Review Cafe Anatolia Tauranga - Tauranga

Chris Bold
Holy goodness! That was the best Turkish I've ever had and I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't try it sooner! So much flavour packed into a very generous plate of food. Very appropriately priced and the staff were polite, happy and efficient. I highly recommend trying their food 😁 Will definitely be back again.

Cafe Anatolia is part of popular chain, but new to Tauranga. Its interior is spacious, airy and attractive, although I imagine they will have to put more tables in as more people start coming here. We had both the chicken and the lamb kebabs with 3 sauces (garlic yogurt, hummus and hot chili make an awfully good combination). The first thing we noticed is that the wrap was more of a tortilla than a flat bread, making me want to call it a Turkish "burrito." The second thing we noticed is that they were fabulous. In fact they're rather addicting--we came back again for lunch two days later. Note: if you like desserts they have an impressive selection of bakery goods in their display case, not Turkish but they looked yummy.

Very nice tidy and clean place. Friendly staff member who was very happy to serve. Easy access for wheelchairs and lots of parking. Great to stay for a meal or for takeaways.

Great female staff on Wednesday night very helpful focused and skilled. Food was quality close to hospital by bike. Feel refreshed and energised. Healthy food.

I absolutely love everything. The staff. The food. The atmosphere. It doesn't matter if we are taking away out food or eating in. Service is always exceptional.

Had this all the time when we lived in The Awamutu and loved it, same here for sure. Big open dining area, happy staff and nice and clean. Had lamb kebab and was tasty as and loaded with meat. Wife had chicken chips with salad and was massive as well. Son had chessy garlic bread that was awesome too

We both had the keto iskender. It was really tasty and a very generous service. Top quality! Perhaps an idea to add a small box to the menu.

Very yummy food. Always fresh tasting and friendly service. Tried this tonight for the first time with our toddler and she loved it! I've never seen her willingly eat so much salad

Calm environment. Good portion size. It's almost double the amount of food I get in Auckland for the price. Friendly and quick service. Really good food. On point to how I requested for... In love with this place!! On my list of must have in Tauranga.

Large cafe - restaurant with plenty of open space. My first visit to purchase takeaway Turkish iskender on Labour Weekend. I was the only customer in the shop. Felt it difficult to hear the assistant through the Covid shield. Food was okay, but lacking sauces and taste. I thought it a little too fatty, given other Turkish comparisons...

The two ladies who served us tonight. Thank you so much for the excellent service. I would honestly live to give you more than 5 stars. Food was amazing customer service, just perfect

Good vegetarian options. The kebabs are a good size, and come with decent sauce selection. Good location, nice big store with plenty of places to sit. Coffee barista is there as well as the usual selection of death drinks (soda). Baklava!

We go here every Thursday to have a night off cooking for a reasonable price. The staff are so friendly (especially Corban) and the food is so fresh and tasty. Always get the chicken kebab and my partner being vegan gets the falafel kebab without beetroot (as that has yogurt in it). We get a great friendly greeting when we arrive and a genuine thank you and farewell as we leave. We also think they have the best chips in Tauranga - is it the seasoning??????? Will continue to frequent here weekly - cheap, cheerful and tasty!

Very nice Turkish food. Price is a little more expensive thank the likes of other Turkish places in Tauranga but the food is by the far the best quality. The ambience is lovely with lots of space between tables but this means that there aren't many tables. Prompt and friendly service at a convenient location.
