Review Como St Cafe - Takapuna

I loved my Salmon Eggs Benedict. My friend said her chicken skewers were a bit dry and the fried thingy tasted weird?

Great food, friendly service. Got a breakfast with the Grab One deal, which was a bonus.

Great place to meet up with friends or business associates. Regularly come here and have bite to eat/coffee. Excellent location (free parking for 3 hrs in next door mall car park)

We got a voucher which was a really good deal. Overal place was nice, food was good but some improvements could be made to make this place top notch. We got eggs benny and big breakfast. They were really nice about swapping sides and providing us with food to our dietry requirements. They put a lot of salt eggs while cooking which was terrible, some people cant handle salt. The bacon was a bit on the rare side. Also would recommend extra barista training so that coffees aren't burnt. Otherwise good portions and good meal options

Seriously.. 10 minute wait for my coffee while staff all ran around doing stuff. I was the only person there at that stage. Not good when customers should be the priority.

average? It was cheap for cafe prices. The food was not mind blowing. The salmon eggs Benny was pretty good though. Generous portions for the salmon were given, but the eggs Benny with smoked bacon was well overdone to the point that the bacon is nearly charcoal black.

Cool spot off the main road in Takapuna. Awesome looking cafe and tasty coffee. A good spot to grab a bite to eat at lunch - would recommend!

We had a Groupon voucher which allowed us to order two meals for only $17 total which was amazing value as that came out to only $8.50 per dish.

We tried the Lamb Kofta Skewers and their Big Breakfast. Both dishes were good, what you would expect, but didn't have a wow-factor.
Although considering the price we paid, I was satisfied everything overall.

We use a voucher from Groupon, very good value for 2 branch /lunch including tea or coffee. The smoke fish omelette smells so good, the kimchi burger is a unique dish.

So good food would definitely recommend and come back. The environment is good. Value for money. Enjoyed the food. Very polite and helpful staff.

Nice staff. Good portion size but lunch menu quite limited. Needs more variety such as fish n chips and the usual things you would find on a cafe menu.

Another great little organic cafe. Came here for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Organic and free range food. Portions are very generous and worth your money.

Cute little cafe in Takapuna. Really quick with service and great fresh food! Highly recommend for quick lunch breaks if you are in or around Taka.

Dropped by here during our recent trip to Takapuna beach. The service was good and the food was quite amazing. I went for the beef and beetroot pattie burger which was really interesting. My friend ordered their French toast which came with delicious caramelised bananas, creme fraiche, blueberries and bacon - a good match of sweet and savory.

Would highly recommend if you're in the area!

After abit of thought i have decided this cafe isn't half bad, need to work on the seating alittle and remove the tackiness of the fake plant, also be a little less greedy on the drink prices, could just be the phoenix drinks as i know they are pretty hard on their pricing themselves. the ceaser bap was actually nice. Id go back again for sure and the food presentation is definitely a huge plus, it shows they have passion for food and i can respect that.

Super little place. Fab, filling food and great friendly service. Havent had hot drinks so cant comment there but what we have had we have thoroughly enjoyed. Love the cesaer salad especially the fact that you use real pieces of bread for your croutons (unlike some lazy places that just add those little squares out of a box). Heaps of bacon, chicken and cheese. Perfect, thank you. Highly recommended.

Lovely service and atmosphere. Went here this morning to grab a hot chocolate and scone. My only real criticism is the hot chocolate I was served I could make better myself out of hot chocolate mix at home - this was very disappointing.

I like the soup there when it's winter time. The portion is good enough to fill me up at lunch time. Last time I tried the tomato soup served with ciabatta bread. I asked for some butter. The manager did not hesitate and gave me three big slices of butter. It was a very satisfying lunch and will visit again soon.

Went into Como for only takeaway coffee (coffee was 7,5/10) and hot chocolate (my son said the chocolate was 5/10) - No bloody biscotti thought, cafes piss me off when they don't have this.

The food looked great and I was really impressed with the herbs all growing on the wall, great touch!

I live in the area so will go back for sure and try the menu and the food in the glass cabinet it had some good looking dishes, but like so many cafes they didn't have biscotti.
