It was an alright experience, the burger was delicious but the Kumara fires were either refried, the oil was old or just sitting for a long time :/ they weren't nice at all, all of the tables had food crumbs from previous customers. The view is nice from the 2nd floor

Great tasting burger with wonderful lake view!
I think the burgers in this place is one of the best in town, not pricy, great taste and really nice view from the table! I tried the beef, chicken, and fish burger. I highly recommend the beef and fish, they are very tasty and juice! It’s also very under budget, comparing to all restaurants next doors with lake view, four burger (one combo) for just NZ$60)

Best burgers and an awesome view, with upstairs warm seating its the best example in NZ. You cant go wrong here. Vegans, vegetarian, gluten free range carnivores alike. Everyone loves their local BF.

Burger fuel is burger fuel right? Meal was good, had a Modifried burger, chips and drink. Burger was good and for once the chips were actual fresh and hot. Location is epic, feel like you should be in a 5 star restaurant with a view of Lake taupo and ruapehu.

We were arriving quite late in Taupo and just ended up coming here to pick up some burgers for dinner. We ordered in store and then headed out to Pac and Save to grab a few items. The food was ready when we arrived. I had the new Ribiron burger meal and that was quite nice. Service was friendly and the food here was also nice. The biggest issue was the parking though, we were lucky we were just picking up otherwise that would have been a bit more problematic.

Burger Fuel is probably the best restaurant chain in New Zealand. Their burgers are one of the best I've ever eaten, and it's on par with the price of McDonald's! The beef is very fresh. I love how they add beet root into their burgers - it actually blends well. For Muslims, they even have a halal option. Definitely a must try for everyone who comes to New Zealand!
