Found the Hop House on a rainy day in Tauranga while trying to find somewhere to have a drink or two. A fantastic place to find. Dedicated craft beer bar, with a big enough selection of beer to ensure you will find something you like but not so big you get overwhelmed with choice. And found a new fave beer - Cassels & Sons milk stout. The barman told me this beer won best in world four times at the World Beer Awards and I can see why. Step aside Guinness. Went for the special of the day which was roast lamb in a crusty ciabatta with chips. Simple and hearty. The chips tasted almost like roast potatoes and could not have gone down any better. The lamb was tender and came with a gravy that made me want to lick the plate clean. Definitely add the Hop House onto your list if you’re visiting Tauranga.

Great experience going to this place for dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They took the time to understand your order clearly. Food was delicious and decent sized portions. Nice relaxed pub kitchen type atmosphere. Would definitely come again.

Went to the Hop House for a Wednesday night quiz night. Had a blast! Customer service was very friendly. I ordered a burger which was delicious. Good portion size and reasonably priced. I only give them 4 stars because there was a slight mix up with my order but was minor and easily forgivable considering how busy they were.

Great wee pub on the strand in Tauranga. Gets pretty busy on a Friday night but worth a visit. Friendly staff, plenty of beers and other drinks available to choose from and really delicious menu of burgers and pizzas, including catering for dietary restrictions e.g. vegetarian. Bus station is about 3 minutes walk away. Overall good experience here, not the cheapest of Tauranga Beers but delicious all the same.

Great little brewpub! Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Special shout-out to Christine, who went the extra mile for our kids. Would absolutely go back. Good choice for families. They have board games, coloring, and kid gear.

Great food and lovely staff. No table service which we didn’t mind. What we did mind was being asked to pay extra for some mayonnaise after ordering plenty of food for a decent sized group. That’s cheeky!

Pretty standard little pub on the strand. There is some good outdoor seating, good beers on tap, the bartenders are friendly. I had the french fries and they were cut and cooked to perfection but were a bit on the bland side for us. It's a great place for a Saturday night to sit outside and get tipsy. I will be back for sure.

What a place, great value service was out standing. The girls bent over backwards to make our family celebration fantastic, even with 1 year old overly mobile twins. Thank you guys.
