Review Hi Stranger - Thames

Emma Halford
We had a really enjoyable lunch at this lovely cafe adjacent to a charming bookshop. We were greeted by friendly staff who chatted to us about our travels! The choice of lunch options was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the sweet treats. Great coffee also! Couldn’t recommend more.

Great little spot in Thames !! Very cute atmosphere with a nice selection of cabinet food, baked goods and smoothies . Some gluten free treats available. Really tasty coffee too !

Nice little cafe with good coffee and particularly good quiche selection. Warning, they have no toilet, but there are public toilets across the road down Mary St. And as a real bonus they adjoin the amazing Carsons Bookshop with a handy walk through.

A pleasant little Cafe that is adjacent to a bookshop. The selection of savoury food was somewhat limited but the yummy desserts and sweet options more than compensated! Service was efficient although the cafes situation inside a bookshop could have led to the expectation of a more relaxed and friendly approach with patrons lingering to discuss their favorite authors.

Popped in for a takeaway coffee👍... Great service, great coffee and delicious banana & chocolate loaf. We will be back on our next visit up the Coromandle.

One of the best coffees I've had in a long time and food is awesome. Definitely going to be coming back

Great Cafe in centre of town. Cabinet food not only looks good, but tastes good and is made fresh each day. Coffee is superb. Awesomely kind stuff that make you want to return.

This Cafe is always worth visiting. I don't think there is a better, fresher cabinet selection of food in Thames. Coffee is consistently good, service is quick, food and coffee arrive at the same time. The quality of food, coffee and service has not diminished over the couple of years(?) that Hi Stranger has been open.

Three of us visited at 12. Love the date and orange scones

I had intended on going to a different cafe, but since that one was closed, I happened to come across this one. So glad I did as my smoothie and salmon bagel were both so so delicious, lovely staff and great atmosphere :D

A great cafe. Good coffee, the best scones, very friendly service. Sitting outside is comfortable and provides a very distracting view of a busy corner's foot traffic.

The filled scone might be the yummest thing I’ve ever eaten 🤩 Pretty cafe with great food and coffee, indoor and outdoor seating, interesting and cute plant collection, professional staff. And it’s right next to a bookshop! Perfect. 100% will visit again
