Review Huka Prawn Park - Taupo

The food was absolutely amazing. Really makes you full, it was worth it. I did not even wait for more than 10 mins. One thing better than the food is the service. The staff and their hospitality were incredible. I came here with my family and we asked whether there’s a room for us to pray and they gave us a room. Overall, dining here was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Much much thank you to the staff

We ate at the restaurant. The service was excellent. Our order came remarkably quickly. The prawn curry (pictured) was delicious and the prawns very fresh. The prawn cutlets were also very good.

Very fun activity park. There is a good variety of activites from little walks to water rides. Almost all of the activies are water themed so particularly for the kids having spare clothes or togs on would be recomended. However in saying that it isnt a water park and there are no swimming zones. The little pond with the boats and trikes etc was quite good fun and without queues you can jump from boat to boat trying them all. It was surprisingly un busy which made the experience all the more nicer. Pricing wasnt too bad however they make up for it at the cafe! Food was good at the cafe and the view was quite lovely but it is pricey.

We love our tour guide (front desk) for the day, we forgot to asked her name, she is so kind and sweet. And all the staff on the day. They are all lovely and so welcoming. And the lady whom I returned the life vest of my toddler, she end our day with a very lovely goodbye. 🥰 For the staff of the resto, so amazing. The food, it's superb. Perfect place for the family. Food and fun 5⭐ Surely, we will visit and spend our family time here 🥰 again.

Pretty cool place ! I personally think the price is a little steep in winter since you can't really enjoy all the water features. Looks like an amazing place to come back when the weather is warmer though. Food is on the steep side too. We did a tour with a lady that was very nice and taught us alot of things that we didn't know about prawns. It was a cool experience feeding the baby ones too.

First time visiting the Prawn Park as an adult and really enjoyed our time at the theme park. The tour was informative and the prawn feeding experience was fun. We also spent a lot of time trying out the various paddle / row boats and went for a short walk along the trail. The prawn meal was delicious and I would definitely get it again.

Looked great they where closed yesterday when we where their. Big car park out front the Entrance was nice and clean and there is a price list on the right well presented and on Pointe. Due to staff shortages and the current covert situation they only open 5 days a week so please check online before going there

Had such an amazing day here. Who would have thought prawn fishing could be so much fun. Popped in to show our UK guest the place with the view of going for lunch. Spent 4 hours, paddle boarding, fishing and having a great time....even managed to catch enough for our own lunch. Have been highly recommending

We are a group of 10 adults and 3 children, had fantastic fun filled day at this place. Very child friendly and has a restaurant after the tour. Unable to catch prawn though that day not allowed. Highly recommended.

An amazing day out with the family. So many interactive activities for the kids to do, with the highlight being feeding the baby prawns in the hatchery. The restaurant was reasonably priced with a great menu for kids and adults alike. Would highly recommend

Set in a stunning location on the edge of the mighty Waikato river is Huka prawn park... If u love ya fresh prawns & seafood then you'll enjoy the restaurant. Staff were amazing and so was the food. Beautiful & relaxing out door setting... you can even watch the jet boats zoom past. Unfortunately we didn't go into the park as prawn catching was closed but the trip to restaurant was well worth it.

Wish we'd still be able to fish prawns. This pandemic has affected this awesome experience but staff were awesome. Still got the guided tour of prawn farming. Also hopped on the row boats and paddle boards.
