Love Top Golden Horse, the service and food are great! Their chicken and sweetcorn soup is my favourite, their burgers are delicious and their smorgasbord is always fresh and yum. Chips are always hot and fresh as well.

Absolutely divine food! We highly recommend. We will be working our way through the entire Chinese menu as the food was the most tastiest we've had in along while. Beats anywhere else hands down! Service isn't much to be desired, but who cares when the foods absolutely delish!

Spotlessly clean and the best Chinese takeaways I have had in Tauranga. Favourite is Chicken Fried Rice with cashews. Very humble polite owners.

I don't like to write negative reviews, but I have never been more DISGUSTED by the chinese takeaways we got last night. We ordered a chicken fried rice and sweet&sour pork; I genuinely believe that we were served meat that was neither chicken nor pork. The disappointment started before we'd even opened the containers. The fried rice was mushy white rice that had no soy sauce so looked like it would be very bland. It did have flavour, but it tasted like they'd used the flavour sachet out of a pack of Maggi 2 minute noodles. The "chicken" looked more like the fat u cut off your meat and throw away, was a slightly pinky colour and we even found some suspicious greenish-black spots on a few pieces. The "pork" was no better, the batter was soggy and when we cut a piece open the meat was a very deep purple colour and tasted like it had been cooked in a very dirty pan. We each had 1 mouthful of both meals to 'give it a go' and both full meals went straight into the trash!!! The owners should be very ashamed of their business.

A family owned restaurant with good value meals and offer a large range. I would recommend if wanting quality on a budget.

I don't know about the fish&chips, but never get sushi there. Dry, tasteless and just gross. Doesn't near meet the standards of other sushi places.
