New chef came out personally to bring us our food. I ordered the croissant with the spinach and mushroom scramble. The croissant was perfectly flakey, buttery, crispy, and the eggs were perfectly soft and fluffy with a generous helping of spinach and mushrooms. Excellent and generous sized latte. All of the staff were lovely, funny and perfectly attentive. Eclectic, fun, vintage decor with plentiful seating for everyone. 10/10 would recommend!

We were looking for an easy breakfast spot, near our hotel and so glad we came across this place. I had the Veggie Breakfast and it was so delicious. So much flavour and my favourite breakfast in New Zealand so far. Highly recommend it.

Great coffee with Almond Breeze milk which is the best. Cabinet looked delicious but some very small savoury items were $12.50 each so I didn't buy. Expect to pay $18+ for cooked breakfast options. No gluten free options across entire muffin selection so I couldn't buy them either. Inside seating is weirdly sparse (may be renovating) but sitting outside in jn the sun was fab

I am blown away by this place and the staff! My best friend and I came in this morning for my birthday brunch, got chatting with the cashier and I let her know it was my birthday not only did they give me the coffee I ordered for free but she also brought out a beautiful GF orange cake with a decorated plate (no charge) and sang me happy birthday. I was so surprised and grateful! The food was outstanding and the coffee was beautiful. The service was fantastic! Thank you so much for making my day amazing 😊

I go to this cafe quite often and have never been disappointed. Today I got the fruit pancakes which were absolutely delicious. The service is always great and super fast, and the staff are really friendly, will definitely keep coming back :))

We went for a birthday lunch & I mentioned this to Pal. When I bought a blueberry & custard muffin for a birthday treat Pal presented it with special occasion trimmings as shown in the photo. Awesome! Great character & atmosphere @ this caff as well as the friendly staff & good food & beverages 👏🥰

The staff were so friendly and caring! Pal took good care of us, helping out a new staff member kindly when she was unsure and being so kind about a minor confusion. When two dishes were made she gave my friends the spare and made my friend's day! After a lovely conversation she returned with little sweets for all of us. 10/10 best service!!!

We were looking for a new place to have regular breakfast dates. Grindr was perfect ! Great prices and delicious breakfasts. To top the best breakfast we have had in a long time, we got a free lemon and almond cake from the stand in chef . We loved the service and the food. Great experience. Well done grinds. We will be back.

I went today as I had a free coffee voucher from my gym for my birthday and the staff were so nice and friendly, three of them came out and said happy birthday and I think it was the boss came out especially and shook my hand and said happy birthday and I also got a free slice. This made my day and I was very grateful for the kindness, I would definitely go back here, the staff are all so nice .

Great cafe that makes fantastic coffee. I had a flat white and tried the seafood chowder which wasn't stand out but certainly more than acceptable quality. Noticed they have an awesome early morning coffee special on weekdays at the moment, just $2.50 for any coffee.

I travel a lot teaching seminars, and working remotely as a bit of a digital nomad. It's really important to me to find nice places with good coffee and chilled atmosphere to get stuff done. A power socket and WIFI also make a difference. Not essential, but eye-catching for me is also a bit of homely decor. I just find it relaxing. This place had everything. It honestly felt like I was at home in my lounge working - particularly in the upper seating area. The staff were super kind, attentive and smiling. I've been back three times already and will keep coming back whenever I'm in town. THANKYOU! Highly recommend.

I had eggs Benedict this morning and it was delicious. Very generous bacon serving and the homemade tomato chutney absolutely made it. I ended up also taking some passion fruit cheesecake home for the family for dessert from the cabinet as the food in there all looked too good to resist. Will go back again that’s for sure.
