Review Gastronomics Restaurant & Bar - Thames

Attended a work Christmas party here and had the festive menu. All of the food was well balanced, tasty, and cooked perfectly. The service seemed a tiny bit clunky and bumping into waiters on stairs when going to the toilet. You’ll remember having a nice food in a slightly too loud restaurant but nothing stood out for me unlike other menus for the same price.

The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere and the food is amazing, with lots of fresh produce and deep robust flavours. The staff were very friendly and super attentive; even did some lovely birthday surprises for our table. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely delicious, service was excellent. We had booked a table for 3 originally but we needed to increase to 7, and the restaurant was quickly able to accommodate. Food, drinks and ambience were perfect, and very much enjoyed after work meal with colleagues.

The prices and value for money of the fixed menu is excellent for a fine dining restaurant, I don't think there are any other restaurants in London that can beat it. Overall we had a great time and will be back again soon.

Absolutely amazing treat. Everything was delicous. Stand out was the carrot salad, the celeriac and Eccles cake.we had the set menu. Service and Food was great .

Simply one of the best restaurants I've ever been too. Get the goats cheese and pea ice-cream starter. Sounds a bit ridiculous, but tastes incredible.

Fantastic! I had a Ribeye and a panna cotta, both dishes were a fine tuned explosion of flavors. This was by far the best food I had in London so far!

Wonderful experience. We have tried the Festive Menu and everything was fantastic. I've reserved on The Fork and added a note on occasion being a birthday, they remembered about it and gave us an additional desert with a candle - lovely touch! We will most definitely be back!

The restaurant was very noisy. The waiting staff were all very polite but didn’t match up to the prices of food. We were served by different people which never helps so hard to build a rapport. Gents toilets didn’t have hand towels. Just kissing the basics but can’t fault the food, it was incredible.

Just wow! Amazing experience at the chefs counter, sitting in the kitchen. Fantastic atmosphere and so much fun to be able to chat with the chefs as they worked. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, from presentation to taste, absolutely flawless. The tasting menu is a lot of food! So arrive hungry. They paid attention to our dietary requirements/preferences too. The only criticism was that the drinks took wayyyy too long to arrive. We had been served two food courses before our first drink arrived. The food did arrive very quickly and we felt a little rushed. Would’ve been nice to have longer gaps. I wonder if they had other bookings after us that they were trying to fit in? Overall a great experience and a wonderful evening.

We had the tasting menu at the chefs counter. The food was absolutely incredible and delicious. The atmosphere with the music and watching the chefs go about their work was amazing. We also had the wine pairing, which added another level to the meal. The service was perfect and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and happy to spend time talking with us. Would love to return again.

Almost impossible to find due to a fundamental lack of signage (one assumes to emit an impression of "cool"). We visited as a group of friends on a wet Tuesday lunchtime. We were sole occupants for quite a while with very little atmosphere. This was great for us as we had so much to catch up on and could actually hear each other (realise how old this makes me sound). The service was prompt, and the food was good, not amazing. Those who had the steak were pleasantly surprised at the quality and how well it was cooked. We would happily go back for lunch again.

Epic meal, the best meal for my most recent quick trip to London. Wine list is superior. All the food was delicious. My significant other has a laundry list of food allergies and the kitchen produced a meal worth remembering. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. Dessert was divine. I will definitely return on my next visit across the pond.

Great spot for amazing and well constructed modern European cuisine. Can tell the food is made with great imagination and thought. Service could be a bit faster and more personalised given the price of the food, though any issues feel minor compared to the quality of food on offer!

A great laid-back restaurant. The food is excellent and good value for this type of restaurant. It was our anniversary, and they made it a great night to remember. We also had cocktails in the bar upstairs before, I'd definitely recommend getting there early to experience this too!

Our second time at social eating house enjoying the chef‘s counter experience. We had a fabulous time and were lucky enough to have the lower ground kitchen area all to ourselves. All dishes were delicious and staff super professional, welcoming and everything on point! We will be back

3 course lunch with a carafe of French red wine (Carbenet and merlot), white will be French Grenache blanc included service charge cost £55.69 Quite a reasonable price for a Michelin restaurant. Food quality and presentation is great tho a slight longer waiting time each course. It’ll be great if the lunch set comes with warm breads and butter to complete the whole course. Overall, I enjoy the food and service is wonderful. I definitely will back again for new menu next visit. Food were bursting your taste buds!

Chef also Keshan comes through to diners to check they are satisfied with food and service

group of us went it the other day.<br/>For starters we got garlic bread and calamari. <br/><br/>Garlic bread was very oily which made the bread very soggy. it was so oily it made us feel sick.<br/>Calamari was the worst calamari ive had. the crumb was soggy and tasteless.<br/><br/>i ordered the fish and it was the worst cooked fish i have ever had. no flavour whatsoever.<br/><br/>the food was really bad overall. <br/><br/>honestly, im not being picky but no one at our table enjoyed the food. <br/><br/>the chef should be ashamed to serve food like that.

My partner and I just returned home from eating a meal at your restaurant, and we both have to admit, this place is well below standard unfortunately. The "host" was rude, not friendly at all, basically seemed there to get his pay cheque. had garlic bread to start which was actually nice but out came the main and absolutely ruined it. My partner had the steak meal, asked for medium, it came out virtually rare with a weird slimy texture, and tasted what he described as 'fishy'. The bacon mash was clearly out of a packet. My vege risotto was edible, but I suspect the veges were all frozen. Quite underwhelming, which is a shame as we both really enjoy eating out.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night. It was a memorable occasion with the occasion being a 50th birthday. Compliments to the Chef!!! Definately a top star restaurant in Thames. Even the extra personal service during our dinner. Thanks Kishan and team. Nga Mihi Caroline Landon

I have visited this restaurant on three occasions now and it has never failed to impress. The seafood chowder has to be tried to be believed. I have also had the steak which came with a delicious jus. Great food and good value to boot.<br/>The chef is obviously extremely experienced and enjoys meeting his customers. Service is brisk so there are no lengthy waits. <br/>I have total confidence in recommending this restaurant to diners.

Went here the other night with my parents and the food was fantastic. Great portion size and very good value for money. Will definitely be stopping again on my way through from Auckland to Corro. Chef was friendly and was happy to hear we enjoyed his meal. I rate myself as a bit of a foodie and chatted to the chef and he is also a top food judge at very high NZ level. In short a must try. Delish!!

Had dinner at this restaurant last night and the meal was amazing. I had the pork medallion which was cooked to perfection.So reasonably priced as well! Value for money. Fine dining at economic prices. I highly recommend this restaurant.
