This fish and chip shop is the best ever! The food is to die for! Like rave about it good and it's like this consistently. I always walk out feeling like that there's still good in this world - the team here are always happy, very efficient and it warms my heart to hear a few lines of whatever song is on sung along to. You guys are such a vibe.

Wow probably one of the best fish and chips I have ever had! She put the fried fish in a separate bag so the batter would not get squashed and soggy. I was not expecting this level of service from a fish and chips shop, and she was right the batter stayed crispy, light and tasted amazing! Would definitely come here again. Highly recommended.

Best fish & chips in Tauranga and (I’m gonna make a big claim here) best hot dogs in NZ. Amazing value for money, especially considering the quality- massive pieces of fish, beautiful crispy batter. The staff is awesome too- really accommodating & friendly, and if you’re lucky you might get a free concert from the team while you’re waiting for your order!
I can’t ever move out of this neighbourhood now because the humble fish & chip has been ruined for me anywhere else!

Fantastic new owners at this fish and chip shop! The fish was beautiful even the hoki i got for the kiddies tasted wonderful. Very impressed and I feel the owner is going to get quite a good reputation. She was polite and lovely to have a chat with while my food was cooking, thank you so much!

Since the change of ownership this shop has improved in leaps and bounds. I have just changed a previous entry of 3 stars to 5 and wish I could give more. Will never again go across town to Dive Crescent. Awesome food, clean oil ued and I have a happy wife.

This place has been a local favourite for many years and it's just gonna better since Diane has taken over. When you can't be bothered to cook. Fish and chips is a super easy classic kiwi takeaway. One the whole family will enjoy. We always call ahead to and it's hot and ready pickup in 15mins or less. This place is so good when you have plenty of hungry mouths to feed. Mangatupu have the best chips, our favourite fish to order is the battered gurnard. Walking distance from the beach no dishes easy as.
