We were so tired during our trip. But the chips and a nice coffee at the Flat Rock Cafe got us back to live!

We needed to stop for bathroom and wifi so bought some chips (were told we didn't need to buy anything) but I'm so glad I did the chips were awesome and great value. Very friendly staff, lovely outdoor area.

We went there as a club group after visiting a nearby commercial facility. We received a warm welcome, were seated quickly and had our orders taken. Service was a bit slow. We stopped here for coffee on our bike ride from Tapawera to Wakefield. Wonderful friendly staff and fantastic scones! Staff went out of their way to welcome us… especially the little one! We had great service and would come back any day. Thank you from the girls group!

Awesome staff, location and food selection. Stayed behind cafe in motorhome couple of days, great base for bike trail riding. Relocated further down valley and still came back for brunch and dinner .
