Review Columbus Coffee - Taupo

Rex Corbett
A great place to stop on the way from Auckland to Napier. Just off the Taupo / Napier highway. With the cafe nestled inside the local M10 store, you can sit in the cafe or, sit in the garden centre and, enjoy you refreshing drink and snack in a restful setting. The drinks and food we ordered were great. The staff were pleasant and attentive to our needs. The toilets are a few metres away in the M10 store. All things being considered this is a great place o stop for a refreshment break. Would call again.

I went to Columbus coffee for my 18th birthday. Going out to restaurants have always been a struggle due to the thought of “i hope the food is worth the money”, And LET ME TELL YOU, Columbus coffee restaurant was DELICIOUS. You know that feeling of paying, waiting then seeing the food, And the second you taste it, That really dictates the whole experience, I demolished the pancakes. It was so special because the past month I had been craving pancakes for breakfast nearly everyday, and Columbus MADE DREAMS COME TRUE, A special bless and thank you to katie Rihia for being so kind 😚 Her friendliness made my experience so much better, She was so sweet thank you so much BLESS❤️

Consistently good blueberry muffins. The sausage roll was good the relish was delicious. Our son gave the Belgium hit chocolate a thumbs up. Our mocha latte hit the spot. The menu in the cabinet stays the same. However in saying that there is something for everyone. Good little inside playground for the little ones. Also they have a fire if it’s cold.

We eat here often, good food, great coffee and friendly staff. It is quite cold in winter even with the fire or heat pump going and the brown tables could do with a do-up.

Good selection and variety of dishes. Good counter service. Pleased to have a coffee shop that can make and knows what a black coffee/americano is with out all the issues.

Had lunch with husband and sister in law, a lovely meal that was presented well, delicious and we will go there again sometime soon. I had the Belgian waffles, and the other 2 had the Columbus breakfast. Thank you guys and gals from Columbus cafe.
