Review Stoked Eatery - Te Kuiti

The Best fresh tasty food, beautifully prepared. Dinner was so good we went there for dinner the next night as well. Highly recommend the Lamb Salad, Beef Thai Salad, the chicken Salad with pineapple salsa, the potato skins and the cheesy Garlic bread. The deserts didn't disappoint either. Also very yummy cocktails. Lovely meals with friendly waitresses and a nice vibe with relaxing quiet music in the background. Pity we are going back to Australia otherwise we would eat there again. Well worth the stop for a meal or two if you are visiting Waitomo caves.

This is an awesome stop while traveling for a nice feed! We had Garlic Cheesy Rewena, Pork Belly Bites, and Potato Skins. Everything was so yummy. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Lots of mocktails and cocktails. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff we're super friendly and onto it as well, which is always such a plus!

A beautiful restaurant that was a lovely way to end a big work trip. I had the garlic bread, three brisket tacos & sticky date pudding. All really good value for money, perfectly presented & tasty. Service staff were friendly, relaxed & efficient. Definitely worth a visit.

Love love loved this place! The restaurant feels unique in that it’s within the historic train station in Te Kuiti, and you can either sit inside or at a table out on what would have been the platform right, next to the tracks. Our server, Mo, was utterly delightful while being helpful and efficient in attending to a growing crowd. We ordered beers then the delicious Thai Beef Salad with thick-cut fresh baked sourdough garlic bread. Yummy! We were tempted by the dessert choices since they sounded so good, but we decided to wait until next time. Strong recommendation!

Unexpectedly nice cafe along the railway. Nice Kiwi dishes! Love their crispy pork hock with coconut fragrant rice ❤️❤️❤️ There are vegetarian options available too.

Stopped and had a delectable late lunch. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Creative plates and tasty beverages. Friendly staff and reasonable prices for quality food. Would come here again. Ample parking as well.

Food was good and it was a quirky environment as an old abandoned railway station. Service was lacking, slow- perhaps because we sat outside. The food was OK, not wow but worth a visit. Fried chicken a bit dry.

Fantastic restaurant; everything tasted superb and was cooked perfectly. The lamb shank fell off the bone and the gravy was rich and delicious. The mash was silky and the veg still had some bite. The grilled sandwich was also well executed. And lastly the date pudding was fabulous, not too sweet but very moreish. Highly recommend giving Stoked Eatery a try! Will not disappoint.

We stopped here on the way to New plymouth from Auckland. We used to go to our regular cafe and it was closed. So we found this gem. Good food and ambience. Staff is really nice. Overall experience was awesome. Must visit again.

Just had lunch here, sirloin steak was perfect! bit of a wait but our wait staff Josie and other waitress was on to it and offered us free drink or pudding. We had steamed pudding which was equally delicious. Friendly staff, good atmosphere yummy food... Thank you

Average food and service, at best. I had the lamb shank which could have been cooked longer as shank should be falling off the bone tender. The sauce was blasé. My BF had the nachos which he said were some of the worst he has had. There is no a/c or ceiling fans indoors, we moved outside when the sun went behind some buildings which was much nicer.

My partner and I stopped here on the way through Te Kuiti to have lunch. The best food we've had in ages. We had the Chicken, bacon and mushroom fettuccine and the lamb salad (made with lamb shanks, beetroot, kumara and feta), both beautifully made and tasted great. The service was exceptional also. Highly recommend this place.

We stopped at Stoked Eatery on the way back to Auckland from a weekend at the snow. The two minis were starving and overtired so we were stoked (‘scuse the pun) to find this place. The sun was streaming in, the service was great and the food was perfect. A total asset to little Te Kuiti! Well done guys.

Not only was the food tantalizing -both nights- we dined at Stokes but the decor and small touches of color that turned this former train station into an incredibly eye pleasing modern diner are phenomenal. Icing on the cake is their sinfully good Fried Apple Pie. One bite and you’re in heaven.

Great refurb of the old railway station , lovely staff and the food is wonderful. A real notch above - beautifully prepared fish and mussel with bacon fritters for entree! Good wine, range of beers and generally a damned pleasant experience! Thank you.

Always a hit and miss with this place!! Was really disappointing tonight! Had to wait a while for our order to be taken, waited nearly an hour for food to come out, we were never asked if we wanted any more drinks or water and the food was really average!! Cheesy garlic rewana bread was really good though.

A total treasure! I don't usually post reviews of places, but seriously that was the best steak and chips I have had in my life. I will dream about it! Staff were lovely, food was divine. I will recommend it to everyone I know -locals and visitors. Such an asset to our little town! Ka pai guys :)

Stopped on the way through Te Kuiti for a late lunch. Amazing food and generous portions - between four of us we really enjoyed the quesadillas, Caesar salad, seafood chowder, and chips. Would definitely stop here again!
