun. Music is modern and not too alternative. A great family friendly place - high chairs available. Alcohol is also served here to be enjoyed with meals. Overall, such a wonderful experience. Staff were outstanding. It was great that they cleared the plates from our table once we had finished our meals. It made us feel welcome to stay rather than rushing us out. Everything down to the drinking-water temperature and clean glassware was perfect. They gave us the full hospitality experience, with fast and tasty food, at cheap as chip prices. I couldn't have asked for more. Solid 5 out of 5 rating!

Went here on a Saturday night. Not too busy which was nice. Parking was a pain but not their fault. I had the captain chook it was OK nothing special no wow factor. I'll give it a 3.5 because the theme was cool and the staff were very nice.

I have been here twice now and was disappointed both times. First time I went the burger was great but the chips were still partly frozen.. I decided to go there a second time (was in the area, had very little time) and the burger was average at best and the chips were undercooked. I paid something like $16 for a burger and chips which is ridiculous. It's a shame I had this experience as the staff were very friendly and the decor/atmosphere is unique but paying $16 for what I got is not worth it.

We've been here a couple of times now and I enjoy their Captain Chook burger - definitely homestyle burger joint as they've styled themselves.  Seasoning on the fries was a little heavy on our second visit, but the staff have definitely found their groove overall after recently opening and they were definitely busier on the second visit.  My partner is gluten free and I was impressed they offered the gf bun free of charge, however we suggest considering a change in supplier as it isn't as tasty as some of the other options available. Love the quirky bathroom decor and the games on offer in general for entertainment.

I was very pleased with the friendly service. When I came, the restaurant was 3/4 pack with customers. The burger fillet was fresh. The milkshake was good, not too sweet like some other place, so I don't get full too fast. The price is cheap and the restaurant is clean. Love it.

Really trendy burger bar, well priced and delicious burgers. My family and I were very impressed, will be making this our new favourite burger place instead of burger fuel.

Good to see a trendy burger place like this starting up! A really decent burger for the price, jam packed full of tomato, bacon and herbed chicken. Messy as hell to eat though, might need some doofers or bigger napkins haha. Liked the hipster/pinterest interior going on too

Massive meal for cheap as price. Tasted very good a lot better then a BurgerFuel burger. Staff also very helpful. Nice little touch of Kiwiana within the store also. Nice vibes
