Review Vietnamese Joint - Taupo

Amazing spot 1 minutes walk from the lake. They have a dedicated vegan page on the menu, there aren’t too many dishes but we had everything other than the spring rolls and they were all fantastic. They’re even dog friendly and let us bring our dog in to sit with us 😁

Unforgettable Experience! The service of this restaurant is legit! The lemongrass pork rice is so yummy! The pho (rare beef) the best , I prefer this than chicken. The iced coffee is sooo good and the mango jelly so yummmmmm!

Our meals were delicious. This isn’t a fancy restaurant, but the food is very good. I had the vegetarian meal, which was very tasty. Very reasonably priced and a huge menu.

Friendly staff and tasty vegan menu items. They need to take greater care to keep peanuts out of the meal as our peanuts were separately supplied in a small dish due to a peanut allergy but somehow there was still peanuts sitting inside the bottom of the main dish.

This place has such a nice vibe, and great food, with vegan options too. You can even find out what zodiac year you are! I’d recommend anything with the baguette, as the bread they have pairs excellent with their broths and sauces.

We were so happy that this spot opened in Taupo, this has become our weekly go to dinner spot. The flavors are authentic and delicious. Now that it’s getting cold, the pho is my favorite order on the menu. My husband absolutely loves the spring rolls. Definitely give this place a go if you’re craving a good Asian feed!

Wow what a great find in Taupo. Food is beautiful, simple and yet elegant. Cheap affordable place with a smaller simple menu, but something for everyone. Particularly enjoyed the vegan dishes which are often hard to find. Highly recommend. Was enjoying the food so much forgot to take a photo until already half way through 😬

Really wanted some fresh Vietnamese food as we were passing through Taupō. This place was great. There was a misunderstanding with our order and the staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Can’t recommend them enough for a great bite to eat in the Taupō villlage. Also the Pandan waffles are amazing.

A must-try if you're stopping at Taupo as this up-and-coming Vietnamese restaurant is sure to impress. We had the low carb salad and beef noodle soup for dinner, with pandan waffles for dessert. Food taste was phenomenal, with the right portion sizing to match. To top it off, the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating - I was super keen to try the pandan waffles, but wasn't sure if I could finish a full serving after dinner, so the staff allowed me to order half a waffle, at half the price. The waffles can come with a side of condensed milk, or ice cream - and I chose the condensed milk. We're only sad that they're closed on Tuesdays - as we were dining on a Monday night, we couldn't visit them again before we left Taupo!

Although the price seemed a bit high, the food was amazing. Highly recommend the beef soup with rice/ noodle and the waffle with both condensed milk and ice cream. The kids loved it too 😊
