Stopped here for dinner when we were in town and enjoyed it. Very friendly owner and the food came out quick. Prawn toast was extra tasty 😁

Had a great experience at Thai Delight in Taupo. Lovely food. Good service. 👍

Great service, beautiful ambience- food was great - slightly expensive - only thing to note they should focus on increasing the quantity of rice with dishes especially when it cost $3 to have extra serving.

When you enter the restaurant you'll feel like you're teleported into Thailand. It has an intense decor with blue and gold everywhere. Food is great. We ordered the prawn cake with sauce and it was sweet and tangy we really loved. The portion of the fried rice was less for our indian appetite but food was great. We had the spicy noodles also

This is the best restaurant I’ve been to anywhere in the world in terms of ticking each box for a high standard of food, drinks and service. They were so busy when we visited without a booking, we thought we’d be turned away or at least have a long wait. Instead, a waitress immediately grabbed a table from outside and had it quickly set up with assistance near the bar. There was still ample room for us. The food and service are outstanding, but the biggest treat for me was the cocktail I had after the meal. This restaurant’s Thai Delight is the best and most imaginative cocktail I have ever had, and my former regular haunt in Barcelona was rightly rated as the best in the world by CNN Travel. We will definitely be back!

Authentic and exotic Thai cuisine in the heart of Taupo. Decent portions with decent prices. Enigmatic atmosphere made me feel like dining in a floral garden. Big, bold and beautiful flavors of Thailand. Very flavorful and memorable. Not to forget kid friendly as well. Really enjoyed our stop here for lunch. Would love to do it again!

Tasty Thai cuisine. Chicken and basil was very salty. Chicken breast was perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender. Green curry was very creamy. Good stop for lunch

Staff were great, drinks and food arrived promptly after ordering, we did go in on the early side of the dinner rush. But a very enjoyable experience. My rice dish was more than I could eat but it was very tasty. Thank you team

Best restaurant we've been to in NZ. My husband and I simply love their food. And we cannot say enough about the hospitality of the hosts. We always stop here for dinner or lunch every time we're in Taupo. Last time we tried the crab meat fried rice and soft shell crab- Amazing! We also never miss their prawn cakes. So yum! Can't wait to go again.

We stopped by for lunch on the way back to Auckland from Napier. They didn't have any more tables inside the restaurant but they did set us up on the outside.
They have a fairly large lunch menu and most sound quite tasty. They also have a nice selection of drinks.
The waitress was quite good at taking the orders and all the meals came out around the same time. I didn't mind their tom yum since it wasn't very sour. I had the pad Thai omelette. The sauce was sweet and tasty. It also had both chicken and prawns which was a nice surprise. Their Thai Iced tea was also quite nice. I had the coconut cocktail and that was also nice with bits of coconut, although it was more of a slushie so it did get a bit cold sitting outside. Not a bad place to stop by for food but it does seem to get busy so booking might be an option if you really wanted to dine here.

Table for 3 during a visit to Taupo. Restaurant is very well decked out with Thai paraphernalia that gives it a nice atmosphere.

Service as efficient and mostly friendly and welcoming.

Food is not untypical of most Thai restaurants, and was well presented and tasty. Cost was as you would expect from a Thai restaurant i.e. good!

This place will definitely be on our list of favorite restaurants when visiting Taupo next time.

Recommended.

I eat here twice a week and would hate to miss one. The food is great, the service is very good and the "servers" are always good. I go there about noon and as I sit down I get my usual glass of wine.
I will be there this Sunday. Again and again.
This is my fiance and my favourite restaurant in Taupo. Everytime we dine here we are amazed at the incredible value for money. The food is well seasoned (from the garlic prawns to the duck panang curries) and tasted to perfection and the staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend eating here.

Went for dinner here and service was good but the food was below average for what I expect at Thai. Fish cakes were rubbery and dry, black pepper beef had no black pepper and chicken, chili and basil had no chili or basil. The soups were good and no issues there. Others seem to rate this place and others we overheard in the restaurant also mentioned good things - perhaps it was what we ordered, but I cant tell. We would not go back, and would try other choices in Taupo.

This restaurant is superb. The food was excellent and beautifully presented as well as well priced. An inexpensive delicious meal. The service from the staff was also excellent. I was in Taupo for one night only or I would have gone back again. Thanks
