This cafe is a hidden gem stuck away in the corner of the mall. It rocks for breakfasts and business meetings - its quiet, has 3 hours free parking in the mall car park, plus free and fast broadband. Oh and awesome staff.

I love the eggs benedict but not so much on the English muffin that comes with it. I don't think there's any special components on this dish that makes it different to other places.

What a wonderful Place hidden in the corner it was difficult yo find but great food and good customer service. A lot of variety to choose from and nice options for snacks from the cabinet loved the dessert.

GROUPON USERS BEWARE - it says bookings essential in the terms and conditions when it should really say " bookings essential even if you decide to come when you are passing despite there being an empty cafe" We had used a voucher without booking previously and there was no problem but today we went to pay with second voucher and were refused because we had not booked even though the cafe was empty!! Booking needs to be via Groupon site but the terms and conditions are not clear.

Coffee is like wine.  It's very personal.  I don't enjoy the coffee here.  It's too strong, too acidic in the after-taste.  Food is okay, especially it offers a wide selection.  Being in a major shopping mall is actually a disadvantage.  No matter how the cafe tries with its settings, the noise from the mall travels.  During school holidays, it could be very noisy because kids from the nearby in-mall playground could be rather loud.  There are better options in Takapuna than this one.

I have been to this place several times and everytime I walked out of this cafe I felt very unpleasant. Their service was very very very HORRIBLE. First of all, im not a racist and i do not hold any sort of stereotype against people. However, the manager looking indian man was just utterly rude and arrogant. He will have to learn to communicate in a polite way if he wishes to continue running that place. <br/>His behaviour just ruined everything, the food and my time I have spent there. If someone asks about this place, I will NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVER. Please if that man sees this review I wish you could realise how ugly your attitude is.

Beautiful food however service was a let down. We had order 2 delicious breakfasts and the fellow that greeted us was just really doing what needed to be done, there was no real warmth or friendliness as would be expected by the person who greets you. I think eating out is about the whole experience. We had eaten here in the past and service and food was 5/5. Today we were disappointed by our service if we wanted to dine out and be left to ourselves this would be the place to go. The mirrors also looked a bit grubby and Im wondering if there has been a change in owners. The chef made a beautiful meal this we would not complain about 5/5 for food and presentation.

I used to come here quiet often when i was studying next to shore city and it was quiet good. <br/>My experience on Monday, on the otherhand, was not. Came with some friends for lunch as we had fond memories in this place. <br/>All of ours coffees were cold and very bitter so we asked for them to be remade, which they were, the muffins were extremely overcooked and dry. One of us had the eggs benedict, the eggs were overcooked and the sauce was very runny. I had the corn fritters which were really nice just the grilled tomato could of been cooked a bit more. I was quite unhappy to see that the chef was not wearing an apron or a hat whilst cooking and there was a vast amont of leaves scattered around the floor from the trees in the middle of the restaurant. Overall it was a bad experince which is depressing because this cafe was one of my favourites .

I came in with my wife and sister for Sunday lunch. When we arrived we were instantly greeted(but a smile would of been nice) and shown to a table. We were given menus and the young guy said he would be back soon to take our order but he never did. After waiting for ages I stood up and went to order at the till. Again I was waiting to be served, there were 3 Indian guys chatting away in their language whilst the young barrista was making and serving coffee. Eventually the chef asked one of the guys to serve me. As one of the young guys was serving me another went to my table to take our order. These 3 were very rude and inpolite. We only had cabinet food as after the service we recieved we didnt want to stay long. The food was good but my sister had to ask for her salad to be heated more as it was still cold. Good coffee though just a shame I wont be returning after this experience.

I was impressed at how much you could choose from the menu with a grabone lunch voucher - pretty much everything except steak. I got the salt and pepper squid. I know squid is a risky dish but I've had a good run with it lately, going to a few places that do it really well. This was not one of those places. The crispy coating didn't stay on and the squid was like a boot. I was devastated I didn't choose something else. My mum had the chicken fettuccine and it looked so good. The service was mixed we had a few really lovely people come to our table and one not so pleasant. I loved the mozaik in Mt Eden and love the one in New Lynn so this was a disappointment for me.

Thank you for today! We were the kind of customers that every café hates. Altering what we wanted from the menu and then messing up our order. Thank you for being so accommodating and friendly and going the extra mile to work around us! Plus the food and coffee was great! Thank you :)

I've been to this cafe on my uni break with my friends quite a few times and the service has been exceptional. Everyone is so friendly, the food is up to standard and very good portion for their price. Pricing is very good and affordable. The food comes out on time and their coffee is the best coffee I've had in a long time. I'm definitely coming here more often :)

Staff were too busy gossiping to take us order then serve us. Muffins were dry. Overall the service wasn't great and neither was the food... Was a little disappointed but will be sure to give it another go at some point :)

We come to Mozaik quite often, the food is consistently good and so is the coffee. My favourite is either the Cajun chicken and prawn salad or the Cajun chicken sandwich and my partner gets the steak or the steak sandwich. The staff are friendly and it's always enjoyable to eat here.

I'm a fan of their 'healthy' menu which is separate to their normal menu (not currently shown here on Zomato) and the options offered across both are sure to satisfy anyone. Good portion size and fresh produce used for a great tasting meal.  Also had a great cup of coffee, good flavour - not to bitter and the milk steamed to perfection. A definite repeat venue.

