Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Heaps of gluten free options for my Coeliac hubby too. Highly recommend!
The best coffee in town and a big range of healthy food, variety of milk and gluten-/dairy free options. You definetely need to try it if you are in Taupo.

Great variety in both the menu food & cabinet food. We ordered at the counter, found a seat & had only been sitting for a minute when our coffee & tea arrived! Great service & delicious food - we’ll be back next time we’re in Taupo :)
I love this cafe! I stop here whenever I'm passing through Taupo or every morning when I'm staying in the city. The coffee is fantastic and this due to the highly professional approach they take to their 'barista-ship'. The Barista is even happy to talk through the coffee making process with you while you wait if you're curious about what they're up to! The cabinet food for those in a hurry is delicious and fresh; the menu food is also delicious and comes out quickly from the kitchen so you're not waiting long.
The staff are friendly; the cafe is warm, tidy and clean; and the location is perfect for a quick stop if you're on the road or a chill out if you're busy shopping.

Fantastic food, great service, really high quality food and the coffee is the best I've had in ages. I spent 3 weeks in Taupo over Christmas and went to most cafes (see my other reviews) - this is by far the best. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict with slow cooked pork belly but everything I tried was top quality. This will definately be my cafe of choice in Taupo.
7 of us went for breakfast on boxing day and the breakfasts were delicious and came out in a timely fashion. Eggs Benedict was of a high standard. My husband's French toast was a little soggy..but other than that everybody enjoyed immensely.
My wife and I have breakfast here every time we come to Taupo. The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly and the service is fast.
Bodyfuel is a compulsory stop for us each and every time we come to Taupo.
This cafe came recommended by a friend and I can see why.
Food on display looked exceptional and a good range also. My panini was very nutritional and cooked well. Great sweet afterwards and coffee was very good.

If this cafe was in Hamilton where I am from then it would be one of the best ones (and yes, we have some very good cafes!!).

Without a doubt, the BEST cafe in Taupo, and probably North Island to be fair, and I do frequent quite a few!
It's always a MUST when we're in Taupo, especially when doing many of the events in Taupo that we do (Ironman, 1/2 marathons, Round Taupo, etc)
The food selection is amazing, and so nutritional, and a nice touch with the coffees coming with a cinnamon almond :)

After frequenting Body Fuel for a number of years the standard of service has never dropped and the food is still magic the crew and management still as friendly as ever when ever we visit they already know which beverages my family and i prefer and always have a positive greeting

Crissy and Steve have got to the best hosts ever , we had my wifes 50th ther on sat and had agreat ime the food was plentiful and brilliantly delicious .they even went out of there way to accomondate one of our guest have required a gluten free meal

We travel around NZ. and this woukd have given us the BEST big breakfast ever. Everything was perfect. Fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon that was soft to suit one toothless wonder, the creamiest best ever mushmroom medley... it really was worth a trip back to Taupo for breakfast alone.
It was awesome place I went there late in the day and was welcomed like we walked in at 9am which was brilliant and had amazing food from the chill counter beautiful coffee staff were so awesome
It was a quick stopover on Intercity bus. We managed to grabbed a chicken sandwich and a mince pie. The sandwich was very hearty but the pie was average. Service was great and that’s a big plus.
10/10 experience at Body Fuel. Americanos were tasty and the Smashed Avocados were fresh and delicious!
The breakfast and coffee was consistently excellent. But the most inviting aspect was the front staff member still setting up. They invited me to enter and offered music and coffee whilst he setup. I didn't have to wait in the car, or outside if I was a 'customer using public transport'. Google 'hours' don't seem to differentiate for public holiday hours, so it's this 'inclusivity' in service that I missed elsewhere. Google should make the distinction, to achieve the same service I get from Google navigation.
One small issue. I'd prefer a shallow plate and not a deep bowl for Eggs Benedict.
The food is so good here! They really cater to a lot of different dietary needs, and everything is clearly labelled.

Keto brunch meal was delicious. The beef burger was tasty and filling. Great staff and wonderful service. Price is fitting with the delicious meals.
Loved the food and service the first time I was here a month ago and now back here with some friends. Same outstanding service by the staff and of course the food was absolutely delicious. We had coffee, milkshakes, and smoothie as well and we all enjoyed it. Everything is reasonably priced and totally worth it. A cafe that's not to be missed when in Taupo.
Our favourite Taupo cafe to stop at. The service is always great. The food is crowd-pleasing but still nourishing - the meals come with a decent portion of salad/veg, they use good quality ingredients, and the milkshakes aren't sickly sweet.
Great little spot for coffee and breakfast. We tried some of their new coffee creations, and they were really good, with a bit of a kick to them. The Eggs Benedict was great, and the beef mince tasted fantastic. Service was also very good. The interior looked fairly modern and had a nice unique vibe to it.
