Review Central Cafe - Te Awamutu

Love the vibe. The whole nostalgic theme of the cafe is special. One of our new locals to go to with the kids. The food and drinks are so delicious, fresh, and on-point. Our family loves this place.

Oh yum! I did not finish my breakfast because it was huge 🙂 Tasty and timely! The wait time to get my breakfast was not long and I had just finished a workout at BFT (only around the corner in walking distance) so I was starving. The meal not only looked good, it was tasty and the bacon at other places often looks crispy (tastes crispy too) but these bacon strips were just right 🤤. Also, I ordered an Americano coffee even though it was not actually advertised 😳 so...Thank you! 🤩 I thoroughly enjoyed eating what I could fit in ❤️

I had to go buy the Steak, cheese, & Bacon Pie. 2023 6th place Bakels winner. And I must say, I'm glad I did. What a treat it was. Delicious in every way and their Pastry is perfect. Yumm

This cafe is spacious, with plenty of seating to choose from. The staff were happy, helpful and served our group quickly. I had a chocolate butterfly cake with real fresh whipped cream, yum!

Ordered a coffee and creamy mushrooms. Both were excellent, although the creamy mushrooms did need some extra seasoning. Not always bad thing though as some people cant have too much salt. Food is back to basics but done well. Coffee was extremely good. Milk was perfectly done and presentation was excellent. We are new to the area and will definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely experience to all the team at Central Cafe.

Really cool vibe at this place with the way it is decorated. I feel relaxed here and it was my go to for breakfast whilst on business in Te Awamutu. Most staff friendly, just one of the younger ones could do with a happier greeting first thing in the morning (but I'm just being picky here).

Wonderful place to stop and eat. Boy I ate THE BEST EVER vegetarian panini not once but twice, so not a one off event. Great atmosphere, staff care about working there and you. It's in the middle of the main street on the left (heading towards Pirongia) with uncovered shopfront.

Had a great lunch here last Thursday. I had the Mac n Cheese which was very creamy and cheesy, yes real cheese, really delicious. Love this 'Rock'nRoll themed cafe. As for coffee, it has excellent coffee usually made by the beautiful Reanna.

Quick, attentive, polite & nice coffee 😊. Interesting decor, entertainment in itself! Enjoy something different while you wait, not that you would be waiting long, fast & friendy service.

First timers from out of town. Nice decor, friendly staff. Three of our group had Eggs Benedict. Nice bread and plenty of bacon at a reasonable price. However, eggs were all hard, not the nice runny texture they should have been.

We were having lunch on their outside table, when a gust of wind sent the neighboring umbrella crashing onto our table . My wife was hit by the umbrella causing large bruising on arm. Several bystanders came to our aid, the local meter lady stopped and checked on us and went into cafe to advise them of the incident and injury. She went in again to tell them. At no time did any staff approach us to check on us. A staff member came out to lower the umbrellas when I approached them , she gave us a filthy look still no concern. <br/>Food was ok but people skills zero

Well priced, coffee was great and staff very friendly. Nachos however were a little dull. Good portion size and value for money but a lacking in flavour and 'interestingness'

awesome friendly staff, meal was extremely well priced, would have been easily double that at home!! (auckland) and coffee was brilliant. I will definitely be back A+++++++