Went in today with the hubby and kids and the place was very busy. Still we were greeted immediately and shown to a table, menus were provided. We had to signal a waitress to order but this wasn't unreasonable as they were flat out. Drinks came quickly and the food was lovely and our waitress very can do. Everyone was tasty and well cooked. Only suggestion for improvement would be to leave a bottle of water and glasses on the table as the staff were flat out and it was just another job for them to do and a  wait for us. Will be back and happy to recommend to others.

Had brunch here today with my husband and son. My husband went to the counter to order to be interupted by the girl as he was giving in the order, she also answered the phone and was also talking to a member of staff. So his drink order of an iced coffee with no cream came with cream. His big breakfast advertised a venison sausage which turned out to be a kransky sausage, still turned out to be a nice breakfast (very over priced for a breakfast on a narrow plate). My son ordered eggs benedict with bacon with an iced tea which he gave 👍too. I had tomato soup as potato and leek sold out which is understandable on a wet day. However the soup would of been more flavoursome with a grate of parmesan cheese on top to add more flavour as herbs in it just too much (more like a spag bol sauce) but with the turkish bread it was nice. Had an enjoyable ginger and lemon tea but the plastic spoon was disappointing. Ok for a food court store.

My daughter and I and her seven year old stepdaughter went here for breakfast this morning and could not fault a thing. From the welcoming greeting by the owner and his offer of an activity sheet and coloured pencils for the seven year old through to the food and service it was great.<br/>Located in a corner of the mall it has always been one of our choices of places to go to for breakfast.<br/>The new menu has some old favourites as well as some new choices.<br/>The hot cakes were cooked to perfection, came with a generous portion of bacon....and a lot of cream! We chose not to have the berries which normally come with it.<br/>The Big Breakfast was BIG and again all cooked to perfection and well presented.<br/>The coffee came at the end of our meal as we had asked and was hot with just the right amount of crema.<br/>Three very satisfied customers who will be back soon :)

I've been to Mozaik cafe a few times and came today for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. I found the service to be very friendly. It didn't take too long to get my trim flat white. The white chocolate brownie that I ordered was simply divine. It wasn't overly sweet like many other brownies I tried before, very fresh and had a nice and soft texture. The only suggestion I'd make is to complement it with raspberry coulis on the side. Otherwise, the brownie itself is top notch.<br/><br/> P.S. I was very surprised to hear that someone had a bad experience at Mozaik Takapuna. If they had indeed issues previously, clearly management is working hard to ensure their customer service is up to a very good standard.

The coffee is great, probably one of my most favorite. However, the customer service is extremely poor.<br/>So, I just got back from the cafe after ordering just a Mochachino with a shot of Hazelnut (in Barista terms, this is a simple enough request - right? ) Well surprisingly enough this group of staff were extremely rude. Lets take some time to note the time and date so, you know when not to go. It was around 12:30pm on Friday (26/09/2014).<br/><br/>Before I start, I am not racist - I am Indian myself. So, the comments made here are not from a racist or biased view. <br/>I was waiting in line to make my order, the lady that was before me also experienced really bad customer service as the staff (Indian girl) who was taking her order had asked her 3 times what she would like and the customer had to remind her to take her payment!! I thought it was just one unfortunate incident. However, it was my turn next. I always know what I want as I get the same thing everytime although this time I spoke very slowly so the staff didnt have to ask me three times as she did with the last customer (listening skills seem poor). The she confirmed my order ... Capachino with a shot of hazelnut large? I was like nooo its a MOCHA. A mochachino! The other staff member  - guy (Indian also- wearing a black shirt ) who was in the middle of making coffees heard me say "no, a mochchino" had came and took over my order. I can be almost certain that he heard the girl staff make mistakes more than once. So he thought he would take over and do a better job. WELL, if anything he was the one who prompted me to write this review.<br/><br/>So, he took over and took  my order. He said take away, I said yes. Made my payment and that went through smoothly. then I waited about 5-6 minutes (I had timed this). No coffee yet. Then another customer behind me had placed her order 1 hot chocolate, 1 capachino and a Panini (She was white) this staff told her there would be a 5 minute wait - HE had told me nothing about waiting at this stage.  She waited with me. <br/><br/>Then after atleast 12-15 minutes of me waiting an order had been called out. I assumed it was mine as there was no one waiting before me. Nope, it was the Woman who had order AFTER ME with a LARGER ORDER that had got her coffee, hot chocolate and panini. I was rerved up. The lady had to remind him of my order after she got hers. He didnt even apologize neither gave me any sense of how long the coffee would take. He said yes, coming up. I saw him start making the coffee and he handed it over to another staff member to make. Hold on! Wait a minute! Shouldnt they have started my order way before the lady's order?? They starting it now after the lady after me who had ordered needed to remind them about my order. AND still no aplogies. I had to wait there another 5 minutes for my Mocha to be made. He handed it over to me, still no apologies. Just "a large mocha with hazelnut shot" ! Hoenstly. There customer service is shit! or the guy just was being a complete douche/racist. <br/><br/>Oh and let me add, a lady that was dining in for her coffee had to come to the counter and remind them she had ordered a coffee , they had forgotten her too! Whats even worse was she was a very elderly lady who really shouldn't have to get up from her seat to remind staff about a coffee she had already ordered!! <br/><br/>So, . I waited almost 20 minutes for a coffee. I was on a break from work which was supposed to be 10 minutes. <br/>I am extremely  frustrated and disapointed as their coffee is really good, They just really really really  need to work on customer service as this is the WORST customer service place I have experienced. And from what I saw today I am pretty sure lots of customers feel the same way. They just don't have time to write a review!
