The pre-sauced H dog didn't go down a treat with my friend (pictured).
We did wait for one hour to receive them but they must've been particularly under the pump as it's Xmas time.
If you know about the wait it'd be fine, we thought it was going to be about half an hour but no worries. Would eat again.

Have stopped here several times when passing through Taumarunui and will stop again! The kai is great! Friendly staff and their fish, chips (fries) & fritters are superb. Sometimes there is a selection of fresh seafood add well.

Known for fish and chips but they offer a wide variety, from pizza to fried chicken (both kfc and rotisserie styles) to seafood options. We got a 1/4 piece of rotisserie chicken, and fried fish from the fresh picks. Tasted pretty good though we've had better. Chips were just a tad too dry for our tastes.

Wow. From the outside not the most appealing storefront but their fish n chips are blinking awesome. Best batter I have eaten in ages. Chips were light n crispy. Definitely would stop there again
Very popular takeaway. We're passing through and took our order 15 minute drive to our motel at Owhango. Still piping hot. Gotta love the chips! mmm

Good atmosphere in the shop and staff are friendly.
I found out this was one of the best fish&chips on Te Araroa. It’s a little off the trail but worth it!!!
Great food. I got the spicey chicken burger and wedges, service was great and friendly. Hope to get back there again and try other things. Seems likke a very popular local takeout
Excellent service. Fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The mussels were yum and the chester chicken n chops were delicious also.
This is a must visit place. Great staff, beautiful food at reasonable prices. Quick service despite a very busy Friday night. Highly recommend.
