Review Old Bank Cafe & Bar - Timaru

Nice old pub to hang out in. We were in town and we tried this place out. Glad we did. We had 2 lovely meals for around $20. They also have a range of $15 meals for over 60s and kids meals. Will be back here there when we're in Timaru.

Had a chicken snitzel.meal tonight with salad and fries,partner had it with roast veggies. Was absolutely amazing, snitzel was huge.i also had a coffee which was divine, perfect strength and temperature. Highly recommend.

Had a great time here. The wait staff were happy and funny and prompt. Thank you. Oh and the food was great!

I really dont want to say how good this place is just in case I cant get a table. We come here every time we go to Timaru the food is so so good, the meals are so generous I have to get a Takeaway container. The meals in the photos are from the light menu would you believe it!! Staff were very nice the service was quick you cant felt the place. We'll be back real soon.

We love the food, thumbs up to the chef. Lovely little place in town to stop in and have lunch.

The menu hunkers down with Kiwi favourites, as well as pub classics from all over the world. Mains include anything from Canterbury lamb shank to chicken cordon bleu, schnitzel, ribeye steak, and the traditional Kiwi roast that should fill your boots with no problem. Aside from that, they have a delicious range of pastas, burgers, paninis, salads and lighter meals for those who are avoiding a food coma. ( but it's well worth of money ) i really like steak. Recommend 🎉

Staff are very friendly and food is reasonably priced. You get large portions too! I'd recommend the loaded wedges - very yummy!

This is a lovely cosy cafe to relax after a day of shopping or meeting friendsand family for a lunch date, food is delicious and fresh and the service is excellent HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Had lunch here and it was the best Pub meal I have had in a very long time.... awesomely priced Food was fast and the staff were great I would highly recommend coming for the food and a comfortable atmosphere 👍👍

This hands down is the best place to have a meal in Timaru area. Meals reasonably priced and always delicious. Staff lovely and whenever Im in Timaru I will only go here for lunch. Long time regular customer. Don't ever change! Recommend to all visitors who want a lovely meal. Have tried nearly everything on the menu.

Our school mates celebrated our 60th birthdays the food atmosphere & service was perfect here last week the staff were great taking photos and enjoying the fun as much as we all did. *****+

Good food and drink. One minor menu issue, not really surprising given we were part of large group. Friendly staff.

Our party of 4 had the roast of the day which was surperb. Plenty of meat and veges with delicious gravy. The staff were a little stressed and it took a long time for drink's etc but a pleasant evening.

Lovely people and food but 2.5 hours was way too long
