Beautiful meals, fast and efficient service! December 2022 > We're back again, and yet another great experience. Service and food both fantastic. Take the time to stop in, you won't regret it!

Perfect array of Option on the menu and are priced perfectly unlike Austin's. Can't fault the food or Atmosphere but the Service could be a little bit faster.

Went in last Saturday, I had the pork belly which was amazing, compliments to the chef. The service was great as it came out quickly and hot and the staff were super sociable and friendly. Love the vibe of the restaurant, feels cosy and calm. Would 100% go back

Seemed the only option in town beside Fast Food/takeaway, so I ordered a couple of beers and the smash burguer, staff was very nice, and food came out fast. It was a quiet place to enjoy your food and since I am travelling alone that was the kind of ambient I was looking for. I rate 4 star the food cause the burguer buns (good bread) where small for the amount of ingredients and stuff inside the burguer, So in the end I had to use my fork and knive, otherwise perfect

Stopped for Dinner on journey from Dunedin to Christchurch. Good pub food and large portions. Between our group we had Steak, Chicken Schnitzel Nachos, Big Breakfast and Burger. The place had a steady flow of patrons, a lot of them locals. Nice friendly staff, and a shamrock on the Guinness.

Me and my partner had the scotch steak, salad chips and onion rings. The flavour in everything was beautiful! The steak wasn’t chewy and rough, was nice and tender. The chips perfectly seasoned and salad was delicious 🤤. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere was welcoming.

My husband , niece and I were on our way to Dunedin when we decided to stop at a sleepy town, Temuka for lunch. We picked the Jolly Potter. The quirky name took our fancy. I am so glad we went in for lunch. The food was fabulous. It was fresh, yummy and the owners were very friendly. We had fish of the day-pan fried orange roughy on fresh veggies and potatoes, smoked chicken salad and pasta with mushrooms and bacon.

I bought a takeaway chicken pasta meal, service was quick and the meal was delicious. Serving size was very large. The place was full at 6:45 pm on a Tuesday, you would want to phone in advance.

What I like about the Jolly Potter is you know what you are going to get, its hearty, inexpensive &amp; has that lively small town feel about it.<br/>The food is the way it has always been, large &amp; tasty. Recommend the steaks
