Great calamari excellent salad and loved the dressing! Beef burger was awesome!

Delicious food, coffee roasted and brewed perfectly and a great price. Friendly waiter's, clean facilities, good music, great atmosphere. Visit every time I come through Taupo - it's my go to 🙂👍🏼 Must try eggs on toast with creamy mushrooms 💙💙

Didn't get food just had a couple of pints and enjoyed the view. Like the layout. Awesome bar maid. Friendly. Fun and welcoming.

Pub n Grub was busy when we arrived, but it was easy to get a table. I got a steak with chips and a glass of wine, as did my partner. That came to $86, which is expensive enough but what you would expect to pay for the restaurant's location. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was delicious. The food came out pretty quick, and all the staff were very friendly.

We popped in for a drink. Casual bar/restaurant. Warm welcome. Relaxed atmosphere. Didn't try the food tho what was coming out looked very tasty. Very happy with beers on offer. Enjoyed the freshness of the on tap beer. We will return.

We were in Taupō for the weekend and this seems to be THE place to go. Was always busy with a good energy but we easily managed to find a table both times. Food was delightful (we had fish and chips) and portions large. Was great to watch the sun go down and to watch sport.

Went with a group last weekend. Personally I had Tempura Prawns followed by the Fettuccini with added chorizo and prawns. Mine superb. Couple of the other had crispy chicken - don't go near it. Atmosphere OK Service, given they were quite busy - adequate

Just a little more care in the preparation as one of our 4.meals had cold deep fried squid rings. Service was average fornthe price paid. Tip: 1. Staff should serve with a smile not a bored..." I don't want to be here" kind of attitude. 2. Come and ask how the meal is during the meal to see if everything is OK. Apart from that.. Great bar and new layout.

I had the fish burger and 2 pina coladas, absolutely amazing. My partner had the steak meal and was full until 2pm the next day. The customer service is great, I highly recommend.

Absolutely love Pub n Grub, we stop here for breakfast whenever we pass through Taupo. Staff are always friendly and miling, food is always delicious. The indoor seating it always kept clean and tidy, tables are cleared off almost immediately. Outdoor seating available with are also cleared off quickly, view of the lake while dining. Gluten free options available

Nice food, resonably priced loved the decor. Our waitress wasn't very responsive she must've had a long day we greeted her twice but no reply hope her day got better lol

Had dinner there in October 2022. The crispy salmon and the fettuccine were both delicious. Service was also excellent, noting that there is a general staff shortage nowadays.

My family and I have been coming here for the past few years every time we drop by Taupo. The food and service are always exceptional. Friendly staff and always have smiles on their faces. Great hearty pub meals that even our fussy son loves the menu. The view is spectacular right on the lake and in summer time this place truly has best vibe about it. We came here in January and even though the pub was pumping with customers, the wait time for food was pretty minimal. They even had a soloist playing out the front every day which was great to listen to and really brought a great atmosphere to the area. Honestly would recommend this place to everyone visiting town. Weather it’s a drive-through visit, or a longer stay. Pub n grub have great means from breakfast to dinner.

Delicious pub style food, good vibes, great music, and warm inside, and friendly service. Very central with great outdoor seating and view of the Lake.

Great coffee. They open early and were kind enough to put the football game on tv when asked. Okay prices and a large menu to choose from

Huge servings, great smiling staff, amazing whakapapa beer on tap. The best nachos I’ve ever had in New Zealand. Best location. Must have nachos when in Taupo.

Have been enjoying PnG for many years as we visit once or twice a year from Wairarapa. Excellent renovations, nice to see permanent duty manager behind bar. Music should change back to what was played years ago, 1960s and early 70's when the place really rocked and volume up a tad. Highly recommended to spend a night there.
